1.Abnormal myocardial contractile responses in patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy
Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2003;0(08):-
Objective To investigate abnormal myocardial contractile responses induced by dobutamine in patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).Methods Eighteen DCM patients underwent low dosage dobutamine stress echocardiography (5,10,20 ?g?kg~ -1?min~ -1).Transthoracic echocardiogram was recorded with the use of a HP Sonos 5500 color echocardiographic diagnostic system.Wall motions in 16 myocardial segments were assessed using a four-point scale recommended by the American Society of Echocardiography.During dobutamine infusion, abnormally contracting segments were classified into four different patterns of contractile response: improved, unchanged, worsened and biphasic.Unchanged, worsened and biphasic segments were defined as abnormal contractile responses.Worsened and biphasic segments were judged to be ischemia-like responses. Results All patients showed abnormal myocardial contractile responses of wall motions (100%),and thirteen were ischemia-like responses ( 72.2%).In total 225 segments,126 segments showed abnormal contractile responses ( 56.0%).Among them,97 segments were unchanged segments ( 43.1%),29 segments were ischemia-like responses ( 12.9%),in which 16 segments were worsened ( 7.1%),and 13 segments were biphasic ( 5.8%).The statistical analysis showed that incidence of improved segments was highest in two point segments( 62.1%) compared with three point and four point segments; incidence of ischemia-like responses was highest in three point segments( 24.6%); incidence of unchanged segments was highest in four point segments( 68.4%).Conclusions DCM has the abnormal myocardial contractile responses induced by dobutamine stress echocardiography. It indicates there is the ischemia-like energy mismatch between demand and supply in DCM,which would be related to etiology and progress of DCM.
2.Correlation of AFP with clinical pathological factors and prognosis of primary hepatic carcinoma
Clinical Medicine of China 2012;28(10):1101-1103
Objective To investigate the correlation of serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) with clinical pathological factors and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma ( HCC ).Methods Two hundred and twenty patients with HCC who hospitalized in our hospital from January 2007 to June 2009 were enrolled in this study. The relationship of AFP levels before operation to clinical pathological factors such as pathological grade, tumor size, tumor encapsulation, tumor numbers, portal vein tumor thrombus,TNM stage and postoperative recurrence were analyzed. Results Serum AFP concentration before operation were related with tumor size ( x2 =11.76,P < 0.05 ),tumor encapsulation ( x2 =17.07,P < 0.05 ),portal vein tumor thrombus ( x2 =8.944,P < 0.05 ),higher TNM stage ( x2 =4.929,P < 0.05 ) and early postoperative recurrence rate ( x2 =5.569,P < 0.05 ).However,it had no correlation with pathological edmondson grade tumor numbers. Conclusion HCC patients with high serum AFP concentration often has greater tumor without encapsulation, high occurrence rate of portal vein tumor thrombus and higher TNM stage, they are more likely to early postoperative recurrence.Serum AFP before operation is useful not only for diagnosis, but also as a prognostic biomarker to predict prognosis and recurrence.

4.Influence of Animation on Autistic Children's False Belief Understanding
Chinese Mental Health Journal 1989;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate an effective paradigm to test false belief understanding for the Autism. Method:By comparing the multimedia animation presentation and the traditional presentation, 20 autistic children's false belief understanding was analyzed as well as the normal children's.Results:Animation presentation was really helpful to both groups, especially for the children with autism. The performance might be underestimated due to the application of the traditional presentation in false belief tasks. Conclusion:The autistic children's theory of mind can be measured much closer to the truth if the more apt tasks are considered.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(08):-
Objective To explore the prognostic factors of nosocomial infection in severe hepatitis and liver cirrhosis, and to assess its prevention and treatment. Methods A prospective study of nosocomial infection of severe hepatitis and liver cirrhosis was carried out in our hospital from Apr.1996 to Dec.2000.The prognostic factors of nosocomial infection in severe liver diseases was analyzed by logistic regression. Results The mortality of nosocomial infection in severe liver was 37 36%(34/91).Multiple regression analysis showed that prognosis was in order variables related to follow factors:Serum bilirubin, prothrombin time, complement C3,serum cholesterol, serum sodium, white blood cells count, polymorphonuclear cell rate, the kinds of nosocomial infection, severe complications and improper medical manipulations. The prognostic factors high correlated with nosocomial infection via analysis by logistic analysis were as follows:low serum complement C3 and low cholesterol. Conclusions The nosocomial infection were important factors that cause highly mortality in severe liver diseases. The prognositic factors high related with nosocomial infection of severe liver diseases were:low serum complement C3 and cholesterol level.
8.The cardioprotective effect of diazoxide preconditioning in immature rabbits
Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1995;0(12):-
Objective To investigate whether diazoxide preconditioning can exert protective effect on myocardium against ischemia-reperfusion injury in immature rabbits and the possible mechanism. Methods Twenty-one healthy 3-4 week old white rabbits of either sex were randomly divided into 3 groups : group Ⅰ control ( n = 8) ; group Ⅱ diazoxide preconditioning ( n = 8) and group Ⅲ diazoxide + 5-HD preconditioning ( n = 5) . The animals were anesthetized with intraperitoneal pentobarbital 50 mg?kg-1 and heparized (150 IU?kg-1). The hearts were excised and connected to Langendorff apparatus and passively perfused with normothermic (37℃), oxygenated (95% O2 , 5% CO2) Krebs-Henseleit buffer (KHB) at a constant perfusion pressure of 70cmH2O. A latex balloon was inserted via left atrium into left ventricle and filled with water. The left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) was maintained at 10 mm Hg. In group I cardiac arrest was induced with St Thomas Ⅱ solution after the heart was perfused with KHB for 30 min. In group 11 after being perfused with KHB for 15 min, the hearts were perfused with diazoxide 100?mol?L-1 for 5 min followed by 10 min wash-out with KHB , then cardiac arrest was induced as in group Ⅰ . In group Ⅲ after being perfused with KHB for 15 min, the hearts were perfused with diazoxide 100?mol?L-1 and 5-HD 100?mol?L-1 for 5 min, followed by 10 min wash-out with KHB, then the cardiac arrest was induced as in group Ⅰ and Ⅱ . All hearts were subjected to 30 min ischemia followed by 45 min reperfusion after cardiac arrest. Coronary flow (CF), HR, left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP) and dp / dt max were measured after the hearts were perfused with KHB for 15 min (baseline) and at 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 min after reperfusion was resumed. Coronary effluent was collected at 5 min after reperfusion was resumed for determination of myocardial enzymes, CK, LDH and AST. At the end of experiment myocardial specimen was obtained for determination of ATP content and ultrastructure examination. Results There was no significant difference in the baseline hemodynamic parameters among the three groups. The rates of recovery of LVDP and ? dp / dt max after reperfusion were significantly higher in group Ⅱ than those in group I and Ⅲ ( P 0.05 ) , Conclusion Diazoxide can protect myocardium from ischemia-reperfusion injury by opening the mitochondrial KATP channel in immature rabbits.
