OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of Shenmai injection in treating congestive heart failure (CHF). METHODS: 120 cases with CHF were randomly assigned to receive conventional therapy(control group) or conventional therapy plus Shenmai injection(treatment group). The therapeutic efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Objective To investigate the role of astrocyte in the lipopolysaccharide-induced damage of dopaminergic neurons. Methods After lipop01ysaccharide was applied to the third generation of rat astrocytes for 24 hours,supernatants of astrocytes culture were collected.The primary middle-brain dopaminergic neuron-enriched culture systems were obtained by neurobasal and ara-c,eoeulture system of both astrocytes and neurons was established by transwell inserts.The lipopolysaccharide was administered into neuron-enriched systems and coculture systems and the change of dopaminergic neurons was detected.At the same time,the supernatants of astrocytes were administered into the neuron-enriched systems,and the survival of dopaminergic neurons and the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase mRNA were observed. Results Lipopolysaccharide had a negative effect on the survival of dopaminergic neurons in a concentration-dependent manner.Both astrocytes and supernatants promoted the survival of dopaminergie neurons,and the former was better than the latter. In the preoccupation of existence of astrocytes,low-concentration lipopolysaccharide promoted the survival of dopaminergic neurons,while high-concentration,decreased.The change of the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase mRNA was similar to the survival of dopaminergic neurons.Conclusions Astrocytes play a protective role in the damage of dopaminergic neurons induced by lipopolysaccharide,and suitable activation of astrocytes would increase the protective effect while excessive activation of astroeytes would attenuate the effect.

Objective:To study the efficacy of minimally PCWO combined with Akin osteotomy on severe hallux valgus.Methods:This retrospective study was conducted on 45 patients (50 feet) with severe hallux valgus treated by minimally PCWO combined with Akin osteotomy in Eight Department of Bone, Foshan Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2016 to August 2018. HVA, IMA, DMAA, DASA, IPA were measured by X-ray examination preoperatively and after operative 3, 6, 12 months and at the final follow-up. The efficacy was evaluated in accordance with the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Association (AOFAS) Ankle Hindfoot Scale and the Olerud-Molander Ankle (OMA) Score. The absolute and relative lengths of the first metatarsus were measured by X-ray examination preoperatively and at the last follow-up, with calculating the differences.Result:All patients were followed up within 18.20±2.04 months. There was no recurrence during follow-up period. HVA was 42.83°±4.63°, 12.83°±1.53°, 13.49°±1.33°, 14.08°±1.49° and 14.12°±1.35° at the preoperative, postoperative 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and the last follow-up, respectively, and the difference between pre-operation and post-operation was statistically significant ( P<0.05). IMA was 18.29°±0.94°, 7.84°±1.22°, 8.31°±1.03°, 9.01°±1.08° and 9.09°±1.11° at the preoperative, postoperative 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and the last follow-up, respectively, and the difference between pre-operation and post-operation was statistically significant ( P<0.05). AOFAS scores were 50.64±7.94, 88.80±2.68, 90.10±3.51, 91.20±3.89 and 91.37±3.71 points at the preoperative, postoperative 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and the last follow-up, respectively, and the difference between pre-operation and post-operation was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The OMA scores were 61.00±7.00, 90.90±5.02, 91.60±4.57, 93.20±3.61 and 93.48±4.91 at preoperative, postoperative 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and the last follow-up, respectively, and the difference between pre-operation and post-operation was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The absolute shortening of the first metatarsal was 3.03 mm and relative shortening was 0.72 mm. Conclusion:For severe hallux valgus, minimally PCWO combined with Akin osteotomy can effectively correct the hallux valgus deformity with small surgical incision, high safety and curative effect, which is worthy of popularization and application in clinical.

Peritoneal dialysis is an important approach to the treatment of renal failure diseases such as acute renal failure, chronic renal failure and uremia. In this paper are presented the application of the multifunction squirm pump developed by authors, the use of PLC and single-chip to control harmonically, and the instituition of full automatic dialysis therapy. Man-machine interface with integrative touch liquid crystal display is adopted in the system, and Chinese interface is used to display and operate so that user can manipulate it in a guiding way. Hence, the whole process is simple and clear. At the same time, it is very easy to set dialysis parameters suited for medical treatment demands of all kinds of patients. Through squirm pump, electric valve, electronic weighing system and electrical heating system, the accurate control of input and output dialysis volumes, flow velocities, temperature, and other parameters are achieved and automatic alarm function is also implemented. Meanwhile, particular intelligent card system that can access automatically the user's treatment information is syncretized, which is convenient for doctor to make a diagnosis and give treatment or to carry out remote treatment. This system plays an important role in the improvement of peritoneal dialysis technique for renal failure treatment and clinical implementation.
