Rosai-Dorfman disease in nasal cavity and nasal sinuses is known as an idiopathic proliferative disease of histiocytes with a distinct morphologic feature and is very rare. It is easy to relapse and be misdiagnosed. In on case, the infiltrating histiocytes had large round or oval nuclei. The cytoplasm was abundant, granular or vacuolated and foamy. Immunohistochemical studies showed that the histiocytes were strongly reactive with antibodies against S100 and CD68. The diagnosis of extranodal RDD in the paranasal sinuses could be differentiated with rhinoscleroma, eosinophilic granuloma, plasmacytoma, or fibrous histiocytoma. It showed that the identification of the distinctive histiocytes which are typically immunoreactive to S100 and CD68 can be quite helpful for correct diagnosis.

Objective To explore the role of depression as a moderator of self-concept on self-care behaviors in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A sample of 160 in-patients with CHF were recruited from a cardiovascular hospital in Beijing.Data were collected by self-report questionnaires assessing self-care behaviors,self-concept and depression.Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) version 17.0 software was used to conduct the path analyses. Results Body sensation,self-consistency,self-ideal,moral-ethical-spiritual self and depression revealed direct effects on self-care behavior.Body sensation,self-ideal,moral-ethical-spiritual self affected self-care indirectly via depression. These paths' total coefficients were 0.09,0.15,0.31,0.09 and -0.26,respectively.Conclusion Self-care behaviors are directly affected by self-concept and depression.Depression has a greater moderating effect on these relationships. The findings provide a theoretical basis to direct the development of interventions for improving self-care in individuals with heart failure.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of using clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats ( CRISPR)-mediated genome editing to downregulate the expression of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on primary T cells by using a lentivirus delivery system. Methods Lentivirus vec-tors pLentiCRISPR A1-A6 containing different PD-1 genomic DNA sequences as single guide RNA ( sgRNA) for Cas9 targeting were constructed individually. The lentivirus vectors were tranduced into primary CD4 T cells. Flow cytometry analysis was performed to detect the expression of PD-1 for evaluating the knockout ef-ficiency. Results The lentivirus vectors pLentiCRISPR A1-A6 carrying six different target sites were con-structed and respectively tranduced into primary CD4 T cells. The expression of PD-1 accompanied with the activation of T cells. Co-expression of CD25 and PD-1 was observed on activated T cells. All of the six sites could be targeted by Cas9, of which A2 and A6 sites were more efficient in knocking out the gene encoding PD-1 with a rate of 19% and 29%, respectively. Conclusion This study suggests that it is feasible to knock out the expression of PD-1 on primary T cells by using CRISPR.

To investigate the application of a recently developed metallic oxide semiconductor field effect transistor(MOSFET)detector for use in vivo desimetry. Methods The MOSFET detector was calibrated for X-ray beams of 8 MV and 15 MV,as well as electron beams with energy of 6,8,12 and 18 MeV.The dose linearity of the MOSFET detector was investigated for the doses ranging from 0 up to 50 Gy using 8 MV X-ray beams.Angular effect was evaluated as well in a cylindrical PMMA phantom by changing the beam entrance angle every 15?clockwise.The MOSFET detector was then used for a breast cancer patient in vivo dose measurement, after the treatment plan was verified in a water phantom using a NE-2571 ion chamber,in vivo measurements were performed in the first and last treatment, and once per week during the whole treatment. The measured doses were then compared with planning dose to evaluate the accuracy of each treatment. Results The MOSFET detector represented a good energy response for X-ray beams of 8 MV and 15 MV,and for electron beams with energy of 6 MeV up to 18 MeV.With the 6 V bias,Dose linearity error of the MOSFET detector was within 3.0% up to approximately 50 Gy,which can be significantly reduced to 1% when the detector was calibrated before and after each measdurement. The MOSFET response varied within 1.5% for angles firm 270?to 90?.However,maximum error of 10.0% was recorded comparing MOSFET response between forward and backward direction. In vivo mea surement for a breast cancer patient using 3DCRT showed that, the average dose.deviation between measurement and calculation was 2.8%,and the maximum error was less then 5.0%.Conclusions The new MOSFET detector, with its advantages of being in size, easy use, good energy response and dose linearity, can be used for in vivo dose measurement.
