China Pharmacy 2007;0(30):-
OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard of Baji zhenyang tablets.METHODS:Panax ginseng,Herba Epimedii and Carthamus tinctorius in the tablets were identified by TLC,and the content of icariin in Herba Epimedii was determined by HPLC.RESULTS:The TLC spots of P.ginseng,Herba Epimedii and C.tinctorius were distinctive and well-separated.The linear range of icariin was 0.080 04~0.640 32 ?g(r=0.999 8).The average recovery was 101.29%(RSD=0.98%,n=6).CONCLUSION:The established standard is applicable for the quality control of Baji zhenyang tablets.

International Journal of Surgery 2011;38(4):270-274
Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) is one kind of common vascular disease. Inflammation and matrix degradation in the vasculature are crucial for AAA formation, key mechanism of which include vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC) senescence, oxidative stress, increased local production of proinflammatory cytokines, and increased activities of matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs). Cyp A, the member of cyclophilins, has a variety of physiological functions. It is highly expressed in VSMC, and plays an important role in the development of AAA, making it a new therapeutic target for such disease.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2021;43(5):440-445
Objective:Dysmenorrhea is the common gynecological problem among adolescent girls and women of reproductive age. This study aim to develop a dysmenorrhea Quality of Life (QoL) scale based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory. Methods:We conducted focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with TCM gynecologists and patients, and adapted items from previously published scales. We generated an initial pool of 41 items with 8 domains. Delphi method was used to item preliminary selection. Then, we administered the items to a sample of adolescent girls ( n=200), and the distribution of survey items, discrete trend, factor analysis, correlation coefficient, Cronbach’s α coefficient were used to select items. Results:After two rounds of Delphi, a total of thirty items were included in the dysmenorrhea QoL scale. The expert positive coefficient were 100% and 83.3% with high motivation. The authoritative coefficient were greater than 0.7, the results showing authoritative and reliable. The Kendall’s coefficient of concordance W was 0.333 ( χ2=128.271, P<0.001). In sample analysis, the items were deleted when they met more than two standards. The final scale retained 20 items, covering 8 dimensions. Conclusions:The methods for selection of dysmenorrhea QoL scale based on TCM theory were preferable. Given the paucity of research in this area, this new dysmenorrhea QoL scale may provide opportunities for the patient-reported outcome (PRO) evaluation in the field of TCM.

Objective To clarify the effects of Xinfukang containing-serum on stromal cell-derived factor-1α (SDF-1α) translation and protein secretion of bone marrow stem cells (BMSCs).Methods BMSCs were isolated and amplified using bone marrow culture method, and were identified by flow cytometry.mRNA and protein secretion of SDF-1α were detected by quantitative PCR (q-PCR) and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA),respectively. Results The expression of SDF-1α mRNA were significantly increased after 72 h in drug-containing serum, and SDF-1α mRNA in the experimental group was approximately 200 times as that in the control group (P<0.05).Secretion of SDF-1 α in the experimental group (277.561 1 ± 15.651 8) pg/ml was nearly doubled compared with that in the control group (153.107 1±14.765 1) pg/ml (P<0.05).Conclusions BMSCs from whole bone marrow adherent culture have high purity, and drug-containing serum can promote BMSCs to express SDF-1 α mRNA and secretion of SDF-1 α.

Objective To investigate the alterations and phenotypes of dendritic cells, inflamma-tory monocytes and macrophages in immunocompetent mice during Pneumocystis murina ( P.murina) infec-tion for further analysis of the function of these cells during P.murina infection. Methods Wild type male C57BL/6 mice at age 6-8 weeks were randomly divided into two groups including the group with P.murina infection and the group receiving sham surgery. The mice without any intervention were used to set up the blank control group. The loads of P.murina strains in lung tissues of each mouse were quantified by TaqMan real-time fluorescence polymerase chain reaction after the infection.Histopathological examination was per-formed to evaluate the degree of inflammation in lung tissues. The numbers of dendritic cells, inflammatory monocytes and macrophages in lung tissues, peripheral blood and bone marrow samples, and the changes of inflammatory monocytes in spleen tissues were measured by flow cytometry analysis. The expression of major histocompatability complexⅡ(MHCⅡ), CX3C chemokine receptor 1 (CX3CR1) and CC chemokine re-ceptor 2 ( CCR2 ) by dendritic cells, inflammatory monocytes and macrophages in lung tissues during P.murina infection were analyzed by flow cytometry analysis. All of the data were collected one, two, three and four weeks after the corresponding treatments. Results The loads of P.murina strains in P.murina in-fected mice were elevated after two and three weeks infection, but decline at week 4 (P>0.05).Significant pathological changes including the alveolar destruction, inflammatory cell infiltration and thickened alveolar septum in mice with P.murina infection were observed under a microscope at week 3 and week 4.Compared to the sham surgery treatment group, the number of CD11c+CD11b+dendritic cells were increased in lung tissues, but decreased in blood samples during P.murina infection ( P<0.05) .The levels of inflammatory monocytes in blood samples fell at week 3 and then rose at week 4 during P.murina infection (P<0.05). No significant difference with the change of macrophages in mice was observed during P.murina infection ( P>0.05).The CD11c+CD11b+dendritic cells in lung tissues of mice with P.murina infection expressed high levels of MHCⅡand CX3CR1, and low levels of CCR2.The inflammatory monocytes in lung tissues of mice expressed high levels of CCR2, moderate levels of MHCⅡand low levels of CX3CR1 during P.murina in-fection.High levels of CX3CR1 and low levels of MHCⅡ and CCR2 were observed in macrophages from lung tissues of mice with P.murina infection. Conclusion Highly expressed CD11c+CD11b+dendritic cells and MHCⅡwere detected in lung tissues of mice during P.murina infection, indicating that CD11c+CD11b+dendritic cells were involved in the host defense against P.murina infection.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2015;48(10):727-729
Objective To better characterize the clinical and histopathological manifestations, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of epithelioid sarcoma (ES).Methods Clinical data were collected from nine patients with ES diagnosed and treated at the Institute of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College from 2000 to 2014.The clinical and histopathological manifestations, immunophenotype, treatment and prognosis of ES were reviewed retrospectively. Results The median age at onset of ES was 34.5 years in these patients, and the average disease duration was 8.3 years.Lesions began on the extremities in 8 patients, and manifested as nodules, ulceration and lymphedema.Histopathological examination showed that tumor cells mainly consisted of spindle cells and epithelioid cells, some of which were in a palisade arrangement with central necrosis.Cytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) and vimentin were coexpressed by tumor cells.Recurrence was observed at the original site in 6 patients after lesion resection, and pulmonary metastasis occurred in 4 patients.Five patients were followed up and two of them died of pulmonary metastasis. Conclusions Local recurrence is frequent in patients with ES after lesion removal.Lymph node and pulmonary metastases of ES are common, and pulmonary metastasis is usually associated with a poor prognosis.
