1.Visual imaging of quantum dots for in vivo malignancy cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(1):24-27
Quantum dots (QD),a kind of nanocrystal, are made from Ⅱ-Ⅵ or Ⅲ-Ⅴ group elements. It has been reported that compared with current conventional fluorescent markers,QD have excellent optical properties such as strong fluorescence, photochemical stability and can be used for simultaneous multi-channel imaging.Meanwhile,as nanoparticle,QD can be easily surface modified with a variety of biological molecular and can reach cancer cells easily by penetrating the tumor angiogenesis. Therefore,QD have unique advantages in targeted real-time visual imaging of in vivo tumor and have great prospects in the individual diagnosis and treatment of tumor. However, the long-term biosafety after QD into the body still needs further study.

3.Correlation between sensitiviy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and multidrug-resistance in breast carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Current Advances in General Surgery 2004;0(05):-
Objective:To study the expressions of P-gp、GST-?、TopoⅡin breast carcinoma and the relationship between the drug resistance-associated proteins and the sensitivity of neoadjuvant chemotherapy of breast carcinoma. Methods:Eighty specimens of breast carcinoma were collected and the patients were classified randomly into group A and group B.Neoadjuvant chemotherapy(CEF)was used in group A,and we respectively measured maximum diameters of the tumors by B-ultrasound examination before and after the chemotherapy.we measured the expression of P-gp、GST-?、TopoⅡin 80 specimens by immunohistochemical technique(S-P).Results:The expression of P-gp increased significantly in group A compared with group B(P

Objective To identify age-related changes in emotional memory. Methods A neuropsychological battery was set to measure the education-matched 48 younger, 48 middle-aged and 48 normally aging adults who were given picture tasks. Results Compared with the younger [positive (67.02 ±9.70)%,neutral (60.83 ±9.18)%, negative(75.38 ±12.80)%] and middle-aged controls [positive (68.25 ±10.89),neutral (61.63 ±7.46)%, negative (72.19 ±11.34)%], the differences of the affective images recognition accuracy in the elderly [positive (61.10 ±10.06)%, neutral (49.77 ±8.35)%, negative (55.65 ±11.17)%] were statistically significant (F=6.70,F=30.17,F=38.72,P<0.05-0.01), older adults remembering positive image better than negative image (F=15.67,P<0.05).However, there was no significant difference in their rating of valence of the images. Conclusion Emotional memory is impaired in the healthy elderly people, and indicates that age-related changes in emotional memory indicates may have different neuromechanisms.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1998;0(S1):-
S100 proteins are a group of Ca2+ binding proteins. The main type of S100 proteins in nervous system (NS) is S1000B produced by astroglia cells and Schwann's cells. Recently, there are many researchs in the world which focuses on S100B biological activity and its mechanism, and these studies suggest that S100B plays a significant role inneuron development, neurite outgrowth and synaptic plasticity. We make a brief review in the field of S1000B biological property, distribution, biological activity and mechanism in NS. KEY WORDS S100 protein; neuron; glia; neu-rotrophic factor PKC; [Ca2+],;LTP

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(08):-
Objective To determine the level of defensins(HNP_(1-3))and interleukin-8(IL-8)in colon tissue of patients with ulcerative colitis(UC)and to explore the relationship between HNP_(1-3)and IL-8 and the severity of disease. Methods The level of HNP_(1-3)and IL-8 in colon mucosa of UC patients was detected by immunohistochemistry method. Results The levels of HNP_(1-3)and IL-8 in colon mucosa of UC patients were much higher than that of normal controls. The expression of HNP_(1-3)and IL 8 of UC patients was higher in involved mueosa than in corresponding normal mucosa. The expression of HNP_(1-3) and IL-8 was related to the extent of lesion and the degree of disease. The expression of HNP_(1-3)was significantly correlated with that of IL-8(r_s=0.957,P<0.01).Conclusions The induction of HNP_(1-3) and IL-8 was involved in process of inflammation and development of UC.Regulating mechanisms of HNP_(1-3)expression might be related with the induction of IL-8.

Objective To understand the e ffect of physical and intellectual development of children with intrauterine inf ection of Toxoplasma gondii. M ethods With matching method, 167 children born betw een 1990 and 1996 were selected, whose umbilical cord blood with antibodies of [WT5”BX ]Toxoplasma gondii as positive group, while 160 childr en whose umbilical cord blood without antibodies of Toxopla sma gondii were selected as the contrast. Their physical index a nd IQ were examined with routine method and Binei or WISP. The measurement numbe rs of nine cities of China were as the standard. The relationship between infect ion of Toxoplasma gondii and the intellectual a nd physical development was analyzed. Results I ntellectual development of children with intrauterine infection of [WT5” BX]Toxoplasma gondii[WT5”B Z] was obviously slow and their eyesights were poor. However, the infection of [ WT5”BX]Toxoplasma gondii had no effect on their height an d weight. Conclusion The children with intrauter ine infection of Toxoplasma gondii should be sy stematically treated after birth so as to lower the harm to the brains and eyes, raise their intellectual levels and improve their healthy development.
