1.Regulatory effect of γδT cells on the development of autoimmune uveitis
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(7):664-668
γδT cells account for approximately 1%-10% of T lymphocytes in peripheral blood, but they are more abundant in mucosal tissue.γδT cells can produce a diverse range of cytokines to exert cytotoxic effector function. In addition,γδT cells can act as antigen-presenting cell(APC) to enhance the activity of effector T cells and contribute to autoimmunity.Based on the recognized ligands and their common lack of major histocompatibility (MHC) restriction,γδT cells are considered as nontraditional T cells that link innate and adaptive immunity.Previous studies showed that γδT cells have dual function. They can help to strengthen an immune process, and they might also help to suppress immune response.Up to now, many researches have focused on how γδT cells to impact and regulate the experimental autoimmune uveitis by the interaction between γδT cells with αβT cells,interleukine-17 (IL-17),regulatory T cell (Treg),dendritic cell(DC) and toll-like receptor(TLR).In uveitis,a further understanding of the plasticity of γδT cells is required to specifically identify strategies for intentional modulation of their beneficial or detrimental regulatory activity. Here, the basic biological characteristics and the current knowledge on the regulation mechanism of γδT cells in uveitis disease were reviewed.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(11):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL)in the lateral position. Methods A total of 48 patients with staghorn(12 cases,2.2 to 5.8 cm in diameter)or multiple renal calculi(31)or upper ureteral stones(5)were treated with MPCNL in our hospital between July 2004 to October 2007.The patients were placed in a lateral position with the head 10? lower and the feet 20? lower. The puncture was made under the guidance of X-ray or ultrasonography, and then Holmium laser or EMS lithotripter was used for stone fragmentation. The stone debris was removed by irrigation. Results The procedure was completed in all of the 48 patients except one,who was converted to a supine position because of the difficulty in puncture.Among the 47 cases,41 were cured with the first operation, the other 6 received catheterization in the first procedure, and then underwent calculi removal in a second-stage operation.None of the patients were converted to open surgery. The mean operation time in this series was(137.5?39.6)min.The one-stage cure rate in our patients was 82.9%(34/41).None of the cases had massive blood loss,or injuries to the pleura and other organs.Follow-up was available in 21 cases for 1 to 3 months.During the period, among the 17 patients who had hydronephrosis,11 were cured and 6 were improved;and among the 4 who had residual stones,1 received ESWL in 1 months after the first operation and was cured afterwards;the other 3 were treated by traditional Chinese medicine,2 of them were cured. Conclusions The MPCNL performed on the patients in the lateral position is an effective alternative for renal calculi, and favorable to intra-operative anesthesia monitor.
10.Circumferential pulmonary vein isolation guided by Carto-Merge and Lasso catheters for the treatment of atrial fibrillation
Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1996;0(04):-
Objective To study the effect of circumferential pulmonary vein isolation(CPVI) guided by Carto-Merge and Lasso catheter for the treatment of atrial fibrillation(AF).Methods Fifty-six drug refractory patients(41 male) with paroxysmal AF were enrolled into this study with a mean age of(58.5?12.7) years.Ostia of pulmonary veins(PVs) were identified by Carto-Merge.Then circumferential pulmonary vein isolation was performed. The endpoint of ablation was abolishment or dissociation of the pulmonary vein potentials(PVPs).Results Mean distance between electroanatomic mapping points and MRI surfaces was(1.79?0.33) mm as a whole in this group.Abolishment or dissociation of PVPs was accomplished in 52 patients(92.9%) during the first procedure. After a mean(18.3?5.7) months of follow up,41 patients(73.2%) maintained sinus rhythm.Ten patients received a second ablation procedure, and 8 were free of atrial tachyarrhythmias after a mean(8.2?6.9) months of the second follow up.No PV stenosis was identified after ablation procedure. Conclusion Combination of Lasso catheters with Carto-Merge to guide the CPVI procedure can confirm the isolation of PVs and lower the incidence of PVs stenosis.
