Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(22):-
[Objective]To investigate the effect of surgical treatment of scapular fractures through posterior approach.[Method]From May 2000 to November 2007,14 patients(10 females,4 males;mean age 34.6 years)with scapular fractures were treated by open reduction and internal fixation through a posterior approach.Eight patients were injurred in traffic accidents,3 due to falling,2 by direct violence and 1 due to cut. There were eleven patients with close fractures and 3 with open fractures.According to Hardegger classification system, there were 8 cases of scapular body fracture,9 of scapular spine fracture,6 of scapular acromion,10 of scapular neck fracture,6 of glenoid rim fracture and 4 of glenoid fossa fracture.[Result]Fourteen patients were followed up,with a mean follow up time of 18 months.According to Rowe score system,10 patients showed an excellent result,2 showed a good result, the other two showed a fair result.[Conclusion]The posterior approach for fixing scapular fractures has advantages of wide exposure, safety, easy operation, and reliable effect. It is a choice of operation for most types of scapular fractures, especially for scapular body fracture, spina scapular fracture and scapular multiposition fracture.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1989;0(S1):-
Gossypol has been shown to cause a side effect hypokalemia. This study was designed to evalulated the possible role of gossypol in relation to renal potassium loss by using histochemical method for comparative analysis of gossypol and gentamicin, a well known tubulo-toxic agent, as positive control with respect to nephrotoxic demage in rats and guinea pigs. The results indicated that gossypol had obvious effect on reabsorption function by inducing transitional decrease of membrane enzymes activities of renal tubular cells but had no effect as comparable with gentamicin to cause structureal damage of tubular cells.

National Journal of Andrology 2016;22(2):175-179
The G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER), also known as G protein-coupled receptor 30 (GPR30), was identified in the recent years as a functional membrane receptor different from the classical nuclear estrogen receptors. This receptor is widely expressed in the cortex, cerebellum, hippocampus, heart, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, and the urogenital system. It is responsible for the mediation of nongenomic effects associated with estrogen and its derivatives, participating in the physiological activities of the body. The present study reviews the molecular structure, subcellular localization, signaling pathways, distribution, and function of GPER in the male reproductive system.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficacy and safety of combination therapy of tamsulosin and solifenacin for benign prostatic hyperplasia ( BPH ) with overactive bladder ( OAB ).Methods82 patients with OAB and coexisting BPH were randomly divided into tamsulosin group ( n = 38 ) and combination group ( n = 44). The ages were from 50 to 75 y ( averaged, 56.8 ± 8.6). Inclusion criteria: the mean frequency of micturition ≥8 times per day, the frequency of nocturia ≥2 times per day, voiding volume <200 ml each time; for the overactive bladder symptom score ( OA BSS), the 3 rd score > 2, total score > 3. The tamsulosin group accepted tamsulosin 0.2 mg once daily, the combination group accepted tansulouxin 0.2 mg and solifenacin 0.2 mg once daily. Both groups were maintained the corresponding therapy for 12 weeks. The international prostate symptom score (IPSS), Qmax, residual urine volume, OAB score and adverse reactions were recorded.ResultsThe values of IPSS ( 19.5 ±2.2 vs 15.6 ±2.4, P =0.027), the voiding symptom score ( 15.6 ± 2.4 vs 3.4 ± 1. 7, P = 0. 022) and Qmax ( 13.7 ± 3.8 vs 16.6 ± 4.1, P = 0. 034 )improved significantly after treatment in tamsulosin group ( P < 0. 05 ). The values of IPSS ( 19.7 ± 2.3 vs 9.7 ± 3.0, P <0. 001), the storage symptom score (13.8 ± 1.9 vs 5.6 ± 1.6, P <0. 001 ), OABSS (10.3 ±1.8 vs 5.3 ±1.3, P <0.001) and Qmax(14.1 ±4.1 vs 17.2 ±3.5, P=0.027) also improved significantly after treatment in combination group ( P < 0. 05 ). The values of IPSS ( 9.7 ± 3.0 vs 15.6 ±2.4, P < 0.001 ), the storage symptom score (5.6 ± 1.6 vs 12.0 ± 1.6, P < 0.001 ) and OABSS ( 5.3 ±1.3 vs 9.7 ± 2.7, P < 0. 001 ) improved significantly in combination group than those in tamsulosin group ( P <0.001 ). There were no difference between two groups in values of the voiding symptom score, Qmax and residual urine volume ( P > 0.05 ). The incidences of adverse reactions in tamsulosin group and combination group were 7.9% (3/38) and 20.5% (9/44) without significant difference. There was no acute urinary retention in both groups.ConclusionsIt is effective and safe for patients with BPH and OAB to accept combination therapy of tamsulosin and solifenacin.

Objective To investigate the expressions of cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in hepatocellular carcinomas and their clinical significance. Methods The expressions of CIP2A and VEGF proteins were tested with immunohistochemistry in 60 cases of hepatocellular carcinomas and adjacent paracancerous tissues. Results The positive rate of CIP2A in hepatocellular carcinomas was significantly higher than adjacent paracancerous tissues (83.3% vs 9.5%,P < 0.05).Significant differences were also observed in the expression rate of VEGF between the patients with hepatocellular carcinomas and paracancerous tissues (75.0% vs 14.3%,P <0.05).The expression of CIP2A in hepatocellular carcinomas was significantly positively correlated with its pathological grading, differentiation, and tumor node metastasis (TNM) stage (P < 0.05).The expression of VEGF in hepatocellular carcinomas was significantly positively correlated with its pathological grading, differentiation, and TNM stage (P < 0.05).Significantly positive correlation was found between expressions of CIP2A and VEGF with Spearman correlation analysis (rs =0.465,P < 0.01).Conclusions The abnormal expressions of CIP2A and VEGF gene may promote tumor angiogenesis and progression of a hepatocellular carcinoma. The study supports positive regulation between expressions of CIP2A and VEGF in a hepatocellular carcinoma.

The expression and possible role of integrin-focal adhesion kinase signal pathway in invasive pituitary adenomas were explored. Forty-nine human pituitary adenomas were detected for the expression of integrinbeta1 (INTbeta1) and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) by immunohistochemistry, and their correlation with the invasiveness of pituitary adenomas as well as between themselves was analyzed. The results showed that INTbeta1 was expressed in 46 cases (93.9%) and FAK in 36 cases (73.5%), respectively, and their expression levels were highly correlated with tumor invasiveness, but not with the tumor types. It was suggested that the integrin-focal adhesion kinase signal pathway plays a role in the invasiveness of pituitary adenomas.
