1.Expression of p16 in cholangiocarcinoma-related diseases
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2010;16(11):895-896
The mutations and deletions of the MTS1/p16 gene are widespread in a variety of human tumor tissues. It has been shown that p16 plays an important role in the formation and development of cholangiocarcinoma as research on cholangiocarcinoma has progressed over the years, and it is thought that the abnormal expression of p16 in highly involved in cholangiocarcinoma-related diseases. All these findings indicate that p16 is closely related to cholangiocarcinoma.Early diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma is still poor, so p16 may be a qualitative and quantitative tumor marker of high diagnostic value and may provide an opportunity for some new therapeutic methods such as targeted therapy. It can achieve the purpose of early diagnosis and early treatment to enhance the survival rate of patients.

Objective To investigate the possibility of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) on porcelain gallbladder. Methods Twenty-four cases of porcelain gallbladder, who were operated in China Medical University, including 13 LC cases, from 2006 to 2008 were retrospectively reviewed. Results Of 24 porcelain gallbladder cases(0.48%) in 4964 cholecystectomy patients, calcification of gallbladder in 87.50%(21/24) patients was diagnosed by ultrasonography.Of 13 patients who were cured by LC,one suffered from postoperative leak bile,no metastasis were found by following up 12 or 14 months in two gallbladder carcinoma cases. Conclusion There's specificity of ultrasonographic image in porcelain gallbladder,in which LC is safe to be performed and routine frozen pathology during operation is necessary.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of splanchnicectomy for pain palliation with advanced pancreatic carcinoma. Methods Altogether 27 cases were treated from January 2005 to February 2008,retrospective study was used to analyze the clinical data of them. All the patients had diverse extent pain, among these 16 cases who had underwent splanchnicectomy (therapy group),others were in control group. Results Pain extent was scored according to visual analogue scale (VAS),preoperative score of therapy group (6.06±1.93) scores, postoperative score 3 months(2.67±1.68) scores,6 months(2.69±1.75) scores, the discrepancy had statistical significance (P<0.01),preoperative score of control group (5.91±1.87) scores, postoperative score 3 months(5.11±2.03) scores,6 months(5.33±2.25) scores, the discrepancy had no statistical significance.Intergroups contrast, showing significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion For the patients who request to deal with primary disease, splanchnicectomy is manipulated easy, short of complication, significantly relief of pain, and deserve to be spreaded.

Objective To detect the expression of VIP1R and VIP2R mRNA in gallbladder tissues of patients with gallbladder diseases. Methods The expression of VIP1R and VIP2R mRNA in gallbladder tissues were detected in 25 patients with gallstone, 8 patients with gallbladder polyps and 7 control liver transplantation donors by RT-PCR. Results The VIP2R mRNA level of the control group (1. 09 ?0. 58 ) was lower than that of the gallbladder polyps group (1.64?0.56 ),P

【Objective】 To detect the anti-SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibody levels in convalescent plasma (CP) and to evaluate whether it has specific anti-SARS-CoV-2 S antigen effect, so as to provide laboratory data support for clinical use of CP. 【Methods】 Nine CP donors who have recovered from COVID-19 were studied, and 4 volunteers who completed the vaccination and 3 asymptomatic infected blood donors were compared. Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies including total antibody, IgM and IgG were measured by chemiluminescence microparticle immunoassays (CMIA) test in three groups. The VSV pseudovirus-based neutralization assay for evaluating neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 was carried out in all samples. 【Results】 All samples were tested positive by the total antibody and IgG CMIA in COVID-19 CP donors and recipients of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine. High titers of IgG were observed in CP donors and vaccine recipients compared with asymptomatic blood donors. All vaccine recipients and 8 of 9 CP donors tested positive by SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus-based neutralization test, whereas all asymptomatic blood donors tested negative. 【Conclusion】 The levels and characteristics of neutralizing antibodies among COVID-19 CP donors, vaccine recipients and asymptomatic blood donors were different. When unable to implement the pseudovirus assay to measure neutralizing antibodies, the detection of total antibody can be considered instead.
