1.The concept, clinical design and transfer application of target restoration space.
West China Journal of Stomatology 2015;33(2):111-114
The target restoration space (TRS) is a required tooth space that should be occupied by an esthetically formed and optimally functioned crown, veneer, or other fixed restoration. It can be either internal of or external of a tooth. Since minimal invasive can't be achieved without a minimal TRS, a precise preparation of slightest damage should conform to the transfer guide based on TRS. This paper introduces the concept, design of TRS, explains how it can be applied in tooth preparation, and helps to better understand a precise and minimal invasive tooth preparation technique.

Objective To explore and analyze the curative effect of capecitabine in the treatment of advanced breast cancer and its influcing factors. Methods 100 cases of advanced breast cancer were selected, all patients were treated with combined or individual therapy, one period was 21-28 days, and the course of treatment was more than two cycles. Before and after treatment, the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECGO) score, receptor status, chemotherapy cycles, tumor metastasis and other factors of the data were collected and recorded. Results The short-term efficacy of the patients was: stable disease (SD) 39 cases, progressive disease (PD) 8 cases, complete remission (CR) 1 cases, partial remission (PR) 52 cases. 53.0%(53/100) for objective response rate (ORR), 92.0%(92/100) for disease control rate (DCR). All patients who received treatment from the end of the follow-up period were: 1 to 24 months, the median survival period was 6.5 months. The independent influencing factors of progress free survival (PFS) were the number of cycles of combination chemotherapy (P<0.05). During chemotherapy, the adverse reactions of patients was not much, respectively: 4 cases of hand foot syndrome, 2 cases of grade Ⅰ, 1 case of grade Ⅱ, 1 case of grade Ⅲ; 7 cases of gastrointestinal reaction, 4 cases of grade Ⅰ, 3 cases of grade Ⅱ; 3 cases of hematologic toxicity, 1 case of grade Ⅰ, 2 cases of grade Ⅱ. The lower ECGO score, ≥4 times of cycles of treatment, ER/PR+ improved the short-term efficacy(P<0.05), while the tumor metastasis and HER-2 receptor could not effect the short-term efficacy. Conclusion The short-term efficacy of capecitabine is related to ECGO score, receptor status and chemotherapy cycles, while has no relation with tumor metastasis and HER-2 receptor.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
Objective: To investigate the effect of vitamin B12 on the growth and hemopoiesis of broilers. Methods: The Arbor Acres broilers were fed the experimental diets with different doses of vitamin B12 0.00, 0.008, 0.016, 0.024 mg/kg for 3 weeks. The body weight gain and hematologic indices of the broilers were measured. Results: Vitamin B12 deficiency in the diet could depress the body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the broilers, decrease the amount of red blood cell and hemoglobin, enlarge the volume of red blood cell, increase the content of each cell hemoglobin, reduce platelet in blood. While 0.008 mg/kg vitamin B12 was added in the experimental diets, the body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the broilers increased markedly. Furthermore, when 0.016mg/kg vitamin B12 was added to the diet, the number of the red blood cell and the content of hemoglobin of the broilers increased significantly, and the shape and volume of the red blood cell became ordinary. There were significants interrelations between BWG,RBC,Hb,PCV,PLT,MCV,MCH of the broilers and the addition of vitamin B12 in the diet. Conclusion: Vitamin B12 deficiency could result in the megaloblastic animia. 0.02-0.03 mg vitamin B12 per kilo diet was required to maintain the growth and normal hemopoiesis of the broilers.

Objective To analyze the causes of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) relat-ed infections, study the types of pathogens and their drug sensitivities in order to supply evidence for clini-cal medication. Methods 110 cancer patients were analyzed for PICC related infections and blood sam-pies underwent bacterial culture. Results Of 110 cases of cancer patients, catheter-related infections were found in 11 patients (10.00%), including 9 cases of local infection (8.18%), and 2 cases of hemato-ge-nous infection (1.82%). Catheter-related infections were not associated with gender, age, types of catheter, venous selection, and the inserted length of intravenous catheter. Catheter- related infections were likely to be associated with the indwelling time of catheters. Conclusions To avoid the infections related to long-term PICC, strict aseptic operation and standardized maintaining procedures are required.
