Before and after zinc and micro-nutrients supplement the changes of intelligence and growth in 108 healthy children aged 7～8yrs were studied.The children were randomly divided into 3 groups:zinc supplement(Z),zinc+micronutrients supplement(Z+M),and micronutrients supplement(M),Before the supplements,hair Zn contemt of children was 2 28?0 74?mol/g and 22 22% of the hair Zn content was lower than 1 68?mol/g?There was a positive correlation between intelligence quotient(IQ) and hair Zn content .After supplement,there were no significant changes among the 3 groups on hair Zn content .The changes of IQ and cognition in Z+M group and M group were significantly higher than Z group,and there was no significant difference between Z+M group and M group.The change of knee height in Z+M group was markedly higher than M group and Z group,while M group was sgnificantly higher than Z group.The results demonstrated that zinc deficiency might not be the main factor that affects the intelligence and growth children,perhaps other micronutrients deficiency should be paid more attention.The simultaneous supplement of zinc and micronutrients may promote the intelligence and growth of children.

Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a kind of highly aggressive lymphoma which contains a collection of subgroups. The patients with PTCL have poor prognosis under current chemotherapy regimens, so the treatment of PTCL remains a big challenge. Brentuximab vedotin combined with CHP regimen, pralatrexate in combination with romidepsin and other regimens have set up more options for patients with PTCL. Novel agents, such as PI3K inhibitors, which entered into clinical trials, bring good news to PTCL patients.

Objective To investigate the improving effect of Hedysari radix polysaccharide on the behavior and its influence on cerebral central neurotransmitters in senescence accelerated mouse prone 8 (SAMP 8).Methods The senescence accelerated mice 8 were randomly divided into a model group,a Hedysari radix polysaccharide (HRP) group and a aricept group.SAMRl were served as the control group.After intragastrical treatment for 3 months,the behavior changes and the levels of norepinephrine (NE),dopamine (DA),5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) were observed respectively by applying Morris water maze and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Results In the SAMP8 model group,the hidden platform test showed that the latency to find the hidden platform was remarkably prolonged,the latency range from third day to fifth day was (55.31 ±9.62) s,(58.67± 10.89) s,(58.45± 10.53) s,respectively.The level ofNE、DA、5-HT and 5-HIAA was (4.97± 1.74) mmol/L,(1.63±0.57)mmol/L,(4.29±0.94)mmol/L,(2.91±0.85)mmol/L respectively,significantly reduced (P＜0.01).Compared with model group,the latency of hidden platform test was (44.73 ± 9.83) s,(40.53±8.37)s,(44.75±9.16)s respectively,which were remarkably shortened.The expression level ofNE,DA,5-HT and 5-HIAA in the HRP treatment group was (7.58± 1.62) mmol/L,(3.25 ±0.70) mmol/L,(7.04±0.95) mmol/L,(4.62±0.79) mmol/L respectively,which obviously increased (P＜ 0.05).Conclusion HRP could improve learning and memory ability of SAMP8 and the effect may related to up-regulate the expression level of cerebral Central neurotransmitters.

Objective To optimize systems of pig embryo in vitro production. Methods Pig oocytes were matured and fertilized in vitro in different culture mediums. Maturation rate and cleavage rate were analyzed. Results Gonadotropin induced maturation of pig oocytes in vitro , and improved the frequence of oocytes developed into M Ⅱ. The highest maturation and cleavage rates, present in medium with 15 IU/ml FSH+30 IU/ml LH, were 62% and 15% respectively. There was no difference in maturation rates in M199 and NCSU 23(48.2% vs 56.9%). However, difference in cleavage rate was observed in these two mediums(15.7% vs 36%, P

Objective To explore the influence of Hedysari radix concentrations fluid (HRCF) on learning and memory and its effect on cerebral monoamine neurotransmitters in senescence accelerated mice. Methods The senescence accelerated mice were randomly divided into the senescence accelerated mouse/resistance 1 (SAMR1) control group, senescence accelerated mouse/prone-8 (SAMP8) model group, HRCF treatment group and aricept treatment group. After 3 months of intragastrical treatment, the learning and memory ability changes and content of norepinephrine, dopamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid were detected respectively using Morris water maze and high performance liquid chromatography. Results In the model group, the hidden platform test indicated that the latency to find the hidden platform was remarkably prolonged, and the content of norepinephrine, dopamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine as well as 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid were significantly reduced (P<0.01). Objective To find a new indicator monitoring severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) by analyzing expression of lymphocytes and its subsets in SARS. Method Flow cytometer and hematology analyzer were used to detect the expression of lymphocytes and its subsets in 38 patients of SARS. Results Decreasing lymphocytes were found in 84 percent of the patients. The absolute value of lymphocyte subsets (T/B cell, NK cell) also decreased in a certain degree. Patients with decreasing T cell were mostly observed (95%). T helper/inducer (T 4)cells showed a higher rate of decreasing (100%) than T suppressor/killer (T 8)cells (87%). Based on the distribution of lymphocytes and its subsets, T cells demonstrated the greatest rate of decreasing (58%). Most patients had a relative normal B cells and NK cells with a rate of decreasing as little as 2.6% and 5.3%, respectively, more patients showed a decreasing T 4 cells (82%) than that of T 8 cells (34%). Forty-four percent of patients demonstrated a low ratio of T 4 to T 8. Conclusion The lymphocytes and its subsets were impaired in SARS, especially for T lymphocytes, T 4 cells were more seriously damaged than T 8 cells. The absolute counts of lymphocyte subsets showed more significant change of immune cells than relative counts of that in SARS.

Objective To study the clinical features of follicular occlusion triad, and whether it is a hereditary disease. Methods Based on the clinical examination of a case who developed squamous cell carcinoma secondary to follicular occlusion triad, the pedigree of the patient was surveyed and analyzed. Results There were a total of thirteen patients in this pedigree, the age of onset was about 20 years old. The clinical features and laboratory examination of the proband was consistent with follicular occlusion triad. Conclusions Hereditary factor is important in the pathogenesis in follicular occlusion triad,and the disease maybe an autosomal dominant inherited disease.

Objective: To investigate the effect of vitamin B12 on the growth and hemopoiesis of broilers. Methods: The Arbor Acres broilers were fed the experimental diets with different doses of vitamin B12 0.00, 0.008, 0.016, 0.024 mg/kg for 3 weeks. The body weight gain and hematologic indices of the broilers were measured. Results: Vitamin B12 deficiency in the diet could depress the body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the broilers, decrease the amount of red blood cell and hemoglobin, enlarge the volume of red blood cell, increase the content of each cell hemoglobin, reduce platelet in blood. While 0.008 mg/kg vitamin B12 was added in the experimental diets, the body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the broilers increased markedly. Furthermore, when 0.016mg/kg vitamin B12 was added to the diet, the number of the red blood cell and the content of hemoglobin of the broilers increased significantly, and the shape and volume of the red blood cell became ordinary. There were significants interrelations between BWG,RBC,Hb,PCV,PLT,MCV,MCH of the broilers and the addition of vitamin B12 in the diet. Conclusion: Vitamin B12 deficiency could result in the megaloblastic animia. 0.02-0.03 mg vitamin B12 per kilo diet was required to maintain the growth and normal hemopoiesis of the broilers.

Cystic liver metastasis, which lacks specific clinical manifestations and standardized treatment, rarely occurs after radical gastrectomy. This study presented two gastric cancer cases with cystic liver metastasis treated in Wuxi People's Hospital from September 2008 to November 2012. The two female patients were 66 and 65 years old, respectively. Poorly differentiated ulcerated adenocarcinoma classified as stage III B [Tumor, Node, and Metastasis Classification (T4aN2M0)] and clinical manifestations of abdominal distension and ascites were detected in both patients. Cyst fluids were subjected to cytological analysis. Results confirmed the presence of liver metastasis of gastric cancer. The two patients benefited from local intracavitary chemotherapy or systemic intravenous chemotherapy.

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of adiponectin(Adip) and the it's receptor 1, 2( AdipoR1, AdipoR2) in the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease ( ALD). Methods Fifty male Wistar rats were acclimatized for 7 days and then 10 rats were randomly assigned to be control. Others were to develop the rats mod-el of ALD by intragastric alcohol of increasing concentration and volume gradually [30% ～ 60%, 5 ～9 g/(kg · d)] , 8, 8, 8 and 9 rats were sacrificed randomly at the end of 4th, 8th, 12th and 16th week, liver samples and liver homogenate (10% ) were collected respectively. The concentration of triglyceride (TG) in the liver homogenate and the level of adiponectin and tumor necrosis alpha (TNFα) in the serum were measured by bi-ochemical chromatometry and ELISA method respectively. The mRNA and protein expression of Adip, AdipoRl and AdipoR2 in the hepatic tissue were performed by reverse transcription polymerase (RT-PCR) and Western blot. Results The model of rats alchoholic liver disease was developed. With the progress of ALD,the level of TG and TNFα in serum increased and the contention of Adip decreased gradually. The expression of Adip and AdipoR2 mRNA and protein decreased and no significant change was found in the AdipoRl. There is a negative correlationbetween the expression of serum Adip and AdipoR2 in hepatic tissue and the level of serum TNF-α and TG in the liver homogenate. ( r =-0. 98 ～-0. 90, P < 0. 01 ). The expression level of Adip protein was positively correlated with the contents of Adip in the serum ( r = 0. 90, P < 0. 01 ). Conclusion There is a close correlation between the decreased expression of Adip and AdipoR2 and adipose degenaration and inflammation in hepatic tissue.
