Objective To investigate the effects and mechanism of carbon dioxide (CO_ 2 ) pneumoperitoneum on the adhesive, migratory and invasive abilities of ovarian carcinoma cell line SKOV_ 3 . Methods SKOV_ 3 cells were exposed to an CO_ 2 insufflation medium. The cells′ adhesive ability to Matrigel was analyzed by MTT assayand, and their migratory and invasive abilities were analyzed through Boyden filters metastasis model. CD44 and bFGF expressions were examined by immunohistochemistry and semi-quantitative RT-PCR. Results Cells exposed to an in vitro pneumoperitoneum demonstrate could significantly increase adhesive, migratory and invasive abilities compared to the control group (P

Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2013;(14):859-861
Cystic liver metastasis, which lacks specific clinical manifestations and standardized treatment, rarely occurs after radical gastrectomy. This study presented two gastric cancer cases with cystic liver metastasis treated in Wuxi People's Hospital from September 2008 to November 2012. The two female patients were 66 and 65 years old, respectively. Poorly differentiated ulcerated adenocarcinoma classified as stage III B [Tumor, Node, and Metastasis Classification (T4aN2M0)] and clinical manifestations of abdominal distension and ascites were detected in both patients. Cyst fluids were subjected to cytological analysis. Results confirmed the presence of liver metastasis of gastric cancer. The two patients benefited from local intracavitary chemotherapy or systemic intravenous chemotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2013;(5):493-495
Teaching in the course of anesthesiology for college students not majoring in anesthesiology was reformed and optimized by inducing various approaches such as development of interest, heuristic teaching, multimedia teaching, clinical simulation teaching and anesthesia experience in the First Affiliated Hospital,Sun Yat-sen University.Students' fundamental knowledge of clinical anesthesiology and abilities of clinical thinking and active learning were improved.Based on the summary of teaching practice, teachers should cultivate students' interest in anesthesiology, emphasize interactive teaching and learning and take fundamental knowledge of clinical anesthesiology as main teaching objectives in the clinical practice course of anesthesiology.

Objective To explore the value of Ligasure vessel sealing system(LVSS)during resection of retroperitoneal tumor. Methods Group 1 including 32 cases were performed resection of retroperitoneal tumor with LVSS and electrosurgical seapel from Jun.2004 to Oct.2008.group 2 including 26 cases were done with electrosurgieal seapel from Jan.2001 to Jun.2004.Operating blood loss, operating time, iatrogenic injury, postoperative blood loss and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in hospital stay[(11.7±0.7)d vs.(12.3±1.4)d)]and iatrogenic injury(9.38%vs.16.00%)between two groups statistically(P>0.05),but the intraoperative blood lose[(403.1±37.1)ml vs.(704.0±129.0)m1)s,postoperative blood loss[(131.5±18.4)ml vs.(214.8±29.2)ml)]and operating time[(166.5±8.9)min vs.(186.8±15.4)min]were less in group 1 than that in group 2(P<0.05).Conclusion Ligasure vessel sealing system has advantages of safe coagulation, shortening operation time in resection of retroperitoneal tumor.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 1995;0(03):-
Objective To study the clinical features of follicular occlusion triad, and whether it is a hereditary disease. Methods Based on the clinical examination of a case who developed squamous cell carcinoma secondary to follicular occlusion triad, the pedigree of the patient was surveyed and analyzed. Results There were a total of thirteen patients in this pedigree, the age of onset was about 20 years old. The clinical features and laboratory examination of the proband was consistent with follicular occlusion triad. Conclusions Hereditary factor is important in the pathogenesis in follicular occlusion triad, and the disease maybe an autosomal dominant inherited disease.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
Objective: To investigate the effect of vitamin B12 on the growth and hemopoiesis of broilers. Methods: The Arbor Acres broilers were fed the experimental diets with different doses of vitamin B12 0.00, 0.008, 0.016, 0.024 mg/kg for 3 weeks. The body weight gain and hematologic indices of the broilers were measured. Results: Vitamin B12 deficiency in the diet could depress the body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the broilers, decrease the amount of red blood cell and hemoglobin, enlarge the volume of red blood cell, increase the content of each cell hemoglobin, reduce platelet in blood. While 0.008 mg/kg vitamin B12 was added in the experimental diets, the body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of the broilers increased markedly. Furthermore, when 0.016mg/kg vitamin B12 was added to the diet, the number of the red blood cell and the content of hemoglobin of the broilers increased significantly, and the shape and volume of the red blood cell became ordinary. There were significants interrelations between BWG,RBC,Hb,PCV,PLT,MCV,MCH of the broilers and the addition of vitamin B12 in the diet. Conclusion: Vitamin B12 deficiency could result in the megaloblastic animia. 0.02-0.03 mg vitamin B12 per kilo diet was required to maintain the growth and normal hemopoiesis of the broilers.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(05):-
Object Four regenerated somatic cell hybrids between carrot and Bupleurum scorzonerifolium Willd. proved by chromosome analysis were analyzed at the molecular level. Methods RAPD analysis and 5S rDNA spacer sequence were adopted. Results In the electrophoresis pattern of the PCR products the four somatic cell hybrids had the characteristic bands of two parents and new bands. Conclusion Their hybrid nature was clarified at molecular level. This provides a firm foundation to further analyze the main active components, saikosaponin of somatic cell hybrids, and screen out efficacious hybrid cell lines.

AIM: The purpose is to study the stability of ferulic acid and develop a method for determining the content of ferulic acid in angelica sinensis by HPLC. METHODS: The solvent of reference ferulic acid was HCOOH H 2O(5∶95), but the solvent of the sample was HCCOH CH 3OH(5∶95). The separation was performed on Shimpack CLC -ODS column with acetonitrile (containing 0.2% methanol) 0.1% triethylamine (containing 0.1% phosphate)(20∶80) as mobile phase. Ferulic acid was detected at 324nm with flowing rate as 1.0mL?min -1 . RESULTS: The calibration curve was linear ( r =0.9998) in the range of 0.704 17.6 ?g?mL -1 for ferulic acid. The average recovery was 99.33% and RSD 0.60%, respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is quick and convenient for determination of ferulic acid.
