1.Prevalence and Analyses of the Changing Etiology of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease in China.
Chinese Journal of Virology 2015;31(5):554-559
Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a viral infectious disease regarded to be a public-health problem worldwide. Since the 1990s, HFMD began to spread in the Asia-Pacific region (especially in South-East Asia). HFMD outbreaks have occurred in mainland China frequently since 2008, and the morbidity and mortality of HFMD has continued to increase in recent years. In mainland China, enterovirus A serotype enterovirus A71 (EV-A71) and coxsackievirus A16 (CVA16) have been the major pathogens of HFMD during these years. However, the etiological spectrum of HFMD changes with time. This review focuses mainly on the etiological spectrum of HFMD and changes in epidemic patterns in mainland China.

2.Mental Health Status of the First-degree Relatives of Heroin Dependent Patients
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 2001;9(2):148,152-
Objective:To explore the mental health status of the first-degree relatives of the heroin addicts. Methods: Three hundred twenty first-degree relatives of the heroin addicts were evaluated with SCL-90. Results: The scores of somatization, depression, anxiety, paranoia, and psychiatric factor among the first-degree relatives were significantly higher than the national norm. The first-degree relatives of heroin addicts who had addicted more than 5 years had significantly higher score than the relatives of heroin addicts who had addicts less than 5 years. Conclusion: The mental health condition of the first-degree relatives of heroin addicts was poor, especially those relatives of heroin addicts who have addicted for more than 5 years.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 2003;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the effects of non-ionic low osmolar contrast media (LOCM) on the apoptosis and mRNA expression of Bcl-2/Bax in rat glomerular endothelial cells cultured in vitro. Methods Rat glomerular endothelial cells were exposed to ioversol with different concentrations for different time. Cell viability was then assessed by MTT method and morphological changes of cells were observed by inverted microscopy. In order to analyze cell apoptosis, DNA electrophoresis was applied. Meanwhile, the expression changes of Bcl-2/Bax at mRNA level were determined by RT-PCR. Results The viability of rat glomerular endothelial cells was inhibited by ioversol in a concentration and time dependent manner. After being exposed to ioversol(90 mL/L)for 24 h, the cells began to become crimple, round, and even floating. A typical DNA ladder determined by agarose gel electrophoresis was observed. Noticeably, the mRNA level of Bcl-2 in ioversol treated cells was down-regulated, while Bax was up-regulated, so that the ratio of Bcl-2 mRNA to Bax mRNA increased significantly. Conclusion Non-ionic LOCM can induce glomerular endothelial cells apoptosis, which may be partly due to the disturbance of Bcl-2/Bax balance. This is probably related to the pathogenesis of contrast media nephropathy.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
The backward condition of clinical and fundamental investigation of diabetic retinopathy was unfit for the fast increasing diabetic patients and the high incidence of diabetic retinopathy. A database software of diabetic retinopathy, was developed. The system using windows 9x/NT has six functions as follows: patients′ general situation, examination table, checking picture index and users′ administration. The characteristics of the sole criterion, accuracy, continuity, completeness, frequency, different comparison, annexing the functions of computer based patient record which are profitable for long distance consultation and training.

BACKGROUND: Besides being a basic growth factor crucial to maintain and promote the development, differentiation and survival of the central nervous system, nerve growth factor(NGF) also plays an important role in the repair of injured peripheral nerves.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of the muscular injection of NGF on the regeneration and functional recovery of rat sciatic nerve after crush injury.DESIGN: A randomized controlled pilot study in rats with repeated observation and measurement.SETTING: Center for new drug evaluation in a military medical university.MATERIALS: This study was performed in the Center for New Drug Evaluation, Department of Basic Medicine, Second Military Medical University during the period from July 1999 to March 2000, using 40 SD rats weighing 200 to 250 g(of either sex of half number) provided by the Sino-British SIPPR/BK Lab Aninal Ltd (Shanghai).METHODS: Forty rats were randomized into high-, mid- and low-dose NGF treatment groups, normal control group and model control group. The sciatic nerves were clamped at 6 nm distal to the sciatic notch to induce a 4-mm-wide area of crush injury. In the high-, mid-; and low-dose NGF groups, the rats were given NGF at 8, 4 and 2 μg/kg per day(corresponding to 1.6 × 10 3, 8 × 10 2 and 4 × 10 2 IU/kg per day) respectively via the muscular injection for 56 consecutive days.(NCVs) and sciatic function index(SFI) at different time points after the RESULTS: Compared with that of the model control group, the NCVs significantly increased in the high-dose NGF group 35 and 56 days after the injury, and in the mid-dose NGFgroup at 35 days(t=2.32-5.14, P <0.05-0.01 ). The SFIs significantly increased in all NGF-treated groups at 14 days ( t = 2. 29-6.28, P < 0.05-0.01 ), with the recovery most conspicuous in high-dose NGF group; No significant difference in the SFIs was found between the NGF-treated groups on the 56th day. Morphological examination of the tissues identified no significant difference in the nerve myelin sheaths and axons in NGF-treated groups as compared with the normal control group, while in the model control group, myelin sheath dislocation with unclear microstructure was observed, accompanied by Schwann cell degeneration and necrosis.CONCLUSION: NGF promotes the repair of the damaged nerve myelin sheath and axon and stimulates nerve fiber regeneration and function recovery of the crushed rat sciatic nerves.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2021;37(12):936-941
Objective:To explore the factors influencing patient safety behavior of nursing students during clinical practice. Methods:A cross-sectional study was used, in which a total of 214 participants completed the online survey related to the undergraduate nursing students ′ clinical teaching satisfaction scale, safety attitude questionnaire and nurse safety behavior questionnaire. Results:The mean scores of clinical teaching satisfaction, safety attitude and nurse safety behavior were (3.83±0.81), (3.70±0.65) and (3.93±0.79) respectively. There were positive correlations between clinical teaching satisfaction, safety attitude with the nurse safety behavior ( r=0.82, 0.75, P<0.01). The results also showed that the same shifts with their clinical instructors, clinical teaching satisfaction and safety attitude could affect safety behavior of nursing students ( F=67.81, R2=0.753, ΔR2= 0.742, P=0.00), which accounted for 74.20% of total variation. Conclusions:The same shift arrangement for both clinical instructors and nursing students, enhancement of the demonstration and guidance from clinical instructors, as well as strengthening the cultivating patient safety attitude would be beneficial to promoting the safety behavior of nursing students during clinical practice.
