In this paper, Paraffin and Frozen sections of cysticercus cellulosae cysts were used as antigens in IFA for diagnosis of cysticercosis. The results showed that the positive rates of 92 sera and 51 sera from the patients with cysticercosis that had been confirmed were 90% and 94%. respectively, Both of them have no significant difference This shows that both the paraffin and Frozen section have the same sensitivity. The former also has the advantages of convenience in production, and there is no need for low temperature equipment. When using the two section antigens, there were cross reactivity between the sera from patients of cysticercosis and the sera from patients of hydatidosis and clonorchiasis, while the tested 30 sera from healthy persons were negative reaction.

Diosgenin,an important steroid sapogenin,is one of major precursors of synthetic steroids.It is rich in natural resources and has various significant activities such as anti-tumor,anti-inflammation,and cardiovascular-protection and so on.Recently,it causes increasing attention of scholars all over the world due to its valuable application in medicine.In this paper,the latest international research advances of diosgenin in its pharmacologic activities and mechanism were reviewed.

Objective To explore the relationship of plasma salusin-? level with the stability,severity,and other risks of coronary atherosclerosis.Methods The patient group included 122 hospitalized patients with coronary artery disease(CAD),whose diagnoses were confirmed by coronary angiography(CAG).The CAD group was further divided into subgroups according to the clinical types,the number of diseased coronary branches,and Gensini's scores.Control group inlcuded 60 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination in our hospital.Salusin-? level and other general biochemical indicators were determined,and the general clinical data were obtained before CAG in all subjects.Results The peripheral blood salusin-? level in CAD patients was significantly lower than that in the controls([0.50?0.18]ng/ml vs [0.69?0.23 ng/ml],P

Objective To isolate and identify the putative Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) re-ceptors from C6/36 and Vero cells. Methods Molecules binding with JEV were isolated from C6/36 and Vero cells by co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) approach, identified by mass spectrometry, and detected by Western blot. The location of putative JEV receptor on cells membrane and the binding with JEV were ob-served by laser scanning confocal microscopy (LCM). Results Several molecules binding with JEV were isolated from C6/36 and Vero cells by Co-IP, and only one molecule was identified as heat shock cognate 70 (HSC70) by mass spectrometry. Antibody against HSC'70 was able to detect a 74 ×103 protein isolated by Co-IP from C6/36 and Vero cells membrane in Western blot assays. It was observed by LSCM that when JEV attached on the surface of C6/36 cells, JEV and HSCT0 protein were co-localization. Conclusion 74 x 103 molecular identified as HSC70 protein from C6/36 cells may be JEV receptor.

Objective The aim of this study was to analyse characteristics of CRC in a cohort under the age of 40 .Methods Using single center retrospective cohort study ,we reviewed the prospectively collected database of 2 897 colorectal cancer patients who had undergone curative CRC resections in Chongqing Medical University between 2010 and 2014 .175 patients (5 .8% ) were under 40 ,in which six patients for various reasons (including recurrent colorectal cancer hospital ,incomplete information ,etc .) were excluded .A group of 180 consecutive patients over the age of 40 undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer in the same centre was used as control .Results There had no difference in tumor classification and tumor location between the younger group (<40) and the older group(>40) ,but the lymph node positive rate in younger group was higher ,unable to accurately grasp the preopera‐tive lymph node status ,lead to lack of preoperative staging ,and that made it difficult to preoperative treatment options .Conclusion Therefore ,to young people in colorectal preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiation indications and the assurance of intraoperative re‐section range ,we need to do more consideration.

ObjectiveTo investigate the karyotypes of amiotic fluid cells and compare the incidence of chromosomal abnormality as well as to evaluate the clinical significance of abnormal karyotypes. MethodsA total of 13 648 pregnant women came to Shanghai Jiai Genetics and IVF Institute, Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Fuclan University to do amniocentesis from September 1998 to November 2010, and 13 795 amniotic fluid specimens were successfully extracted and cultured, thus 13 795 fetuses received karyotype diagnosis. These fetuses were grouped according to different indications. If maternal age was ≥ 35, the fetuses were grouped into the advanced maternal age group (4065) ; and if maternal serum screening test revealed high-risk of trisomy 18 or trisomy 21, the fetuses were grouped into the high-risk serum screening group (6462) ; and those with abnormal signs of ultrasound screening were grouped into the abnormal ultrasound signs group (1539); and if either of the parents was with chromosome abnormalities, the fetus was grouped into the paternal/maternal abnormality group ( 108 ) ; whereas the remainder were grouped in other factors group ( 1621 ). The amniotic fluid cells were in-situ cultured on coverslips, harvested by conventional G-banded methods, and then analyzed by two doctors. In order to get rapid diagnosis, some pregnant women whose gestational age ≥26 weeks accepted fluorescense in situ hybridization (FISH). FISH was done on 78 uncultured amniotic fluid specimens using probes located at chromosome 13,18,21, X,Y. Some parents were required to analyze lymphocyte karyotype to help judging the origin of abnormal karyotype. Results( 1 ) Classification and composition of abnormal karyotypes in each group : a total of 388 abnormal karyotypes were found among 13 795 fetuses, and the abnormal rate was 2. 813％ (388/13 795).Of the 388 fetuses, aneuploidy was the most common pattern which was up to 59. 8％(232/388);autosomal structural abnormality rate was 24. 7％ ( 96/388 ) ; mosaicism was 12.4％ (48/388). Other uncommon abnormal karyotypes included marker chromosome (5/388,1.3％), sex chromosomal structural abnormality (4/388,1.0％) and triploid (3/388, 0. 8％ ). Aneuploidy was the most common in most groups except the patemal/matemal abnormality group. There were four cases of rare aneuploid in the advanced maternal age group,the high-risk serum screening group and the abnormal ultrasound signs group respectively. Every type of abnormality could be found in the abnormal ultrasound signs group, and autosomal structural abnormalities were concentratedin paternal/maternalabnormality group. Mosaicism mainly distributed in the high-risk serum screening group, accounting for 20. 0％ (29/145) of abnormalities in this group. (2) Abnormal types and the incidence: the most common type was trisomy 21 ( 138/388,35.6％ ),followed by autosomal balanced structural rearrangements( 80/388, 20. 6％ ), mosaicism(48/388,12. 4％ )and trisomy 18 (44/388,11.3％ ). Others included non-balanced autosomal structural rearrangements (16/388,4. 1％ ), 45 ,X0 ( 16/388,4. 1％ ) and 47 ,XXY( 15/388,3.9％ ). (3) Lymphocyte karyotype analysis of the couples: parents of 153 fetuses were analyzed to determine the origin of abnormal karyotype. Fifty-eight familial and 95 de novo abnormalities were found. FISH results were the same with G-banding karyotype, and two of these were trisomy 21. Conclusions Abnormal karyotype composition is different according to different maternal amniocentisis indications. There is a variety of abnormal karyotypes in the second trimester pregnancy, and the risk of fetal malformation is related with the kind of abnormal karyotype.

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of reconstruction of the mandibular defect in patients with osteoradionecro-sis using submental artery island flap and reconstructive Ti-plate.Methods:20 cases with mandible osteoradionecrosis underwent par-tial mandibulectomy.The submental artery island flap and reconstructive Ti-plate were used to reconstruct the mandibular defects and adjacent soft tissue defects.The post-operative effects and flap successful rate were evaluated with a follow-up period of 6 to 1 8 months.Results:1 9 flaps were well survived,local necrosis in the remote end was observed in 1 flap,but survived by hyperbaric ox-ygen therapy and iodoform gauze dressing,no plate exposure was found after operation in the follow up period.All patients were satis-factory with the outlook.Conclusion:Submental artery island flap combined with reconstructive Ti-plate is feasible in the treatment of osteoradionecrosis.

This study aims to investigate the effect of total flavones of Fructus Chorspondiatis (TFFC) on the mRNA and protein expression of collagen type I and III of rat cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) induced by angiotensin II (Ang II), and explore its anti-myocardial fibrosis molecular mechanism. Neonatal rat CFs were prepared from Sprague-Dawley rats (1-3 d after birth). The expression of collagen type I and III mRNA and protein were measured by RT-PCR and Western blotting, respectively. The study showed that stimulation of neonatal rat CFs with 100 nmol.L-1 of Ang II for 72 h resulted in a significant increase of the expression of collagen type I and III mRNA and protein. The changes on the expression level were blocked by TFFC. The results demonstrated that TFFC can inhibit myocardial fibrosis induced by Ang II in rats, which is probably associated with the collagen type I and III mRNA and protein levels up-regulated by Ang II, and TFFC was shown to decrease the expression levels of collagen type I and III mRNA and protein.

Objective To explore the effect of NE/α1-AT on the pathogenesis of NASH and the adjustment function of berberine to the imbalance of NE/α1-A and the therapeutic action of berberine to NAFLD.Methods 8-week-old male C57BL/6JApoE/ mice (26),according to the weight assigned to the high-fat-high-cholesterol group (18) and standard chow group (8).HFHC group fed with high fat high cholesterol diet and normal water;the SC group fed with normal diet and drank normal water.After 8 weeks,the HFHC group divided into HFHC group and BBR group according to the weight,Berberine group with 200mg/kg/d berberine,the other two groups fed with the same volume of distilled water.12 weeks all mice were sacrificed.We detected body weight,live weight,live function and lipid metabolism.HE and oil red O staining were used to evaluate pathological changes.ELISA method was used to detect NE and α1-AT expression in mice live tissue;RT-PCR method was used to detect protein α1-AT mRNA expression in live tissue; Immunohistochemistry and Western Blotting were applied to determine expression of NE.Results Compared with the SC group at the end of 12 weeks,ALT,AST were significantly increased in HFHC group,TG was significantly higher than the SC group.Body weight and live weight of ApoE-/-mice fed with HFHC diet significantly higher than the SC group.HE staining showed obvious steatosis and inflammatory foci in HFHC group.The NAS score at the end of model establishment was 5-8 points,which reached the diagnostic criterion for NASH.The concentration and activity of NE in the SC group were significantly increased,and the level of α1-AT was decreased,which lead to ratio NE/α1-AT was significantly higher than the SC group.BBR in mice treated with HE staining showed inflammation ballooning lower than HFHC group.At week 12,ALT,AST of BBR group increased compared with the SC group,and significantly lower compared with the HFHC group.NE/α1-AT was significantly higher than the HFHC group.Conclusions 12 weeks of high fat and high cholesterol feeding,ApoE-/-mice can successfully establish the NASH mouse model;a marked change and contact exist between NE and α1-AT in the process of development of NASH; Berberine can reduce liver lipid deposition and the degree of inflammation in NASH mice,and can improve the NE/ alpha 1-AT imbalance.
