Objective To established a method for the content determination of ginsenoside Rg1 in Yushangling Capsules by HPLC. Methods HPLC was used with the C18 column. The mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.5% phosphoric acid (24∶76). The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, the column temperature was 25 ℃, and the detection wave was set at 205 nm. Results The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.05~0.80 ?g. The regression equation was Y =3629375.5X+2517.1, r =0.9998. The average recovery was 100.48% and RSD was 1.59%. Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and suitable for the content determination of ginsenoside Rg1 in Yushangling Capsules.

Through the consultation of TCM ancient classical theory, the relationship of kidney essence, marrow and brain is analyzed. It is discovered that the degenerative brain diseases, represented by Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) share the same etiological basis as "kidney essence deficiency and brain marrow emptiness" and have the mutual pathological outcomes as yang qi declining. The Governor Vessel gathers yang qi of the whole body and maintains the normal functional activity of zangfu organs in the human body through the storage, regulation and invigoration of yang qi. It is viewed that the theory of the Governor Vessel is applied to treat the different degenerative brain diseases, which provides the theoretic support and practice guide for the thought of TCM as the same therapeutic program for the different diseases. As a result, the degenerative brain diseases can be retarded and the approach is provided to the effective prevention and treatment of degenerative diseases in central nerve system:

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1994;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the activity of autonomic nervous system (ANS) in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus ( DM) after non-cardiac surgery. Mehtods Thirty ASA Ⅰ-Ⅲ patients aged ≥ 60 yrs undergoing elective abdominal surgery or operation on the lower limbs were assigned to one of 2 groups ( n =15 each) : DM group and non-DM group. The patients were monitored with Holter (DMS Co, U.S. A) the day before and on the 1st and 2nd day after operation. Heart-rate variability (HRV) including total power (TP), high frequency (HF), low frequency (LF), very low frequency (VLF) and LF/HF ratio were recorded. Results TP and HF were significantly lower in DM group than in non-DM group before operation ( P

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2006;4(4):335-8
In the opinion of dialectical materialism, concept is developing with the deepening and broadening of human being's mind. The developing process of syndrome concept in traditional Chinese medicine also takes the same way. In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the connotation of syndrome concept was defined and the embryonic form of syndrome differentiation of zang-fu viscera was formed. In the Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the development of syndrome concept embodied in optimizing the theoretical research based on clinical practice and experiences according to many medical masters in different denominations. The syndrome differentiation of eight principles was established to standardize and perfect the principles of syndrome differentiation in the Qing Dynasty. Modern research of syndrome concept is manifested in objectifying the process of research of syndrome and diseases in different levels and aspects by use of advanced scientific technology.

The apoplexy was first formally proposed by Zhang Zhongjing in TCM.After extensive study of the medical researchers, its on causes, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment and prescription were developed. The cause and pathogenesis covered three stages:The period of exopathic wind, endogenous wind and combination of internal and external wind. The knowledge of the cause and the pathogenesis of the apoplexy during Jing,Yuan and Ming dynasty focused on endogenous wind. The article reviews the medical researchers' understanding of the apoplexy's pathogenic rule from the review on classical literatures of this period.

The development of new media technologies and the proposal of Healthy China program have provided new technical support and policy endorsement for health services. At the same time, knowledge adaptability, service efficiency and cooperation mode are bringing forth challenges to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) knowledge management. This study, citing the National famous doctor inheritance studios as an example, introduced the dimension of knowledge value into the knowledge management of TCM, constructed the cycle path of knowledge management, and analyzed the process of knowledge management, knowledge output and application, for the purposes of exploring the main reasons for the dilemma of knowledge sharing in the communities of National famous doctor inheritance studios. Finally, the paper put forward targeted measures in the following aspects: the creation of inheritance and innovation value chain, the expansion of social cooperation mode, the refinement of health service path and the integration of human resources. These measures aim to provide references for guiding the reform of TCM knowledge management and improving the value creation of TCM knowledge.

The data of 6 patients with tertiary hyperparathyroidism were retrospectively analyzed. The first symptom in 3 patients was bone ache,1 with lower extremity weakness,1 with swelling of lower limbs, and 1 with increase serum alkaline phosphatase.5 patients had past history of renal failure,1 case suffered from severe intestinal malabsorption, and 4 of them had renal transplantation.X-ray showed subperiosteal bone resorption, bone demineralization,or cellulose osteitis.5 subjects presented with osteoporosis, and 1 of them had fractures.Left atrioventricular membrane calcification and gluteal calcification were found in each of 2 cases.4 patients suffered from hypercalcaemia,2 patients with normal serum calcium,4 with hypophosphataemia, and 6 with high levels of PTH.Pathological results showed adenoma in parathyroid gland in 4 patients and enlarged parathyroid glands in 2 patients.Serum calcium and PTH levels returned to normal after operation and calcium supplement.

Objective To establish the quality standard of Fufang Tianma Gouteng Orally Disintegrating Tablets. Methods Gastrodiae Rhizoma, Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis, Angelicae Sinensis Radix and Paeoniae Radix Alba in the preparation were identified by TLC, the content of gastrodin in gastrodia was determined by HPLC. Results The herbs of preparation could be identified by TLC without interference. Gastrodin showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.191 2-1.147 2 μg (r=0.999 9). The average recovery was 97.72% (RSD=1.40%, n=6). Conclusion The methods are available with a good reproducibility, and can control the quality of the preparation effectively.

Objective To explore the expressions of survivin and Ki-67 in breast cancer tissues after neo-adjuvant chemotherapy and their clinical significance. Methods The expressions of survivin and Ki-67 in 60 cases of breast cancer with neo-adjuvant chemotherapy(NACT) with CTF regimen and 60 cases without NACT were detected by SABC immunohistochemical technique.ResultsThe positive rates of survivin(36.7%)and Ki-67(38.3%) in neo-adjuvant chemotherapy group were significantly lower than those in control group(71.7%,61.7%)(P0.05).ConclusionsThe therapeutic effect of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy with CTF regimen can increase the remission rate of breast cancer.Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy could inhibit the expression of survivin protein, and thus further inhibit proliferation of tumor cell.

Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase Ⅱ(CaMKⅡ),which is an important protein kinase involved in learning and memory,is found in most tissues, but it is present in especially high concentrations in neurons. The relatively high expression of CaMKⅡin nervous system suggests it plays an im-portant role in the function of nervous system. This paper re-views the research development of the molecular structure of CaMKⅡ and its autophosphorylation, subcellular localization and its role in synaptic plasticity.
