Objects: To measure practicing medical students' basal energy expenditure(BEE). Methods: 200 practising medical students were chosen to measure BEE by standard method of CCM metabolism cart,and the BEE results were compared with forecast values from the calculation formula of healthy adult. Results: Actual BEE of male students was(4 920.4?1 343.1)kJ/d,female(3 393.2?824.2)kJ/d.The results were significantly lower than corresponding forecast values.Conclusion: The BEE of practising medical students is lower than forecast values from the calculation formula of healthy adult,showing that students' constitution was poorer.The possible reasons may be less exercise and diet.

Through reviewing the relative literatures at home and abroad in recent years, the research progress in the chemical compositions and pharmacological activities of Ficuspumila L.was summarized.The study situation of flavonoids, terpenoids and carbohydrates et al in Ficuspumila L.was reviewed, and such pharmacological activities as antibacterial, antioxidant, hypoglycemic and anti-tumor of Ficuspumila L.were also evaluated.The modern researches showed Ficuspumila L.could be used for the treatment of intestinal cancer, lymphoma, mammary cancer and esophagus cancer.The review provided scientific basis for the further research and clinical application of Ficuspumila L.

Objective: To investigate nutrition status and diet condition of 1 000 medical studients,and intervent their diet in order to improve the constitution.Methods: 200 practicing medical students' basal energy expenditure was firstly measured and their diet structure was investigated 1 000 practicing medical students were choosed and their diet kinds and calories were recommended to reach the standard quantity.After one year,their nutrition status and diet structure were remeasured.Results: Under the nutrition doctor' direction,they could change unreasonable diet structure,and received a balanced and enough diet.At last,their nutrition status had been improved.Conclusion: It is feasible to adjust the medical students' diet structure and improve their nutrition and health status by the means of nutrition education.

Basic surgical skills tralning which belongs to the basic course of surgery, is clini-cal basis for the medical students. The teaching practice of basic surgical skills tralning was explored by the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University, the theoretical teaching was combined with skills tralning practice, three kinds of means which contalned the model, animal tissues and or-gans in vitro and animal experiment were used to carry out systemic and standardized tralning. Finally, the basic surgical skills of postgraduate in surgery were improved, and the expected alm of teaching was achieved.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the prevention and nursing of diabetic foot which is one of diabetic complications.METHODS To analyze and summarize the data of twenty six patients with diabetic foot.RESULTS Twenty dermal ulcer patients recovered,6 mummification necrosis patients improved at some extents.CONCLUSIONS It is very important to strengthen the education of diabetic knowledge and the correct nursing of diabetic foot for the prevention and development of diabetic foot.

ObjectiveTo employ the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF165) gene transfected rabbbit osteoplast to combine with the porous nano-hydrxyapatite crystal (n-HA)/polyam ide 66(/PA66) so as to evaluate the osteogenesis and rapid revascularization early after repair of the rabbit radius bone defects with the tissue-engineered bone (n-HA/PA66/osteoplast/VEGF165).MethodsThe animal models of bilateral radius bone defects were created in 56 New Zealand white rabbits that were then randomly divided into Group A and Group B.In Group A, the animals were implanted with n-HA/PA66on the left bone defects (Group Al) and with n-HA/PA66/VEGF165 composite materials on the right bone defects (Group A2). In Group B, the animals were implanted with n-HA/PA66/osteoplast/VEGF165 composite materials on the left side (Group B1) and with n-HA/PA66/osteoplast on the right side (Group B2).Gross, digital radiography, histological sections, vessel count and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were performed at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks after operation.ResultsThe osteogenesis and revascularization in Group B1 was superior to that in the other groups at each time point, with statistical difference (P ＜0.05).The revascularization and osteogenesis in Groups B1 and B2 was far better than that in Groups A1 and A2, with no statistical difference between Group A1 and Group A2.ConclusionsThe new tissue-engineered bone (n-HA/PA66/osteoplast/VEGF165) has a perfect osteogenetic effect and can promote rapid revascularization and the bone healing in the early stage after repair of the bone defects.

Objective To evaluate the applicative value of ultrasound elastography in diagnosis of focal lesions in the parotid and submandibular glands.Methods 30 patients(30 lesions) were scanned by real-time ultrasound elastography and were analyzed in elastography evaluated criteria (5 score method).All the results were compared with the pathological types.Results The elastographic grades of most benign nodules were 1 - 3,while most of malignancy were 4 - 5.The elastographic grades of benign and malignant lesions were of significant difference statistically( P ＜0.01 ).If elastographic grade 4 or 5 were diagnosed as malignancies,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy for diagnosing malignant l(e)sions in the parotid and submandibular glands were 72.73 ％,84.21 ％,80.00 ％,respectively.Conclusions Ultrasound elastography is useful in the differential diagnosis of focal lesions in the parotid and submandibular glands.

Objective To invesigate the reproducibility of automated breast volume scanner ( ABVS) in detection of breast lesions . Methods Thirty‐five patients with breast lesions diagnosed by conventional hand‐hold ultrasound were involved in the study . Every patient underwent ABVS twice by two different doctors . The number ,location and size of findings were documented and analyzed . Intra‐class correlation coefficients were used to evaluate the reproducibility . Results The number of findings was 67 and 68 respectively ,and the cronbach′s ɑwas 0 .997 . The ɑ of distance from nipple ,distance from skin ,and clock face location were 0 .343 ,0 .883 ,and 0 .949 . The ɑ of length superior‐inferior ,medial‐lateral ,and anterior‐posterior were 0 .938 ,0 .936 ,and 0 .948 . Conclusions The reproducibility of ABVS in detection of breast lesions is perfectly high . ABVS may be a good modality in monitoring benign lesions and evaluating neoadjuvant chemotherapy in the future .

Objective:To study the relationship between atrophy of the thymus and disease severity in EAE.Methods:MOG35-55 peptide induced EAE in C57BL/6 mice and analyzed the relationship between the severity of EAE and thymic atrophy,Flow cytometry analysis was used to evaluate thymic CD4+CD8+DP cells,CD4+CD8-,CD4-CD8+SP cells in relation to the severity of the disease.Results:The number of thymocytes in mice with decreased tail tone was (20.25 ±3.49) ×106 ,hindlimb weakness(4.93 ± 0.85)×106,complete hindlimb paralysis(1.8 ±0.19) ×106,and forelimb and hindlimb paralysis(0.52 ±0.07) ×106,there were statistically significant differences between groups ( P<0.05 ).As the disease progresses, CD4+CD8+DP cells ratio decreased, CD4+CD8-,CD4-CD8+SP cell ratio increased,different disease groups was statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion: The atrophy of thymus was closely related to the severity of EAE.Migration of activated T cells in EAE may cause atrophy of thymus.
