leucine-rich repeat (in FLⅡ) interacting protein 1(LRRFIP1) is a kind of transcription inhibitory factor which exists in tissue cells of various animals and human body. Its expression increases significantly in epidermal growth, tumors and cerebrovascular diseases. With transcription inhibition feature,it involves in the regulation of signal pathways and the platelet cytoskeleton component. It is also target gene of miRNA regulation and plays an important role in the process. This paper reviews the LRRFIP1 structure characteristics, distribution and function and its regulation mechanism.
