Objective To investigate the effects of acupoint therapy on inflammatory factors and its clini-cal efficacy in relieving bronchial asthma. Methods Selected patients with bronchial asthma which was in remis-sion were randomly divided into a treatment group that was treated with acupoint therapy and a control group that was given Seretide. Each group had 30 cases. The treatment period was 4 weeks. Both groups were evaluated in terms of Asthma Control Test ( ACT) scores and the serum content of interleukin-5 ( IL-5) and interleukin-10 ( IL-10) before and at one month ( short-term) , as well as three months after the end of the treatment ( long-term) . The asthma control situation ( fully controlled, partially controlled or uncontrolled) was evaluated. Results Before treatment the average ACT scores of the two groups were not significantly different. After the treatment both the short-term and long-term average ACT scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the con-trol group. The total effectiveness rate of asthma control in the treatment group in the short term ( 93%) was signifi-cantly higher than that in the control group ( 70%) . After the treatment the IL-5 and IL-10 levels in the treatment group were improved to a significantly greater extent than those in the control group. Conclusion Acupoint thera-py can reduce airway inflammation, control bronchial asthma symptoms and show good clinical efficacy, probably by regulating IL-5 and IL-10 levels.

Objective To assess the effects of thalidomide on VEGF mRNA level in human breast cancer cell lines. Methods Breast cancer cells were treated with thalidomide for 24~72h, RT-PCR was uced to detect the level of VEGF mRNA expression. Results When the concentration of drug is 50μg/L,thalidomide strongly inhibited the level of VEGF mRNA expression. Conclusion Within certain concentration range of thalidomide can inhibit the level of VEGF mRNA expression in breast cancer cell.

Objective To evaluate intraoperative ultrasound combined with near-infrared imaging in laparoscopic liver tumor resection. Methods 15 cases undergoing laparoscopic hepatectomy at our department from Ju12017 to Sep 2017 were enrolled in this study. We observed the volume of resected liver,ICG test, the ability of detected lesion overlooked by preoperative imaging, operation time, blood loss, hospital stay, postoperative complication, final pathological result, and tumor margin. Results We have done laparoscopic hepatectomy in 15 cases by intraoperative ultrasound and near-infrared imaging. There was no conversion to open surgery, blood loss was (220 ± 159) rnl, operation time was (136 ±6) min, hospital stay was (8.6 ± 2.1) d,tumor margin was (1.6 ± 1.1) cm,all were tumor negative. There was no major complications such as postoperative bleeding, nor perioperative death. There were pleuraleffusion in 3 cases and bile leakage in one,all were cured by drainage. Conclusion Intraoperative ultrasound combined with near-infrared imaging during the process of laparoscopic hepatectomy helps in assuring safe tumor margin and preserving normal liver parenchyma.
