Objective To study the effects of different levels of hemodilution during extracorporeal circulation(ECC) on the concentration of lactic acid and postoperative outcome in children with congenital heart disease. Methods Sixty children with congenital heart diseases undergoing open heart surgery with ECC were randomly divided into three groups: groupⅠ(n=20) underwent mild hemodilution [Hb(80—90)g/L],groupⅡ(n=20) with medium hemodilution [Hb(70—79)g/L],and groupⅢ(n=20) with deep hemodilution [Hb(60—69)g/L].The concentration of lactic acid and PaO_2 in groupⅡ and group Ⅲ were compared with groupⅠ before ECC,during ECC,after ECC and 24h after the operation. The rate of homologous transfusion during ECC and the postoperative dosage of furosemide were also compared among the three groups. Results The concentrations of lactic acid and PaO2 in the three groups were all within normal range before ECC,during ECC,after ECC and 24h after operation. The homologous transfusion rate during ECC were lower in groupⅡ(30%)and groupⅢ(15%) compared to that of groupⅠ(50%)(P

Objective To explore the value of conventional and contrast‐enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) in the diagnosis of tumors in front of the orbit equator . Methods Clinical data included conventional ultrasound and CEUS image of 133 cases (156 eyes) with orbital lesions were analyzed retrospectively . All lesions were confirmed by surgical pathology or clinical cure ,which included 26 cases of cystic lesions (epidermoid cysts ,dermoid cysts ,sebaceous cysts and mucous cysts) ,29 cases (30 eyes) of orbital hemangioma ,13 cases ( 16 eyes ) of inflammatory pseudotumor ,11 cases of lacrimal gland pleomorphic adenoma ,3 cases (5 eyes) of lymphoepithelial lesion ,36 cases (53 eyes) of malignant lymphoma ,5 cases of meibomian gland carcinoma ,4 cases of lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma ,3 cases of malignant melanoma and 3 cases of basal cell carcinoma . Results CEUS of benign cystic lesions showed the tumors were enhanced inhomogenously . Most CEUS of benign tumours displayed?slow in and slow out ,and high enhancement when reached the peak but the size of images had no change . While CEUS of malignant tumours showed?fast in and fast out ,homogeneous or inhomogeneous high enhancement and ill‐defined or irregular shape ,and volume increased compared to two‐dimensional ultrasound when reached the peak .Some other former district orbital lesions ,such as cystic lesion ,cavernous hemangioma ,pleomorphic adenoma and malignant lymphoma ,had their own ultrasound features . Conclusions CEUS combines with conventional ultrasound may contribute to the qualitative diagnosis of tumors in front of the orbit equator .

Objective To provide reference for CT performance/quality test. Methods Researches were made in Chinese documentations on CT performance/quality test issued from 1998-aug 2002.Results Approximately a quarter of CTs among the documents assembly released public were tested unqualified . Qualification rate of new CTs was higher Than second-handed ones. Part of items and data in the documentations were insufficient. Conclusion CT performance/quality test is a crucial part of system Engineering of QC(quality control),therefore it must be implemented seriously and relevant regulations should be optimized in order to benefit both patients and health-care communities.
