1.Current progress in postmenopausal women with dry eye
International Eye Science 2015;(8):1350-1352
Dry eye is one of the most frequently ocular surface diseases. Recent researches found that many reasons caused decrease of ocular surface damage and the quality of tears , such as the change of ocular surface, immuno-inflammatory responses, apoptosis and the reduction of sex hormone. It is reported that the decline of ovarian function and hormone level in postmenopausal women which leads to abnormal structure and function of tear film is more likely to develop dry eye. In this paper, the ocular surface, pathogenesis and progresses of treatment on postmenopausal women with dry eye are reviewed.

The main obstacles and limitations on development of advanced life-rescuing information technology are identified based on analysis of existing information technology. The research ideas on digital information to replace analog information and response technology in lieu of new type life-rescuing information technology are putted forward, which combines RFID technology with biomedical engineering technology to research and design the life transponder that application bottleneck and advantage of the technique are analyzed.
4.Associations of IL-6/IL-6R polymorphisms with the risk of gastric cancer in Xuyi region of Huai'an
Chinese Journal of Clinical Laboratory Science 2017;35(3):184-188
Objective To investigate the associations of IL-6(rs6949149,rs1800796 and rs10499563) and IL-6R(rs2228145) single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP) with the risk of gastric cancer in Chinese Han population of Xuyi,Huai'an.Methods A total of 400 patients with gastric cancer and 400 healthy controls were enrolled in this case-control study. The genotypes of the four SNPs were detected by the Mass-Array technology. The associations between the IL-5/IL-6R SNPs and the risk of gastric cancer were analyzed by Logistic regression model. Results There was a significant difference in the distribution of the IL-6 rs1800796 genotypes between the patients with gastric cancer and healthy controls(x2 =6.213,P =0.045).The IL-6 rs1800796 GG genotype was associated with a increased risk of gastric cancer(adjusted OR =1.27,95 % CI:1.15-3.20,x2 =6.326,P =0.012).Subgroup analysis showed that the associations between the IL-6 rs1800796 GG genotype and the risk of gastric cancer were obvious in the female(adjusted OR =3.99,95% CI:1.36-11.71,x2 =6.358,P =0.012) and the patients with H.pylori infection(adjusted OR =2.20,95% CI:1.08-4.45,x2 =4.770,P =0.029).Conclusion The IL-6 rs1800796 GG geuotype is associated with the risk of gastric cancer, especially in the female and the patients with H.pylori infection.
5.Applications of Porous Scaffolds in Muscle Tissue Engineering.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(6):1343-1347
Scaffold is one of the key elements required for tissue engineering. Porous scaffolds have several special advantages for muscle tissue engineering, and they are beneficial to cell survival, myogenic differentiation, and vascular ingrowth. The performance of porous scaffolds is closely related to the property of the biomaterials used. Additionally, the pore size and porosity may affect cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. This review focuses on the application of porous scaffolds in muscle tissue engineering, including their categories, application, and advantages.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2011;30(11):917-918
ObjectiveTo investigate the age distribution of serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) and explore its correlation with fasting blood glucose(FBG)and lipid in the male elderly.MethodsThe levels of FBG,triglyceride (TG),low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C),high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and PSA were reviewed in 2903 elderly men (aged ≥ 60 years) in our hospital. The subjects were classified into 6 groups by age,and PSA levels were compared among groups. The correlations of FBG,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C with PSA were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results The level of PSA had the trend to increase with age.Positive association of TG,LDL with serum PSA level, but negative correlation between HDL and serum PSA level were noted in the group aged 60-64 years (r=0.10,0.15,0.12,P<0.05).In the group aged 66-69 years, there was negative relationship between FBG and serum PSA(r= 0.10,P<0.05).No relationship could be found in other groups (P>0.05).ConclusionsPSA level may increase with age,but without relation with FBG,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C.

Objective: To explore the methodology and efifcacy of transcatheter induced closure in patients with small patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Methods: A total of 717 PDA patients treated in our hospital from 2005-11 to 2014-08 were summarized and there were 8 patients with small PDA were treated by transcatheter induced closure method including 3 male and 5 female from (1-6) years of age at the mean of (3.9±1.4) years with the body weight of (10-21) kg at the mean of (15.2±3.7) kg. The procedures were performed under local or general anesthesia with right cardiac catheterization and descending aortic arch angiography to observe PDA morphology and to measure PDA diameter at aortic and pulmonary aterial lateral and ductus length. Right catheter along the guide wear was pushed to the narrowest part of PDA and the motion was repeated for several times to stimulate the local area and then, the catheter was kept at PDA aortic lateral about 20 minutes thereafter. Results: Descending aortic arch angiography indicated that no residual shunt at 20 min after catheter partial blockage in all 8 patients, the immediate closure rate was 100%. No patient suffering from re-canalization by 1 year follow-up examination. Conclusion: Transcatheter induced closure of small PDA has minor trauma, no foreign material implantation, with low cost and good effect. It provides a new method for treating such particular type of PDA patients in clinical practice.

OBJECTIVE To study the characteristic of nosocomial pulmonary infection to find out the measures for prevention and control.METHODS The patients with radiation brain injuries(RIB) from Oct 2004 to Jun 2007 underwent retrospective investigation. The reasons and sites of pulmoary infection were analyzed.RESULTS The incidence of pulmonary infection of patients with RIB after radiotherapy was 68.5%.Major factors of infection were bulb palsy, invasive treatment and hormone usage. The Gram-negative bacteria were the predominant pathogens.CONCLUSIONS The nosocomial pulmonary infection is related to many factors.Antibiotic usage according to drug susceptibility results and controlling of the risk factors are important measures to reduce the rate of infection.
