Objective To explore the application value of susceptibility weighted imaging (SWD) in the Parkinson disease (PD) diagnosis by analysis the changes of brain iron content of the basal ganglia and red nucleus.Methods Totally 56 cases of patients with PD and 40 cases of normal control group were diagnosed by SWI with the 3.0 T magnetic resonance imaging system,the corresponding phase image by using SWI processing software was obtained,the signal values of the various regions of the brain basal ganglia and red nucleus were measured and compared.Results In comparison of PD group with normal control group,the signal values showed differences in caudate (0.05±0.01 vs.0.04±0.01,t=1.991),putamen(-0.42±0.13 vs.-0.25±0.07,t=2.544) and globus pallidus(-0.23± 0.07 vs.-0.11±0.02,t=2.893) (all P＜0.05).Conclusions Determining the iron deposition signal of the various regions of the brain basal ganglia by SWI is valuable in the clinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.

Autophagy is a dynamic process which subcellular membranes undergo morphological changes that lead to the degradation of cellular cytoplasmic organelles and macromolecules.It is regulated by themammalian target of rapamycin ( mTOR ) -dependent or -independent signaling pathways.It has been demonstrated that autophagy is induced or inhibited in various tumor cells,and it is closely related with cell survival and drug resistance.Because of the complex relationships with cell death,the roles of autophagy in cancer developnent,treatment,and drug-resistance are not the same,and thus controlling autophagy properly may become one of new means of cancer therapy.

Objective To evaluate the efleet of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII)combined with mefformin hydroehloride( Met H)on type 2 diabetic patients. Methods 240 patients with type 2 diabetes melli-tus (T2DM) were divided into 3 groups randomly: CSII combined with Met H ( A group: n=80) ; simple CSII ( B group:n=80) ; multiple deliver insulin (MDI) ( C group: n=80). The levels of blood glucose, HbA1 e, therapeutic time, a-mount of insulin, Fins ,C-P, HOMA-IR and IAI were compared among them before and after 10d of treatment. Results GroupA, B eornpared with group C, the levels of HbA1 e significantly deeroased in other two groups [ ( 8.0±3.2)%vs. (6.9±1.4)% and(7.0±1.2)% ] (aU P<0.05),so did the therapeutic time[(6.0±1.9)d vs. (3.0±1.4) and(3.5±1.5) d] and insulin dose[ (55.0±17.0) U/d vs. (38.0±15.0) U/d and(45.0±16) U/d] (all P<0.05). The insulin dose was much less in group A than in group B. Versus group B and C,the HOMA-IR of group A (0.8±0.3 vs. 1.5±0.4 and 1.6±0.4)decreased(P<0.05) ,and IAI(-2.0±4.3 vs. -3.6±4. 2 and -4.1±4.3) increased (all P<0.05), without the function impairments of heart, liver or kidney. Conclusion CSII in combi-nation with mefformin hydreehloride can significantly enhance the treatment effect of the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitns; reduce blood glucose and HbA1 e, improve insulin resistenee,lessen insulin need.

Most patients with allergic conjunctivitis in children are vernal keratoconjunctivitis.Dry eye accompanied with al- lergic conjunctivitis in children is correlated with the decline of tear film stability.However,tear film stability decline is correlated with eosinophilic activation and concomitant release of inflammatory mediators.Moreover,conjunctival epithelial,goblet cells and tear film are damaged,then dry eye occur.Main symptom of dry eye in children is twinkling frequency increasing,followed by eye itch,eye red and photophobia.When allergic conjunctivitis in children is diagnosed,dry eye should be considered at the same time.Proper manage- ment for those allergic conjunctivitis can decrease ocular surface damages.

Objective: To perfect the quality standard of Fukeyangrong Pills and in order to control the quality of Fukeyangrong Pills. Methods:The qualitative and quantitative analyses were carried out by TLC and HPLC. Results: Radix anglicae sinesis; Radix ophiopognis, Radix pulsatillae and Radix scutellariae were idtentified successfully by TLC and the content of paeoniflorin in Fukeyangrong Pills was determined exactly by HPLC.Conclusion: The test provide scientific basis for the revision of the quality standard of Fukeyangrong Pills.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of polyethersulfone highlux dialyzer for maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods Thirty-six maintenance hemodialysis patients were randomizedresigned into two groups,polyethersulfone 14HF(PES-14HF)group and polyethersulfone 150DS(PES-150DS)group,based on a random number table. The patients from two groups received different dialyzer hemodialysis for over 3.5 hours/each time respectively. Changes of serum creatinine,urea,β2-microglobulin,hemoglobin and albumin levels were measured for determination of the efficacy and safety evaluation. Results In the comparison between before or after hemodialysis,the level of serum creatinine,urea,β2-microglobulin levels decreased significantly to(333.8 ± 89. 5)μmol/L,(7. 0 ± 1.9)mmol/L,(22. 9 ± 1.7)mmol/L from(990. 2 ± 191.2)μmol/L,(24. 7 ± 4. 1)mmol/L,(13.6 ± 3.3)mmol/L respectively in the PES1 4 HF group(P ＜ 0.01);the level of serum creatinine,urea,β2-microglobulin levels decreased significantly to(395.5 ± 86.1)μmol/L,(8. 1± 2. 8)mnol/L,(18.0 ± 3.0)mmol/L from(1059. 5 ± 179. 4)μmol/L,(25.3 ± 4. 8)mmol/L,(22. 3 ± 2. 9)mmol/L respectively in the PES-150DS group(P ＜ 0. 01). We found no significant differences in each measured index between two types of hemodialysis(P ＞ 0. 05 respectively),while the level of β2 -microglobulin levels decreased more significantly in the PES14HF group(42. 81 ± 12. 48)mg/L than PES-150DS group(24. 21 ± 13. 24)mg/L(P =0. 017). Conclusions The efficacy and safety of the PES-14HF hollow fiber membrane hemodialyzer is equivalent to that of the PES-150DS hemodialyzer in hemodialysis for uremic patients.

BACKGROUND: It is thought in traditional Chinese medicine that "the head is the residence of intelligence", "the head is the leader of body, and the focus of the spirit". Therefore, scalp electro-acupuncture can induce resuscitation, relieve mental confusion, dredge the meridian and eliminate the depression in treatment of post-stroke depression.OBJECTIVE: To observe the curative effect of head acupuncture on poststroke depression.DESIGN: Randomized controlled and single blind evaluationSETTING: Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University; College of Acupuncture and Massage,Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.PARTICIPANTS: Totally 90 patients with post-stroke depression were from Affiliated Nanfang Hospital and,Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University, First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were recruited. The Score of all the patients in Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HRSD) were ＞ 20. Ninety patients were randomly divided as scalp acupuncture group (n=46) and routine acupuncture group (n=44).METHODS: The patients in the routine acupuncture group were treated mainly at points of three-yang meridians of foot and hand at the hemiplegia side. The points include jianyu (LI-15) , binao (LI-14) , quchi (LI-11),shousanli (LI-10), waiguan (SJ-5), hegu (LI-4), biguan (St-31), liangqiu (St-34), zusanli (St-36), yanglingquan (GB-34), kunlun (UB-60), jiexi (St41). The above points were divided into 2 groups, 1 group each day, alternately. Even reinforcing-reducing method was used, with 30-minute needle retention, 6 successive days treatment with 1 day rest, for 6 weeks totally.The patients in the scalp acupuncture were treated with, besides the above method, scalp acupuncture. Mid-parietal line, mid-frontal line, laterofrontal lineI (both sides)were chosen. After arrival of qi, G6805 type electro-acupuncture apparatus (interrupted wave, 50 Hz,4 V) was connected, with 30-minute needle retention, 6 suocessive days treatment with 1 day rest, 6 for 6 weeks totally. HRSD was used to evaluate the status of depression before and after treatment. Stroke score was used to evaluate the curative effect of stroke.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: HRSD scores and curative effect of apoplexy before and after treatment of the patients in two groups.RESULTS: According to the intention treatment, all 90 patients entered the result analysis. ① HRSD score after treatment was lower than that be fore treatment in the scalp acupuncture group,and that after treatment group in the routine acupuncture group (8.55±1.73,30.61±4.02,15.04±2.33,P ＜ 0.01 ). ②There was no significant difference of the total effective rate in the two groups , but some tendency indicated the effective rate in the scalp acupuncture group was better than that in the routine acupuncture group ( 100% ,98% ,x2=1.9167 ,P ＞ 0.05).CONCLUSION: Scalp electro-acupuncture has obvious curative effect on post-stroke depression. The amelioration of melancholia has a certain promoting effect on rehabilitation of apoplexy.

The molecular and cellular mechanisms of bone metastasis in prostate cancer remain unclear. Current researches focus on chemotaxis of tumor cells in bone metastasis, interactions between tumor cells and bone micro-environment as well as the vicious circle among tumor cells, osteoclasts, osteoblasts and bone matrix.

Objective To study the regulation effect of salvianolic acid A and C molecular compatibility on inflammatory chemokine monocyte chemotaxis protein 1(CCL2)and CXC chemokine ligand 10(CXCL10)in human renal tubular epithelial(HK-2)cells intervened by human serum albumin(HSA),and to explore the anti-inflammatory and antioxidation effects of salvianolic acid A,C molecular medicine-pair compatibility.Methods The cultured human renal tubular epithelial cells were randomly divided into 5 groups:control group,model group,salvianolic acid A group(20 μmol/L),salvianolic acid C group(20 μmol/L),salvianolic acid A+C group(10 μmol/L salvianolic acid A+10 μmol/L salvianolic acid C).Except for the control group,the other groups were added with HSA intervention for 24,48,72 h,then the each treatment group was simultaneously added with the drug treatment.The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)method was used to detect the expression of CCL2,CC chemokine 7(CCL7)and CXCL10,and SOD,GSH and MDA were detected by WST-1,DTNB,TBA.Results Compared with the control group,the levels of CCL2,CCL7,CXCL10 and MDA at 3 time points of 24,48 72 h in other groups were significantly increased,while the GSH and SOD levels were significantly decreased(P＜0.05).Compared with the model group,the levels of CCL2,CCL7,CXCL10 and MDA in each treatment group were relatively decreased,while the GSH and SOD levels were relatively increased(P＜0.05).In the comparison of various treatment groups,the levels of CCL2,CCL7,CXCL10 and MDA in the salvianolic acid A+C group were lower than those in the salvianolic acid A group and salvianolic acid C group(P＜0.05),while the GSH and SOD levels were higher than those in the salvianolic acid A group and salvianolic acid C group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The salvianolic acid A and B molecular medicine-pair compatibility may improve renal fibrosis by decreasing the expression of inflammatory chemokines and antioxidation.
