1.Evaluation value of serum procalcitonin change rate determination on the prognosis of patients with severe pneumonia

Objective To investigate the evaluation value of serum procalcitonin(PCT) change rate determination on the prognosis of patients with severe pneumonia.Methods A total of 98 patients with pneumonia,patients were selected and divided into severe pneumonia group (50 cases) and mild pneumonia group (48 cases).The changes of serum PCT,blood routine,C reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin (IL)-6 concentration were observed dynamicly.The severe pneumonia hospitalization time,mechanical ventilation rate and mortality rate was recorded.Results The serum PCT and CRP levels in severe pneumonia group were significantly higher than those in mild pneumonia group [(19.8 ± 21.6) μ g/L vs.(1.5 ± 0.8) μ g/L,(34.3 ± 13.1) ng/L vs.(11.5 ± 5.2) ng/L],the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05); but there was no significant between two groups in white blood cell count (WBC),IL-6 (P> 0.05).Severe pneumonia in patients with serum PCT decreased rapidly as the disease was effectively controlled,WBC,CRP and IL-6 had been maintained at a high level.CRP decreased (10.3 ± 7.8)%,IL-6 decreased (12.4 ± 6.9)%,PCT decreased (43.5 ± 12.3)%,the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).Conclusion Compared with the traditional inflammatory indexes WBC,CRP and IL-6,PCT can assist in the diagnosis of infection,and the rate of change has certain clinical value in judging the prognosis in patients with severe pneumonia.

3.Strategies of strengthening the cultivation of medical graduate students' ability of clinical scien-tific research

Graduate education is the maln approach to cultivate advanced medical talents. However, the current clinical research ability tralning for postgraduate students is poor. This article discusses about four possible reasons: the misunderstanding of the medical research, system defects of the endowment of scientific research fund, drawbacks of evaluation criteria, and deficiency of grad-uate student curriculum. In order to improve the clinical research ability of medical graduates, this article also discusses the possible solutions: clarifying the understanding, strengthening policy support, im-proving the evaluation methods, and perfecting the tralning course of the clinical medical research.
4.Preparation and properties of drug carrier non-PEG blank liposomes

Objective To prepare drug carrier non-PEG blank liposomes, and study its properties.Methods High purity of egg yolk lecithin and cholesterol were used as film forming material.The high pressure homogeneous method-extrusion method and high pressure homogeneous method-ultrasonic method were used to prepare non-PEG blank liposomes.After that how the method of high pressure homogeneous, extrusion and ultrasonic influence the particle size of blank liposomes were studied, and the physical stability of blank liposomes were investigated.ResuIts The particle size of blank liposomes prepared by high pressure homogeneous method-extrusion method was about 86 nm, and its polydispersity index was 0.170.While the particle size of the blank liposomes prepared by high pressure homogeneous method-ultrasonic method was about 91 nm, and its polydispersity index was 0.362.ConcIusion Compared with high pressure homogeneous method-ultrasonic method, the blank liposomes prepared by high pressure homogeneous method-extrusion method had some advantanges, such as smaller particle size, narrow particle size distribution and high stability.
5.Discussion on the Defending Technologies for Military First-aid Equipments of the Army under Complex Electromagnetic Environments

Objective:To discuss the safety capability and defending technologies for military First-aid equipments of the army under complex electromagnetic environment.Methods:This paper analyzed the current status researching of the defending technologies for military First-aid medical equipments of the army,expatiated on the effect mechanism of the high power electromagnetic radiation on the medical equipment,and discussed the defending and reinforcing technologies.Results:The current military First-aid medical equipments of the army are of a sort defending capability,and it will have important significance to strengthen the study on the anti-electromagnetic interference technologies.Conclusion:The defending and reinforcing technologies discussed in this paper could enhance the subsistence capability of the military First-aid equipments under complex electromagnetic environments.

7.Relationship between expression of sex hormone receptor and tumor central artery in meningiomas

Objective To investigate the expression of sex hormone receptor (SHR) in meningioma and its relationships to the origin of tumor central artery.Methods The expressions of sex hormone receptors, including progesterone receptor (PR), androgen receptor (AR) and estrogen receptor (ER) in 43 cases with meningioma were detected by immunohistochemically streptavidin-peroxidase (SP) method. These data combined with the characteristics of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) were analyzed.Results The expression of ER in meningioma was not related to the origin of tumor central artery. 9.Cloning and bioinformatics analysis of gene F protein binding protein 1 of hepatitis C virus

Objective To clone and bioinformatically analyze the full-length sequence of F protein binding protein 1 (FBP1). Methods Yeast two-hybrid system was employed to obtain an unknown gene and named it as FBP1.The coding sequence of FBP1 was cloned using molecular biological techniques. Results The coding sequence of FBP1 was cloned successfully. Conclusion FBP1, a cellular protein binding to F protein of HCV, plays an important role in the interaction of virus protein and host cell protein.

In addition to traditional genetic, epigenetic play an important role in formation of Dao-di herbs. This paper introduces the concept of epigenetic and the role of DNA methylation in the gene expression regulation. We further prospects epigenetic mechanism in study of Dao-di herbs formation from specific phenotype and regional analysis. And study on the relationship of epigenetic and Dao-di herbs will provide a basis for quality assessment and identification of Chinese drugs.
