4.Study on effect of naringenin in inhibiting migration and invasion of breast cancer cells and its molecular mechanism.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(6):1144-1150
OBJECTIVETo study the effect of nadroparin in the migration of breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231 and its action mechanism.
METHODThe MTT test was adopted to observe the effect of different concentrations of naringenin on the growth capacity of breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231. Wound healing and transwell experiment analysis were conducted to detect the effect of naringenin on the migration of breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231. Western blotting was adopted to investigate the effect of naringenin on protein expressions of MDA-MB-231 cell Integrin β3, β1 and matrix metalloproteinase MMP-2 and MMP-9. The computer virtual docking technique was used to evaluate the combining capacity of naringenin and Integrin β3 in vitro.
RESULTNaringenin inhibited the migration of MDA-MB-231 cells in a dose-dependent manner. In wound healing and transwell experiments, with the increase in the concentration of naringenin, the number of migrant MDA-MB-231 cells and the invasion capacity of breast cancer cells decreased. Naringenin could inhibit the protein expression of Integrin β3 in a dose-dependent manner, but with unobvious effect on expression of Integrin β1. Besides, naringenin could significantly inhibit the protein expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9. The results of the computer virtual docking showed a negative value in the combining capacity between naringenin and Integrin β3, indicating the high affinity between them.
CONCLUSIONNaringenin can inhibit the growth capacity of breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231 and block the migration and invasion of breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231. Its mechanism is to down-regulate MMP-2 and MMP-9 expressions after combining with Integrin β3.

5.Applications of molecular diagnostics techniques in clinical microbiology laboratory
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2013;(2):109-112
Applications of molecular diagnostics in clinical microbiology laboratory were introduced in the article, including nucleic acid hybridization, nucleic acid amplification,DNA sequencing, gene chips and mass spectrometry.Molecular diagnostic techniques provide major tools for rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases, molecular epidemiology investigation, rapid identification of microbial pathogens and the study of the pathogenicity and antibiotics resistance. The application of these new technologies,as the complement of traditional culture methods, increases sensitivity, accuracy and diagnostic efficiency of assays.
6.Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty treats anteromedial compartment osteoarthritis of the knee
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2017;21(19):3080-3087
BACKGROUND: Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) began in the early 1970s, which was once negated due to high postoperative repair rate. The methods for early unicompartment osteoarthritis of the knee include UKA, total knee arthroplasty, high tibial osteotomy and fibular truncation. A large number of retrospective studies and literatures have pointed that UKA is effective for unicompartment osteoarthritis of the knee and holds unique advantages.OBJECTIVE: To review the status and research progress of UKA for anteromedial compartment osteoarthritis of the knee in view of indications, contraindications, operation curve, operation process and main technical points and clinical efficacy.METHODS: The first author retrieved the databases of PubMed and CNKI from March 2006 to September 2016 using the keywords of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, knee, osteoarthritis, clinical application in English and Chinese, respectively. A total of 95 literatures were searched, and 40 eligible articles were included in accordance with the inclusion criteria.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Only unilateral lesion (the degenerative cartilage surface of tibiofemoral joint) is replaced in UKA to treat early unicompartment osteoarthritis of the knee, which exhibits less trauma, rapid recovery, few complications, and normal postoperative proprioception of joint and high patient acceptance. Because of its narrow surgical indications, UKA application has been restricted compared with total knee arthroplasty. Indeed, total knee arthroplasty is matureand, and its long-term curative effect is clear. In contrast, UKA is carried out late in China, has not been popularized, and the long-term clinical efficacy remains to be verified further. But if we can accurately grasp the operation indications, choose appropriate patients, make careful preoperative preparation, and master mature skills, the clinical effect will be satisfactory. With the development of prosthesis, equipment design and operation technology, UKA will be prevailed in the treatment of anteromedial compartment osteoarthritis of the knee.
7.The relation between cardiac development and Wnt/?-catenin signal transduction in early embryo
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(01):-
The Wnt/?-catenin signal transduction pathway is essential for regulating cell proliferation, movement, differentiation and embryo development. Researchers have found that Wnt pathway is an important regulation factor in the early stimulation of the cardiogenesis and contacts closely the several key events during cardiac morphogenesis. The article reviews the recent studies about the relation between cardiac development and Wnt pathway in early embryo.
8.Effect of dehydroepiandrosterone on thymocytes in vitro
Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2009;13(8):547-549
Objective To study the effect of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) on the immune system by measuring the apoptosis and expression of Fas/FasL mRNA of thymocytes. Methods The cell viability of thymocytes was determined by MTT assay. Thymocyte apoptosis was detected by agrese gel electrophoresis. The expression of Fas and Fas-L was analyzed by a semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method. Results DHEA decreased the cell viability of thymocytes and induced thymocytes apoptosis and increased the levels of mRNA of Fas/FasL. Conclusion DHEA can induce apoptosis of thymocytes through Fas/Fas-L pathway. It suggests that DHEA may play a role in certain autoimmune diseases related to apoptosis disturbance.

10.Association of vitamin D level and severity of diabetic retinopathy and maculopathy
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2016;36(8):141-144
Objective To discuss the association between vitamin D level and the severity of diabetic retinopathy and maculopathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 657 patients with type 2 diabetic patients were included in our study and classified into four groups according to their severity of diabetic retinopathy:the non-diabetic retinopathy group(NDR group, n=257) ,the background diabetic retinopathy group(BDR group, n=243), the preproliferative diabetic retinopathy group(PPDR group, n=135) and the proliferative diabetic retinopathy group(PDR group, n=22).The patients were divided into maculopathy(n=563) and non-maculopathy(n=94).Characteristics data were recorded and disease duration, body mass index, blood pressure and other lipid makers were measured and compared among groups. Results Among four diabetic retinopathy groups, 25(OH)D was statistically different (P <0.05), however, compared to diabetic maculopathy group, the level of 25(OH)D in non-maculopathy group was not statistically different.Logistic regression showed that 25(OH)D was significantly associated with the severity ofdiabetic retinopathy(P<0.05), while not with diabetic maculopathy. Conclusion The level of 25 ( OH ) D is closely associated with the severity ofdiabetic retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and it might be an important predictor for the severity of diabetic retinopathy.
