1.Anti-UACA autoantibody in thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2012;28(5):402-403
Serum anti-uveal autoantigen with coiled coil domains and ankyrin repeats (UACA) antibody titer was measured using ELISA in 32 patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy ( TAO ) and 20 patients with Graves' disease (GD) without ophthalmopathy. The level of anti-UACA antibody in TAO group was higher than that in GD group [ (225.91 ± 144.21 vs 187.42 ± 46.77 ) pg/ml,P<0.05 ],and especially higher in patients with ocular myopathy [ (254.35 ± 168.29 ) pg/ml ].It seems that anti-UACA antibody is the sensitive clinical marker of ocular myopathy in TAO patients.
2.Clinical analysis of risk factors for postoperative anastomotic leakage in geriatric patients with esophageal carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2016;35(8):876-879
Objective To investigate the risk factors for postoperative anastomotic leakage in geriatric patients with esophageal carcinoma and provide new insights into clinical prevention and treatment.Method The fifty-six patients with anastomotic fistula were chosen from 636 esophageal carcinoma patients who underwent esophagectomy in Department of Thoracic Surgery from January 2011 to January 2016.In the 56 patients, the ratio of male (39 cases) to female (17 cases) was 2.3 ∶ 1.0,with the age range of 60-81 years, average of (66.4±8.6) years. The retrospective analysis was performed for obtaining the risk factors for anastomotic leakage. Results Fifty six cases who suffered from anastomotic fistula showed 10 cases (17.9%)with hormone administration,17 cases (30.4%) with preoperative chemo-radiotherapy,32 cases (57.1%) with the basic diseases,27 (48.2%) with preoperative dystrophia. In addition to the old age and tumor, the other risk factors for anastomotic leakage included the hormone use, preoperative malnutrition, and preoperative chemoradiotherapy. Conclusion High attentions have to be paid to the prevention and treatment of anastomotic fistula patients with chronic diseases, hormone use, preoperative malnutrition and preoperative chemo-radiotherapy.

8.Inducible deactivation mechanism underlying JNK signal cascade
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(09):-
MAPKKK (MEKK1 or ASK1)/MAPKK (SEK1 or MKK7)/JNK signal cascade is an important pathway which mediates apoptosis. MAPK phosphotase can deactivate JNK by dephosphorylation of JNK.The interaction between JNK and c-Jun can also be negatively regulated by NO through S-nitrosylation. SGK1 or Akt can result in deactivation of SEK1 through its phosphorylation at the Ser78 site. The c-FLIPL can block this cascade through binding with MKK7.GST Mu1-1 interferes and suppresses MEKK1-mediated apoptosis. GST Pi 1-1 and TRX have a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on ASK1 through forming protein complex. The deactivation of JNK can enhance drug resistance of tumor cells and counteract the injury from a wide variety of stimulus. Here, how these proteins induce deactivation of the pathway and mediate anti-apoptosis has been discussed.
9.Relationship between platelet activation and coronary heart diease and traditional chinese medicine research
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(05):-
The platelet membrance glycoprotein plays a key role in the adhesion, aggregation and release of platelet. It is the specific molecular marker for platelet activation. Many studies have confirmed that platelet membrane glycoprotein CD62P may be more sensitive and specific to reflect the occurrence of coronary artery development,CD62P level is positively correlated with the severity.A variety of traditional Chinese medicine can lower the CD62P level, inhibit platelet activation and the treatment play an important role in the treatment.
10.Bacterial Culturing and Drug Resistance of 408 Phlegm Samples from ICU
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2004;0(10):-
OBJECTIVE To establish the distribution and the drug resistance of the pathogens of lower respiratory tract infections in a comprehensive intensive care unit(ICU).METHODS The bacterial culturing and the tests on the antibiotic from the deep phlegm in an ICU of the hospital from 2004 to 2005 were retrospectively analyzed.RESULTS Totally 408 phlegm samples were tested and 216 of them had bacteria, the positive rate was 52.94%.From them were isolated 240 strains of bacteria(among them 12 samples with 2 kinds of bacteria). The strains of Gram-negative bacteria were 172 and the positive rate was 71.7%,there were 35 strains of Gram-positive cocci with the positive rate of 14.6%.And there were 33 strains of fungi, the positive rate was 13.7%.Acinetobacter baumannii occupied the first place. The lowest drug resistance rate of the Gram-negatives was to SCF(0.0%),IMP(17.8%),and LEV((20.0%)).All Gram-positive cocci were sensitive to vancomycin,no vancomycin resistant.Staphylococcus were found.Candida albicans was sensitive to all tested drugs.CONCLUSIONS The isolation rate of A.baumannii is significant higher than reported before and its drug resistance is heavier. It indicated the importance of monitoring bacterial distribution and drug resistance dynamics.
