Objective To investigate the effect of Hedysarum Polybotys saccharide(HPS)on insulin resistance rats. Methods The model of type 2 diabetic-insulin resistance rat was successfully made by STZ and high caloric diet. Then the rats were intervene by Metformin(MT)and HPS.Results Compared with the model group, the level of blood glucose,INS and CP were lowered,ISI were improved and FFA were restrained by HPS.Conc(?)sion HPS can reduce the insulin resistance in multiple ways.

To prepare sagittatoside B with epimedin B Hydrolyzed from cellulase. With the conversion ratio as the index, the effects of pH value, temperature, reaction time, dosage of enzyme and concentration of substrates on the conversion ratio were detected. L9 (3(4)) orthogonal design was adopted to optimize the preparation process. Hydrolyzed products were identified by MS, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR. The results showed that the optimum reaction conditions for the enzymatic hydrolysis were that the temperature was 50 degrees C, the reaction medium was pH 5.6 acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer solution, the concentration of substrates was 20 g x L(-1), the mass ratio between enzyme and substrate was 3: 5, and the relative molecular mass of the reaction product was 646.23. NMR data proved that the product was sagittatoside B. The process is simple and reliable under mild reaction conditions, thus suitable for industrial production.

In this paper, the action of suet oil in the preparation of self-assembled micelles of the active flavonoids in Epimedium in the simulated human environment was researched. Twelve suet oil samples were collected from different growing areas and different positions of sheep or goat to simulate the formation of micelles. Then the effects of the fatty acids in suet oil on the preparation of self-assembled micelles were studied furthermore. The results showed that the micelles had a dispersed state and spherical smooth surface. To compare the diameter, potential, encapsulation efficiency and drug loading of the 12 batches micelles, the micelles prepared by the suet oil from Qinghai were more stable and had a higher encapsulation efficiency. The fatty acids in suet oil could promote the formation of self-assembled micelles, but the whole suet oil had a better effect. Above all the study, we confirmed that the suet oil promoted the formation of self-assembled micelles of the flavonoids in Epimedium, it laid foundation for further research about increasing the efficacy of Epimedium and improved the absorption of the active flavonoids in Epimedium.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(21):-
Objective To study the effect of shenfu injection on the neuron apoptosis in hippocampal CA1 region of newborn with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD).Methods The experiment included 2 parts. One was to measure the apoptosis rate by the flow cytometry, and the other was to investigate the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax of neurons in left hippocampal CA1 region.Models of postnatal 7-day Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats with HIBD were established, and were equally divided into 4 groups:sham operation(group S),control group(group C),shenfu injection pretreatment(group P),and shenfu injection treatment(group SF).The neuron apoptosis rate in hippocampal CA1 region in every group was measured at 2 h before and 2,12,24 h,3,7,14 and 28 d after hypoxic ischemic(HI) insult. The expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax were performed by immunohisochemistry. Results The apoptosis of neuron in hippocampal CA1 region in group P and group SF after HI insult was significantly less than that of group C(P

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most popular diseases that cause menstrual dysfunction and infertility in women. The present paper is a brief retrospection on the progress in treatment of PCOS caused infertility with integrative Chinese and Western medicine (ICWM). It can be seen from these materials that using traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) recipes formulated by Shen-replenishing herbs or acupuncture to reinforce Gan-Shen, regulate Chong-Ren Channels in treating PCOS, stable clinical efficacy could be obtained, with less adverse reaction, though the effect initiated somewhat late. Whereas, when Shen-replenishing recipe and acupuncture are combined with hormone or ovulation promoting drugs of Western medicine, the above-mentioned shortcomings would be overcome. So, this combined therapy is frequently used in clinical practice.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2009;29(1):29-31
Numerous interpolation-based methods have been described for reducing metal artifacts in CT images, but due to the limit of the interpolation methods, interpolation alone often fails to meet the clinical demands. In this paper, we describe the use of quartic polynomial interpolation in reconstruction of the images of the metal implant followed by linear interpolation to eliminate the streaks. The two interpolation methods are combined according to their given weights to achieve good results.

Chinese journal of integrative medicine 2011;17(3):235-240
Treating diabetes mellitus (DM) with Chinese medicine (CM) has had a few thousands years of history. Past Chinese medical texts had already recorded numerous medicinal herbs as well as recipes for treating DM and accumulated much clinical experience. In the following article, the prevention of DM using CM in the past 5 years is retrospectively studied, and mainly focuses on the usage of simple Chinese herbal extracts or monomers in terms of cellular as well as molecular biology.
