Objective To observe the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) at different frequency on post-stroke pharyngeal dysphagia.Methods Forty-five stroke survivors with pharyngeal dysphagia were randomly divided into treatment group 1,treatment group 2 and treatment group 3,eachof 15 patients.Patients in the treatment group 1,2 and 3 received NMES once,twice and three times a day respectively.All the 3 groups were given conventional swallowing training.The swallowing function classification was conducted before treatment,as well as 1,2 and 4 weeks after the treatment.Before and 2 weeks after the treatment,X-ray examination of swallowing (VFSS) was taken to assess the swallowing function,and the average treating days of the 3 groups were compared.Results The swallowing function classification showed that in treatment group 1 and 2,significant improvement was observed at this time point than that at the previous time point (P＜0.05).In treatment group 3,after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment,significant improvement was found compared to those previously,but there was no difference between after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment.At the same time points,the treatment group 2 and 3 showed higher efficiency than the group 1 (P＜0.05).And compared with the treatment group 2,the treatment group 3 showed higher efficiency after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment (P＜0.05),but there was nosignificant difference after 4 weeks of treatment.Two weeks after the treatment,the average VFSS scores of all groups were significantly higher than those before the treatment (P＜0.05) and that of treatmentgroup 2 (7.600± 1.793) and 3 (8.900± 1.636) was significantly higher than that in treatment group 1 (6.700±1.873),as was that of group 3 compared to group 2.Compared with the treatment group 1 and 2,the average treatment days decreased significantly in treatment group 3 (P＜0.05).Conclusion NMES is effective in treating pharyngeal dysphagia after stroke.And within a certain range (1 to 3 times every day),with the increasing of daily treatment frequency,the effectismore significant and the average time of treatment shortens.

Objective To investigate the levels of cystatin C (CC) with the H&Y scale and duration of Pakinson's disease(PD)patients.Methods The study consists of 432 PD patients and 513 control subjects.PD patients were divided into 3 subgroups according to their H&Y scale.The levels of CC and Scr were measured.The statistics analysis was used to evaluate their associations.Results In PD and control groups, CC concentrations were significantly different (P ＜ 0.05), and Scr concentrations in two study groups were not significantly different(P ＞ 0.05).PD in each subgroup, CC concentrations in the medium group were significantly higher than the early and control groups, and CC in the late group was significantly higher than the other two subgroups.Rank correlation analysis and comparison of CC concentration and duration and H&Y score showed that CC concentration was positively correlated with the duration of PD(r =0.209, P ＜0.01), and that CC concentration and H&Y score were significantly positively correlated (r =0.618, P ＜0.01).Conclusions There was a certain correlation between CC levels and PD, and CC levels of PD patients were significantly higher.There was no significant increased CC in the initial stages of the disease, perhaps CC was not necessary cause of the onset of PD.However, the level of CC with H&Y stage and duration were positively correlated, perhaps CC may be involved in the process of disease progression, because high level of CC may increase PD patient's condition.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum Angiopoietin-1 ( Ang-1 ) level and the onset, the severity and the prognosis at 90 d of acute cerebral infarction.Methods The level of serum Ang-1 was measured in 132 acute cerebral infarction patients ( case group ) and 108 healthy controls ( control group ) .The relevant clinical data was also collected.NIHSS was assessed at admission.The severity of the condition was defined according to the NIHSS score.NIHSS score <5, 5 -15 and ≥16 were defined as minor, moderate and severe condition, respectively.mRS was assessed at 90 d after admission.mRS≤2 was defined as good outcome and otherwise defined as poor outcome.Results Compared with control group, proportion of patients who had a history of smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and atrial fibrillation were significant higher, serum Ang-1 concentration was significant lower ( all P<0.05 ) .Logistic analysis showed that serum Ang-1 level and a history of diabetes mellitus were associated with the occurrence of acute cerebral infarction ( all P<0.01 ) .The serum Ang-1 level in minor, moderate and severe condition patients was (1.12 ±0.35) ng/ml, (0.96 ±0.39) ng/ml and (0.76 ±0.49) ng/ml.There were significant differences among them ( P=0.003) .There was a significant relationship between the severity and the serum Ang-1 level ( r=-0.267, P=0.002 ) .Compared with good outcome patients, the poor outcome patients had significant higher NIHSS score and higher proportion of a history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, atrial fibrillation, and lower serum Ang-1 concentration ( all P<0.05 ) .NIHSS score and serum Ang-1 concentration at admission had a significant relationship with 90 d outcome of acute cerebral infarction patients ( all P<0.01) .Conclusion Serum Ang-1 level was lower in acute cerebral infarction patients and it had significant relationship with the onset, severity and 90 d outcome of acute cerebral infaration.

Objective To evaluate the application effect of quality control circle on reducing the defect rate of health education in perioperative period of gynecologic surgery patients. Methods To carry out quality control circle activities, analysis of gynecological surgery patients in perioperative health education defect rate to the cause, the development of countermeasures, to achieve the purpose of continuous quality improvement. Results Before implementation health defects rate was 43.3%(303/700), after the implementation health education defect rate was 11.4%(223/1 950). The health defects rate before and after the implementation showed significant difference (χ2=8.387, P=0.004). The incidence of anxiety before and after the implementation was 11.8%(23/195) and 4.1%(8/195), the difference was significantly different (χ2=7.885, P =0.005). Conclusions To carry out the quality circle activity, can effectively reduce the perioperative health education defect rate and improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction, method is simple and easy to operate, it is worth clinical promotion.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of Bushen huoxue cupailuan decoction on clinical effects and related index-es of infertility induced by polycystic ovary syndrome. METHODS:A total of 120 cases of polycystic ovary syndrome of kidney de-ficiency and blood stasis selected from our hospital were divided into observation group and control group according to random num-ber table,with 60 cases in each group. From the 5th day of menstruation,control group was given Clomiphene citrate capsules 50 mg,qd;observation group was given 200 mL of Bushen huoxue cupailuan decoction,morning and night. Atreatment course lasted for 3 menstrnal cycle,both groups were treated for 1-2 courses. The number of follicles,endometrial thickness,ovarian volume and serum hormone levels (INS,LH,FSH,PRL,T,E2) were observed in 2 groups before and after treatment. The pregnancy rate were compared between 2 groups after treatment. RESULTS:Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in the num-ber of follicles,endometrial thickness,ovarian volume or serum hormone levels between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,the number of follicles,endometrial thickness and ovarian volume in 2 groups were all increased;the improvement of observation group was better than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). After treatment,the levels of FSH and E2 in 2 groups were increased significantly;the level of serum hormone in observation group was significantly better than control group,with sta-tistical significance(P<0.05). The pregnancy rate of observation group was 63.33%,which was significantly higher than 46.67%of control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Bushen huoxue cupailuan decoction can effectively im-prove serum hormone lever,ovary condition and pregnancy rate in the infertility patients induced by polycystic ovary syndrome.

Objective To explore the value of the combined detection of four tumor markers of serum CA125,CA153,CA199 and CEA in the diagnosis of epithelial ovarian carcinoma(EOC).Methods The serum levels of CA125,CA153,CA199 and CEA were detected before operation in 54 cases of ovarian cancer and 68 cases of ovarial benign lesion and 55 healthy women as the con-trol group,by using chemiluminescent immunoassay(CLIA).The statistical software SPSS 13.0 and MedCalc 10.4.0.0 were used to retrospectively analyze the results.Results The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of the single index detection and the com-bined detection were calculated.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of CA125 were 96.3%,64.7% and 78.7% respectively, which were higher than other single index′s.In the combine detection,the sensitivity and accuracy of the combined detection of CA125 and CA153 were 99.1% and 79.5% respectively,which were higher than those in the optimal single index CA125 and the other combined detection(P <0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of CA125 and CA153 is superior to the CA125 single in-dex detection in the diagnostic value for EOC.

Antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) is an important means to clinical microbiology. At present, there are no standard AST methods for aquatic pathogens comparing with human and veterinary pathogens. We reviewed the recent research progress on establishing these methods and discussed the key factors in AST of aquatic pathogens. Furthermore the defect of AST of aquatic pathogens in China was profiled and prospect for further research was put forward.
