1.Relationship between serum matrix metalloproteinase-9 and carotid atherosclerosis in type 2 Diabetes
Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(5):499-501
Objective To investigated the relationship between serum matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) and carotid atherosclerosis(AS) in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 93 patients with T2DM were recruited to our study. The intima-media thickness(IMT) and plaques of carotid artery were measured. These patients were divided into 3 groups according to their IMT values: diabetes mellitus(DM) group(n=32),carotid artery intima thicken group(n=31) and carotid artery intima plaque group(n=30).At the same time,30 healthy individuals were selected as control.Serum level of MMP-9 were determined and analyzed. Results The serum MMP-9 in DM group was significantly higher than that in healthy controls([550.26±269.28]μg/L vs.[359.70±215.62]μg/L,t=2.23,P<0.05).The serum MMP-9 level of intima thicken group(712.15±340.47)μg/L was significantly higher than that in healthy controls(t=4.53,P<0.01) and DM group(t=2.40,P<0.05).The serum MMP-9 level of plaque group([889.08±247.80]μg/L) was even more significantly higher than DM group(t=4.89,P<0.01),IMT group(t=2.53,P<0.05) and healthy controls(t=7.01,P<0.01).Conclusion The severity of carotid atherosclerosis in T2DM is closely associated with the serum MMP-9 level.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of relinqing granule on patients with chronic prostatitis of damp-heat type.METHODS:200patients with chronic prostatitis of damp-heat type were divided into treatment group(relinqing granule+norfloxacin capsules)and control group(norfloxacin capsules)at random.RESULTS:The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were92%and52%(P
3.Crystallin and congenital cataract
Chinese Ophthalmic Research 2009;27(12):1154-1157
Congenital cataract is responsible for approximately one tenth of childhood blindness worldwide.Generally, cataract includes three inheriting types:autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive or X-linked.The identified genes so far for hereditary cataracts in both human and animal model mainly include encoding structural lens protein, gap junction protein, membrane protein and regulatory protein involved in lens development.Crystallins are the major structural protein of the lens.Mutation in the crystallin genes can result in lens opacity.Understanding of the mechanism of hereditary cataract may also be helpful for us to understand the involvement of environmental and nutritional factors in the process of lens opacification. The function of the crystallins proteins, the mutations in crystallin genes and associated phenotypes are summarized.

Journal of Environment and Health 1989;0(06):-
Mycobacterium tuberculosis L-forms(MTB-L), which has a deficient cell wall, shows various forms, various colors by acid-fast stain, osmosis pressure sensitivity and can not grow in normal isotonic culture medium, for all of the characters, misdiagnosis, underdiagnosis, difficulties of cure and recurrence became the crucial problems in the prevention and control of pulmonary tuberculosis. The recent research works on structure, biology, clinic, epidemiology and determination of MTB-L were reviewed in the present paper.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
The scavenging effects of Total Flavonoids of Hippophae ( TFH ) were studied by using ESR-spin trapping technique in different systems, and the inhibitery effects on chemiluminescence ( CL ) of poly-morphonuclear leukocytes ( PMN) were measured by using luminol-de-pendent CL. TFH ( 1.7mg/L ) significantly reduced the active oxygen radicals level of PMA-stimulated PMN; TFH ( 0.03-3mg/L ) could remarkably scavenged O2 in xanthine/xanthine oxidase (Xan/XO)system and the effect was concentration-dependent. The scavenging effect of TFH on O2 in irradiation riboflavin system was not so strong as in Xan/XO system. TFH ( 3 mg/L ) could scavenged OH produced in Fenton's reaction; TFH ( 1 mg/L ) effectively inhibited PMN CL stimulated by PMA.The effects of TFH on active oxygen radicals produced by PMN and O2 in Xan/XO system were stronger than Vit E.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(09):-
To investigate the relationship between the diameter of abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA) and the concentration of elastin, forty five healthy male Wistar rats were selected,5 rats of them were used as normal control, the other 40 rats were randomly divided into 2 groups. A 1 cm segment of the abdominal aorta of the rat was isolated and perfused with pancreatic elastase in the experimental group, and the control group was given normal saline solution. Laparotomy was performed immediately after operation and on the 2, 7, 14 day, the aortas were measured and harvested. Histological studies were carried out to analyze the changes in elastin. The aortic diameter progressed to aneurysmal dimension in the experimental group. Histological study revealed loss of elastin in tunica media of the aorta in the experimental group. Neither macroscopic nor microscopic lesions were found in control group. It is suggested that there is a significant correlation between the aortic diameter and the decreased elastin content.

Objective To study the influences of dichloromethane extraction from crude and processed Cornus Officinalis on bone marrow cells of aging mice induced by D-galactose. Methods DNA damage of bone marrow cells of aging mice induced by D-galactose was detected by the comet assay, the expression of p53 mRNA was detected by RT-PCR. Results The tail formation rate of model group was significantly higher than the rate of control group (P

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
The currently unfavorable physician - patient relationship has lead to a total loss of interests from multiple sides of hospitals, patients, medical staff, medical education and the society, which specifies in the wellbeing loss of patients and the whole population. The social stability has also been affected. The health care reform should aim to minimize the conflicts between doctors and patients, thus the above mentioned losses will be diminished and a harmonious physician - patient relationship will be built up and the win - win pattern of benefits between doctors and patients will also be realized.Multiple efforts from the government, society, hospitals, medical staff, and patients are all needed to achieve such a goal.
