Objective To study the effect of hype rt hermia on cytokines of VX_2 carcinoma bearing rabbits. Method Forty healthy male rabbits were randoml y divided into heat therapy group and control group. Rabbits in heat therapy gro up underwent hyperthermia 11 days after inoculated with VX_2 cells. IL-2, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and insulinlike growth factor (IGF) were measured b efore and after heat therapy. Results In heat therapy group survival was prolonged for 15 days. IL-2 d ecreased gradually from (134?6)ng/ml before heat therapy, (81?7)ng/ml one week after, (61.8?2.0)ng/ml at 3 weeks, and (54.8?2.6)ng/ml at 4 weeks along with an increase of TNF and IGF (4.5?0.9)ng/ml, and ( 96?28)ng/ml; (7.6?1.8)ng/ml and (678?183)ng/ml; (15.1?3 .0)ng/ml and (991?108)ng/ml; (17.2?2.1)ng/ml and (1136?89 )ng/ml respectively at the corresponding time period. Conclusion Heat therapy is effective for the tre atment of superficial tumors probably through a mechanism of antigen-antibody r eaction.

Objective To investigate the relationship between chronic prostatitis and the coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS),and to study the diagnostic value and clinical significance of CNS in expressed prostatic secretion (EPS). Methods Overall,428 patients with chronic prostatitis were included in this study.Their mean age was 31 years (range,18 to 46 years).The mean cause was 6 months (range,3 to 32 months).The mean NIH-CPSI score was 23.2.Bacterial culture and antimicrobial agent sensitivity test were applied to samples from the 428 patients.The samples were taken with 4 tubes from the lower urinary tract segmented by Meares-Stamey method. Results Bacteria were found in 248 patients (57.94%) out of 428 ones.Gram-positive bacteria were found in 195 cases(78.63%).In the 195 cases,staphylococci were found in 160 cases(64.25%,160/248).CNS were found in 89 cases(35.89%,89/248),most of which were epidermidis staphylococci 81 cases(32.66%).The next were saprophytic staphylococci 3 cases and hemolytic staphylococci 2 cases.There was no correlation between NIH-CPSI score and bacterial culture results.The sensitivity test results showed the rate of drug resistance of CNS from EPS was high for ?-lactamases,quinolones and aminoglycosides(51.9% to 100%). Conclusions The results suggest that CNS is a main kind of pathogen of chronic prostatitis,so considerable attention should be paid to it.In addition,it is of significant importance to apply bacterial culture and sensitivity test in EPS to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic prostatitis.

Objective:To investigate esomeprazole combined with early enteral nutrition on the immune function and intestinal flo-ra in the elderly by patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods:Totally 78 elderly by patients with severe acute pancreatitis were selected and randomly divided into the observation group (39 cases) and the control group (39 cases). The control group was treated with early enteral nutrition therapy, and the observation group was treated with esomeprazole additionally. The treatment course was 14 days. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher that of the control group (P<0. 05). The abdominal pain relief time, recovery time of bowel sounds, abdominal distension relief time, and the time of serum amylase returning to normal and u-rine amylase returning to normal in the observation group were all better than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The incidence of intestinal flora disorders in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0. 05). After the treatment, CD3+, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ increased in both groups (P<0. 05), and those in the observation group were higher than those in the con-trol group (P<0. 05). Serum amylase and urine amylase decreased in both groups after the treatment (P<0. 05), and the decrease in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0. 05). No serious adverse drug reactions appeared in both groups. Conclusion:Esomeprazole combined with early enteral nutrition in the elderly by patients with severe acute pancreatitis shows significant effect, and the effect may be related with improving the immune function and intestinal flora.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of intraperitoneal perfusion of IL-2 combined with Addi injection for ascites re-growth control after decompression of abdominal compartment syndrome induced by malignant ascites.Methods 69 patients with abdominal compartment syndrome induced by malignant ascites,after tube decompression and paracentesis,were given intraperitoneal perfusion therapy,and they were randomly divided into two groups.42 cases in the observation group were given with 0.9％ sodium chloride injection 50mL + IL-23 millions u and Addie injection 50-60mL,once a week,a total of 2-3 times;27 cases in the control group were given with 0.9％ sodium chloride injection 50mL and cisplatin 40mg,once a week,a total of 1-3 times.Results In the observation group,CR 25 cases (59.5％),PR 11 cases (26.2％),NC 6 cases (14.3％),the total effective achieved in 36 cases (85.7％).In the control group,CR 11 cases (40.7％),PR 6 cases (22.2％),NC 10 cases (37.0％),the total effective achieved in 17 cases (62.96％).The effective rate of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group,there was statistically significant difference(x2 =4.78,P ＜ 0.05).The qualities of life of the observation group were improved,8 cases were stable,lower in 2 cases,the effective rate was 76.2％,which of the control group were improved,10 cases were stable,lower in 4 cases,the effective rate was 48.1％.The effective rate of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group,there was statistically significant difference (x2 =5.70,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Intraperitoneal perfusion of IL-2 combined with Addi injection for ascites control after decompression of abdominal compartment syndrome induced by malignant ascites is a new method,which is worthy of clinical application.

Objective Due to poor effects of sterilization,low efficiency and inconvenience of field emergency transportation for portable exhaust pressure steam sterilizer,we aimed to design and develop a portable pulse vacuum pressure steam sterilizer in order to effectively improve quality and efficiency of sterilization for sterile medical equipment in disaster and emergency medical treatment.Methods From the beginning of February 2013,we focused on the features of small size,light weight,reliable sterilizing effect and fast speed of sterilization,and conducted series of technology researches,and finally developed portable pulse vacuum pressure steam sterilizer which was suitable for individual carrying or air delivery.Results We performed outdoor sterilization tests for portable vacuum pressure steam sterilizer and portable exhaust pressure steam sterilizer under the same condition.Portable pulse vacuum pressure steam sterilizer achieved a 100％ qualification rate,average sterilization cycle was 28.6min per time,sterilization by weight was 48L/h,average water consumption was 0.4L/boiler,average power consumption was 0.7kw/h per time,and sterilization operation index,maneuverability and transportability were significantly better than those of portable exhaust pressure steam sterilizer.Conclusion The developed 4 portable pulse vacuum pressure steam sterilizer have higher cost performance,and have been successfully applied for medical service training and non-war medical treatment activities in our hospital.

Objective To explore the clinical value of procalcitonin (PCT ) and blood culture in the united diagnosis of early blood stream infection .Methods The blood specimens of 625 patients were collected ,the serum level of PCT was detected by EL‐FA ,and the blood culture was accessed at the same time .23 cases of blood culture positive samples were received continuous detec‐tion of PCT ,and the results were analyzed .Results Positive rate of PCT was 41 .01% (0 .05 -2 .58 μg/L)in patients with blood culture negative results (negative group) ,and that in patients with blood culture positive results (positive group) was 80 .77%(0 .05-200 .00 μg/L) .The positive rate of PCT in positive group was significantly higher than negative group (χ2 =65 .12 ,P<0 .01) .Positive rates of PCT in patients with infection of Candida tropicalis ,kinds of bacteria ,Gram‐negative bacilli and Gram‐posi‐tive cocci were 100 .00% ,100 .00% ,92 .11% and 56 .81% ,respectively .Continuous detection of PCT in 23 patients with blood cul‐ture positive results showed that patients with gradually decreased PCT level suggested a good prognosis ,and patients whose PCT levels were higher than 10 μg/L and were maintained at high levels had poor prognosis .Conclusion Simultaneously blood culture and PCT detection was important to the early diagnosis and treatment of blood stream infection .

Objective To evaluate the bonding condition of hydroxyapatite (HA)/zirconia ( ZrO2 ) composite and bone interface and the ability of HA/ZrO2 in repair of bone defects.Methods Bone defect models were established in the lumbar vertebral body of 24 Beagle dogs and were implanted with HA/ZrO2 gradient composite (Group A ),HA/ZrO2 unilayer composite (Group B ),pure ZrO2 (Group C) and pure HA (Group D) successively.Dogs were sacrificed and lumbar vertebral specimens were harvested 6,12,16 weeks postoperatively and before the sacrifice at postoperative 6 and 12 weeks,the dogs were intramuscularly administered of quadracycline for fluorescence labeling.The interface bonding and repair of bone defects were observed through X-ray films,histomorphology and biomechanical test.Results The X-ray films displayed that the Group A achieved more formation of osteotylus and better repair of bone defects with the extension of the implantation period,followed by the Groups B and D and that the Group C had relatively worse results.Histomorphology study showed that the fluorescence labeling was enhanced gradually from 6 to 12 weeks in the Group A,with its growth from the edge of the implanted material to the inner part and its tight adhesion to the material,indicating active osteogenesis and massive bone formation.While the fluorescence labeling of the Groups B,C and D centered in the edge of implanted materials without presence in the material inner part.The mineralization rate of the four materials at 6 and 12 weeks had significant differences ( P ＜ 0.05).Synostosis rates at 6,12 and 16 weeks were the highest in the Group A,with the rate of up to (90.26 ±3.82) ％ at 16 weeks (P ＜0.05 ).Biomechanical test showed the maximum shear strengths at 6,12,16 weeks in the Group A were (2.64±0.16) MPa,(2.95 ±0.19) MPa and (3.45 ±0.23) MPa respectively (P＜0.05).Conclusion HA/ZrO2gradient biocomposite bonds well with the bone and possesses good repair ability for bone defects and hence is an ideal novel material for bone defect reconstruction.

Objective To investigate effects of isoflurane anesthesia of different time interval on acute injury of brain function in neonatal rats with consistent total time of isoflurane anesthesia. Methods Seven-day neonatal Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into normal control group (breathe the air), continuous anesthesia group (a single 6-hour exposure to 1.5% isoflurane), and intermittent anesthesia 1 day and 3 days groups (three times of 2-hour exposure to anesthesia with an interval of 1 day or 3 days), 12 rats in each group. The ratio of male to female was 5:7. They underwent the test of learning and memory in the radial arm maze (RAM) 21 days after birth, twice a day for 4 days. The number of entry into wrong arms, number of repeated errors, number of total arm entries, and time for completing the task were recorded for evaluation of effect of neonatal isoflurane on cognitive behavior in rats. Results ① Compared with normal control group, the percentage of number of errors > 3 in anesthesia of 3-day interval group was significantly decreased (33.3% vs. 46.9%, P < 0.05), the percentages of repeated errors > 0 and total arm entries > 8 were significantly increased (33.3% vs. 18.8%, 27.1% vs. 13.5%, both P < 0.05), but there were no statistically significant difference in the percentage of mistake number > 3 between continuous anesthesia group, interval anesthesia 1-day group and the normal control group (44.8%, 44.8% vs. 46.9%), the percentages of number of repeated mistake > 0 and total arm entries > 8 in above three groups were slightly increased as compared with those of normal control group (27.1%, 22.9% vs. 18.8%, 20.8%, 21.9% vs. 13.5%, all P > 0.05). No statistical differences in completing the task among normal control group, continuous anesthesia group, interval anesthesia 1 day and 3 days groups were found (minutes: 1.32±0.91, 1.54±1.05, 1.46±0.86, 1.38±0.79, all P > 0.05). ② It was found by gender analysis that the percentages number of repeated errors > 0 and total arm entries > 8 were significantly lower in female rats than those in the male rats only in normal control group (5.0% vs. 28.6%, P < 0.01; 5.0% vs. 19.6%, P < 0.05). There was no obvious gender difference in exposed groups. ③ Compared between groups of female rats, the percentages of repeated mistake > 0 in continuous anesthesia group, interval anesthesia 1 day and 3 days groups (25.0%, 25.0%, 30.0% vs. 5.0%, P < 0.05 or P < 0.01) and the percentage of total arm entries > 8 in interval anesthesia 1 day and 3 days groups were significantly higher than that of normal control group (22.5%, 25.0% vs. 5.0%, both P < 0.05). No significant difference about the RAM task in male rats of all the four groups was found. Conclusions Different time interval of neonatal isoflurane exposure may develop certain degree of acute brain injury in rats, characterized by cognitive function. Prolongation of the interval time significantly enhanced long-term memory in rats. Multiple neonatal exposures to isoflurane were associated with greater cognitive impairment than a single exposure. In addition, isoflurane can significantly increase cognitional functional disorder in the female, not in the male rats.
