Objective: To develop the norm of Piers-Harris Children's Self-concept Scale (PHCSS) in Chinese urban children and test the reliability and validity. Method: A total of 1698 children with the mean age 12?3 year-old (846 boys and 852 girls) from 20 cities in China completed the scale. Results: The test-retest reliability, split-half and Crobach were in 0.695～0.858, the correlation between each item score and total score were in 0.078～0.467, showed better item differentiation except for 3 items. The validity was perfect, represented by significant correlation (r=0.051～0.353) between the score and Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire and Teacher Rating Scale. Conclusion: The results demonstrate the scale are suitable for demands of psychometrics and applicable in Chinese children.

Objective To observe the mammographic appearance of accessory breast tissue in the axilla. Methods In the past 3 years, 7 562 women were underwent bilateral screen-film mammography. All of the mediolateral oblique(MLO) films were reviewed retrospectively to look for whether there was accessory breast tissue and what the mammographic features were like. Radiographically the accessory tissue resembled the main normal breast glandular tissue but was separated from it. Results Of the 7562 cases, accessory breast tissue in the axilla was detected in 161 cases. The prevalence was 2%. The age ranged from 17 to 70 years (mean, 39 years). 38% of them were found in the bilateral axilla, 42% only in the right, and 20% only in the left. The dimensions on the right ranged from 0.7 to 8.0 cm (mean, 3.5 cm), and that on the left ranged from 1.0 to 7.0 cm (mean, 3.3 cm). There were four types among the accessory breast tissue: patchy type was the most (35%), then the branched type(26%),mixed type(20%), and mass-like type(19%). 3 cases were proved by pathology. Conclusion It is important that the radiologist be familiar with the mammographic appearance of accessory breast tissue in the axilla in order that they could be distinguished from other pathological changes.

Objective Effect of provenance on seed biological characteristics and seedling growth in Glycyrrhiza uralensis was studied to indicate the important role of provenance in standardization production of traditional Chinese medicinal materials.Methods Indexes such as 1 000-seed weight,water content,seed capsule penetration,germination percentage,and germination potency of the seeds from various resources were determined by general ways.Growth indexes of young seedling and one-year seedling were determined.Results Between Shanghaimiao provenance and Bayinwusu provenance,1 000-seed weight of G.uralensis in Shanghaimiao was bigger,which was 12.3 mg for the former and 11.7 mg for the latter;water penetration of seed capsule was stronger in Bayinwusu and conductance rate was twice as much as it in Shanghaimiao.Shanghaimiao seed bearing storage and seed vigor were stronger and hard seed rate was higher.Germination percentage and germination potency of untreated seed in Bayinwusu was higher than that of Shanghaimiao,but lower after treatment.Germination percentage and germination potency of smaller seeds was the highest between the two different provenances in both the untreated and treated seeds.In growth indexes of two provenances,young seedling got a significant and the most significant difference.Growth index in Shanghaimiao was higher a little,which didn't get to an obvious level.Conclusion The provenances have an effect on physical characteristics,seed capsule penetration,and germination properties;provenance and seed size have an obvious effect on young seedling growth but have not any effect on one-year seedling growth and biomass.

Objective To address medical relief algorithm in earthquake center by analyzing triage and transfer of casualties in the quake-hit center Yingxiu town in the wake of the 5·12 Wenchuan earthquake.Method According to the actual hard working conditions and rule of CBASHPLAN,the locale was derided into triage area,minor wounds area,severe wounds area and transfer area.Medical team coming from Soulhwest Hospital,the Third Military Medical University was derided into several groups. Triage, treatment and transfer of casualties well arranged. Results A total of 415 victims was treated by our medical team in early three days.Of these victims,251 were severe injuned,153 were debrided,12 were decompression with cutting open the wound because of their oseofascial canpartment syndrome,and 317 casualties were transferred by helicopters.No victim died during treatment and transfer at quake-stricken region.The whole work was proceeded in good order and efficiently.Conclusions Triage and transfer of casualties scientifically allowing for the capability of medical relief and the sufficiency of medical resources are very important to deal with batches of casualties in quake-stricken region.

Objective To assess the val ue of 18-fluorodeoxy glucose (~18F-FDG) positron emission tomography( PE T)-CT in the detection of malignant bone metastases. Methods Thirty-five out of 332 patients, 89 lesions were detected on ~18 F-FDG PET-CT and were interpreted separately on PET, combined CT, and fused PE T-CT images. Results Of the 89 lesions detected on PET- CT images, 68 were malignant and 21 were benign lesions. PET alone identified 62 malignant lesions and 17 benign lesions. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificit y, and accuracy of PET alone for diagnosis of bone metastases were 91.2% (62/68) , 81.0% (17/21), and 88.8% (79/89), respectively. The combined CT alone identifi ed 55 malignant lesions and 16 benign lesions. The diagnostic sensitivity, s pecificity, and accuracy of combined CT alone were 80.9% (55/68), 76.2% (16/21), and 79.8% (71/89), respectively. The fused PET-CT images identified 64 maligna nt and 19 benign lesions. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the fused PET-CT were 94.1% (64/68), 90.5% (19/21), and 93.2% (83/89), respe ctively. Conclusion In the diagnosis of bone metastases, ~18F-FDG PET-CT imaging reduces the false positive rate and increases the specificity. ~18F-FDG PET-CT imaging is helpful in the differentiation o f bone metastases from benign lesions.

ObjectiveTo investigate the CT findings of thymic epithelial tumors (TETs).Methods The CT images of 133 cases with TETs confirmed pathologically were reviewed retrospectively.The TETs were reclassified according to WHO 2004 Classification System.The CT features of different histopathological types of TETs were analyzed.The frequencies of demonstrating these CT features were compared between different types using Chi-square exact test.ResultsType A(9/10,90.0％),AB(15/17,88.2％),B1 (10/13,76.9％ ),and B2( 31/46,67.4％ ) tumors were more likely to have spherical or oval shapes and smooth contours on CT.TETs with irregular or lobular contours were mostly seen in type B3 (21/30,70.0％ )and thymic carcinoma (15/17,88.2％ ).TETs with cyst and necrosis formation were common in type A(6/10,60％ ),B3 ( 19/30,63.3％ ) and thymic carcinoma ( 15/17,88.2％ ).Calcification was more frequently seen in type B2 and B3 (32/76,42.1％ ) than any other type ofTETs (8/57,14.0％ ;x2 =12.20,P ＜ 0.01 ).Type A,AB,B3 and thymic carcinoma had higher prevalence of significant enhancement (39/74,52.7％) than type B1 and B2 (8/57,13.6％;x2=22.01,P＜0.01).ConclusionAccording to WHO 2004 histologic classification system,different types of TET have corresponding CT features.CT has showed the potentiality in differentiating histological subtypes of TETs.

Objective: To evaluate risk factors for delayed gastric emptying(DGE)following pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD). Methods: There were 492 consecutive patients who underwent PD in Pancreas Center, the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University between January 2012 and December 2014 were identified from a prospective database.There were 315 male and 177 female patients with a median age of 60.5 years.Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to investigate the independent risk factors for clinically relevant DGE(CR-DGE). Results: The overall incidence of DGE was 29.5%, with Grade B and C occurring at 4.3% and 5.9%, respectively.In multivariate analysis, pancreatic duct diameter less than 3 mm(OR=1.888, P=0.042), pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy(OR=2.627, P=0.005) and clinically relevant postoperative pancreatic fistula(OR=2.740, P=0.007) were independently associated with CR-DGE.Other main complications such as postoperative pancreatic fistula, pyoperitoneum, intraabdominal infection were also associated with the severity of DGE(χ²=21.360, 14.422, 14.378; P=0.011, 0.002, 0.002). DGE patients had a significantly prolonged postoperative length of stay(31(24-41)d vs. 13(11-17)d) and increased medical cost((122 367.5±66 068.3)yuan vs. (78 200.7±27 043.9)yuan)(both P<0.01). Conclusions Small pancreatic duct, underwent pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy and suffered postoperative pancreatic fistula might indicate a high risk of CR-DGE.

Objective:To explore the application effect of progressive case teaching method based on core competency in standardized nursing training.Methods:A total of 63 nursing students rotated in department of neurosurgery from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects and randomized into experimental group ( n=31) and control group ( n=32). The experimental group adopted the progressive case teaching method based on core competency, and the control group adopted the conventional teaching mode. The data was analyzed using SPSS 26.0 to conduct t-test or non-parametric test based on the data normality for comparing the theory results, objective structure clinical examination (OSCE) scores, core competency, self-directed learning ability scores, teaching satisfaction and nursing satisfaction of patients in two wards between the two groups. Results:The theoretical results ( t=4.74, P<0.001) and OSCE scores ( t=3.81, P<0.001) of the experimental group were better than those of the control group. The scores of core competency and autonomous learning ability ( t=4.32, P<0.001) of the experimental group were better than those of the control group. The teaching satisfaction score ( t=2.21, P=0.044) and patient satisfaction score ( t=2.92, P=0.011) of the observation group were better than those of the control group. Conclusion:The progressive case teaching method based on core competency can improve the post competency of nurses, and also improve the teaching satisfaction rate and patient satisfaction rate, which is worthy of being carried out in the subsequent teaching activities.

Objective:To compare the short-term outcomes and long-term survivals of radical antegrade modular pancreatosplenectomy(RAMPS) and conventional distal pancreatectomy(CDP).Methods:A total of consecutive 304 patients including 176 male patients and 128 female patients who underwent RAMPS or CDP at Pancreas Center, the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University from May 2013 to June 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The median age was 64.1 years old (range:39 to 85 years old). There were 101 patients underwent RAMPS and 203 patients underwent CDP. Measurement data with skewed distribution were presented as ( M( Q R)) and comparison between groups was evaluated with the Wilcoxon rank sum test. Count data were analyzed using the χ 2 test or Fisher exact probability. Survival analyses were performed by the Kaplan-Meier method after a one to one propensity score matching(PSM) conducted to balance several variables. Results:An eighty-one to eighty-one patients were enrolled after PSM. The overall morbidity was 32.1%(26/81)and there were no in-hospital mortalities in RAMPS. The median operative time was 225(95)minutes in RAMPS, not significantly longer as compared with CDP(210(130)minutes, P=0.916). The median greatest tumor diameter in RAMPS was 4.0(2.3)cm, not significantly larger as compared with CDP(4.5(2.2)cm, P=0.520).There were 34.6%(28/81)patients who presented with T4 tumors by 8 th AJCC TNM staging system in RAMPS, which was not significantly different as compared with CDP(39.5%, χ 2=0.574, P=0.902). The median number of examined lymph nodes was 9(9), not significantly greater in RAMPS as compared with CDP(10(11), P=0.992). The rate of negative posterior margins using 1 mm rule in RAMPS was 70.3%(52/74), significantly higher as compared with CDP(53.6%(30/56), χ 2=3.817, P=0.044). The overall R0 resection rate was 44.6% (33/74) in RAMPS and 37.5% (21/56) in CDP, which was not significantly different(χ 2=0.663, P=0.474). The median overall survival was 16.5 months for RAMPS, 25.2 months for CDP, and there was no statistical difference between two groups( P=0.981). The median overall survival was 16.0 months for patients with preoperative CA19-9≥300 U/ml who underwent RAMPS, 10.1 months for patients who underwent CDP, without significant difference( P=0.082). Conclusions:RAMPS can improve the rate of negative posterior margins by 1 mm rule and probably increase R0 resection rate and the harvest of lymph nodes. RAMPS may be beneficial to some patients with preoperative CA19-9≥300 U/ml.
