1.Review of semiconductor laser in medical applications
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1993;0(06):-
The application of semiconductor laser in medicine has extended rapidly with the development of its series techniques. Semiconductor laser has its own advantages, such as small body, light weight, low price and optional wavelengths. The application of semiconductor laser is limited within two fields, which covers other lasers' application fields. One is the utilization of its optic property for tissue detection and disease diagnosis, and the other is the utilization of its biological effect for disease therapy. The two kinds of application are both specified in this paper.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2015;37(5):344-347
Objective To observe the effects of computer assisted training combined with the actual environment training on vascular cognitive impairment with no dementia (VCIND) after stoke. Methods Sixty elderly patients with VCIND after stroke were randomly divided into a research group and a control group, each of 30.All patients were given routine medication and rehabilitation training, while the research group was additionally provided with computer assisted training and the actual environment training lasting two months. All patients' cognitive function and activities of daily life (ADL) in both groups were assessed using the Montreal cognitive assessment scale(MoCA) and modified Barthel index(MBI) before and after treatment. Results After two months of treatment, the total score of MoCA (22.80 ± 4.63) and the scores of seven subprojects including visual space (4.00 ± 0.93),naming (2.67±0.62),attention(4.13 ±0.74),language(2.33 ±0.62),abstract thinking(1.60± 0.83),delayed memory(2.93 ±0.70) and orientation(5.13 ± 1.19) in the research group were significantly higher than those before treatment and those of the control group. However,in the control group, only the total score and the scores of naming, language and delayed memory in the control group significantly were higher than those before treatment. After treatment, the scores of MBI in both group were significantly promoted, reaching (61.53 ± 7.13) and (52.20 ± 4.93) for the research and control group respectively, with the former improving more significantly than the latter. Conclusion The computer assisted training combined with the actual environment training helps to improve cognitive function and ADL for patients with VCIND after stoke.Such combined therapy is worth of promoting in clinical practice.

Aiming at the disadvantages of traditional medical high value consumable management mode, bar code management is the only way which must be passed to the high value consumables in hospital management under the new situation. The bar code management system development in theMilitary Medical Projectmaterials management platform, scientific optimization of high value consumables management process, fully embodies the characteristics and advantages of bar code management. Not only to achieve a one relation between the high value consumables and patients, can also be integrated management supplies out of storage, charging and the financial sector, to achieve high value. The bar code in the ID, is the only identity code high value consumables, which maintained the patient's vital interests, and ensure that the hospital infection control requirements, the high value consumables in hospital benigndynamicmanagement system.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(04):-
Objective To design a wireless monitoring system for locating oxygen supply terminals and measuring oxygen intake value of patient. Methods The locating and measuring system was built by using Mesh network of Zigbee technology and AODV algorithms based on hardware featuring MC9S08 microprocessor and MC13192.Results The oxygen supply terminals sent the location and oxygen flux information to monitoring nodes, while the monitoring server read data from all nodes in turn and save to the database. Conclusion The wireless network based on Zigbee technology can effectively monitor the utilization information about oxygen supply terminals and the value of patient oxygen intake.

In order to improve the storage and transmission efficiency of dynamic photoplethysmography (PPG) signals in the detection process and reduce the redundancy of signals, the modified adaptive matching pursuit (MAMP) algorithm was proposed according to the sparsity of the PPG signal. The proposed algorithm which is based on reconstruction method of sparse adaptive matching pursuit (SAMP), could improve the accuracy of the sparsity estimation of signals by using both variable step size and the double threshold conditions. After experiments on the simulated and the actual PPG signals, the results show that the modified algorithm could estimate the sparsity of signals accurately and quickly, and had good anti-noise performance. Contrasting with SAMP and orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP), the reconstruction speed of the algorithm was faster and the accuracy was high.

Objective To explore the effect of MICA-Ab expression on the prognosis of sensitized renal transplantation recipients. Methods A total of 51 sensitized recipients (PRA more than 20%) in our hospital from August 2007 to April 2010 were enrolled in the study. In these patients,29 cases received protein A immunoadsorption and detection of MICA-Ab was performed before and after protein A immunoadsorption.Other 22 patients received MICA-Ab detection when they were hospitalized.Associations of PRA,HLA-matches,acute rejection, and serum creatinine of postoperative week 1 and week 4 with MICA-Ab were analyzed retrospectively. Results Sixteen recipients (31.4%) had positive MICA-Ab expression but their acute rejection rate was not higher as compared to the patients with negative MICA-Ab expression.Recipients with PRA>40% showed higher expression level of MICA-Ab than recipients with PRA≤40% (P≤0.05).HLA-match did not show influence on MICA-Ab expression.MICA-Ab positive group had no higher serum creatinine level than negative group in postoperative week 4.MICA-Ab level decreased significantly after protein A immunoadsorption. Conclusions MICA-Ab expression increases in the sensitive recipients but does not influence the prognosis.Protein Aimmunoadsorption can eliminate MICA-Ab effectively in sensitized recipients.

BACKGROUND:Duchenne muscular dystrophy is recognized as a fatal X-linked recessive inheritance. It is caused by the dystrophin gene mutation, resulting in the deficiency of dystrophin and consequent degeneration and necrosis of muscle fibers gradual y. Becker muscular dystrophy is also caused by the mutation of the same gene, but presented with less severe clinical symptoms compared with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Frameshift mutation destroys the reading frames, and thus the translation cannot proceed smoothly to transcript functional proteins. In-frame mutation cannot destroy the reading frames and hence the translation can proceed smoothly. But in-frame mutation involves the whole hydrophobic regions. The three-dimensional structure of these regions and their functionality are not interpreted clearly. The effects of these regions on disease development need to be clarified in detail from the point of structure and function.
OBJECTIVE:By analyzing Kate and Dolittle scale mean hydrophobicity profile, to investigate the dystrophin hydrophobic regions using Swiss-model so as to provide the supplement explanation on the reading frame rule.
METHODS:Form 2002 to 2013, 1 038 cases diagnosed as Duchenne muscular dystrophy or Becker muscular dystrophy were col ected in the First Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in China and Leiden DMD information database was searched with deletion of codon mutation information available. The correlation between clinical types and genotypes was analyzed upon resources col ected above. The mean hydrophobicity profile of dystrophin was analyzed by Bioedit as wel as the reconstruction of hydrophobic domains using Swiss-model. Thus, the important functional domain of dystrophin was confirmed by analysis and the correlation between clinical types and genotypes.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Four hydrophobic regions were confirmed:Calponin homology domain CH2 on actin-binding domain, repeat 16 domain, Hinge Ⅲ domain and EF Hand domain. Duchenne muscular dystrophy was developed as a result of the destruction of the 1st, 2nd and 4th hydrophobic regions which were the conjunction of dystrophin and associated protein in dystrophin-glycoprotein complex. When the 3rd hydrophobic was deleted, the repeat domain located on central rob domain remained its continuity so that the clinical symptoms were less severe. These findings indicate that the dystrophin hydrophobic regions act as an important role on the pathogenesis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
