1.The development of animation courseware for medical statistics based on flash
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(03):-
This paper mainly discusses the development of animation courseware for medical statistics from the following aspects:courseware design, some related technologies in courseware making and the evaluation of courseware. The animation courseware for medical statistics can enhance self-regulated learning ability of students, from passive acceptance to initiative exploration, stimulate students'learning interest, raise their learning efficiency, and then enhance the quality of teaching.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(10):-
The authors first expound by classification the evaluation of the quality of medical service: ①curative effects and side effects; ②quality of existence; ③quality adjusted years of existence; ④cost effectiveness; ⑤appropriateness of treatment measures; ⑥satisfaction of patients. Then they discuss from the perspective of emphasizing trade style ways to guarantee the quality of medical service. These include earnestly implementing various style rectifying measures; ensuring the genuineness and reliability of hospital information; putting into effect the idea of patient oriented service; conducting synchronous evaluation of service quality and trade style; and establishing a sound mechanism for the improvement of trade style and quality evaluation.

Objective: Selecting items from item pool for the development of WHOQOL-OLD by six statistical methods. Testing the function of Cronbach ? and test-retest reliability method for item selection. Methods:Collecting data by the means of multistage sampling, two new methods based on Cronbach ? and test-retest reliability were employed to select items in view of internal consistency and stability in addition to the commonly used methods such as methods of dispersion and correlation coefficient. Results: Items selected by different methods were remained to constitute the old module of WHOQOL; items with high internal consistency or high stability were selected by methods based on Cronbach ? and test-retest reliability. Conclusion: The four commonly used methods select items from aspects of representation, independence and discrimination, while methods based on Cronbach ? and test-retest reliability select the items in view of internal consistency and stability. The two new methods are recommended together with the conventional methods in item selection.

Objective To investigate the effect of glucocorticosteroids on pulmonary oxygenation function in severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)patients. Methods Two hundred and twenty-five SARS patients in 2003 were analyzed retrospectively.Oxygenation index(OI)was considered as the marker of glucocorticosteroids therapeutic effects. The criteria of effectiveness was that OI increased 20%or more than pre-treatment.The therapeutic effects of glueocorticosteroids were analyzed by analysis of variance and chi-square test. Results Glucocorticosteroids were used in 59.6%(134/225)of SARS cases. The average OI before and after glucocorticosteroids intravenous treatment was 237.08 mm Hg and 335.08 mm Hg,respectively. The average OI increased 110.26 mm Hg(46.4%)after treatment. In 96 SARS patients whose blood gas analysis results were available,85 cases(88.5%)had administrative indication. The average OI increased 103.14 mm Hg(44.4%),which was lower than 190.91 mm Hg(66.8 0A)in patients without administrative indication. There was no significant difference between these two groups of patients. The OI difference before and after glueocorticosteroids treatment was decreased with the increasing OI before treatment, the increase was minimum in patients with OI≥300 mm Hg.Conclusions The SARS patients could obtain pulmonary symptoms and function improvements with appropriate glucoconicosteroids treatment, especially for those who are in accord with acute lung injure or acute respiratory distress syndrome, and OI less than 300 mm Hg before treatment.

OBJECTIVETo explore the application of factor analysis in creating a new health-related questionnaire for evaluating quality of life, the Chinese for Quality of Life Instrument (ChQOL).
METHODSTwo hundred and seventy-three subjects selected from two provinces of North China (Ningxia) and South China (Guangdong) were investigated by ChQOL, and the preliminary version was completed with factor analysis.
RESULTSFifty items were developed using factor analysis. The final structure model of ChQOL was confirmed through the screening and verification of factor structural model on the 78 items of ChQOL, a new questionnaire with more rational structure was confirmed.
CONCLUSIONFactor analysis is an effective method in developing new questionnaire.

Objective To investigate the hotspots and trends in research related to nanotechnology applications in sepsis from 1996 to 2023.Methods Sepsis-related nanotechnology literature was sourced from the Web of Science core databases, with key metrics like publication count, citations, and various collaborations(author, institutional, national)analyzed. The data, including co-occurring keywords, were visualized using the CiteSpace tool. Results From 1996 to 2023,a total of 1 271 publications on nanotechnology in sepsis were retrieved, demonstrating a significant increase in both studies and citations, with the annual publication rate growing from 1 in 1996 to 205 in 2022,averaging an 23.7% growth rate. From 1996 to 2006,the number of articles issued showed a slow upward trend, and the overall trend tends to be stable. From 2006 to 2023,a rapid growth in publications peaked in 2022 with 205 articles. The Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)leads the list of institutions with the highest number of publications, with a total of 32 papers. While the most prolific author was Amin with 14 publications.China was the most productive country with 430 publications(33.8%)and 7 539 citations, followed by the United States with 276 publications and 9 859 citations.India,South Korea and Germany followed. The research hotspots, indicated by keyword clusters like "composites""activation""capture""infection""drug delivery""sensor" and "biomarkers".The research hotspots are mainly in the diagnostic and therapeutic areas. Conclusions Nanotechnology holds great promise in facilitating sepsis treatment, and research hotspots nanomaterials are shifting from traditional antimicrobial and immunomodulatory properties of nanomaterials to the development of multifunctional nanocomplexes targeting diverse pathological mechanisms in sepsis. This transition underlines the expanding role of nanomaterials in this field.Despite their growing influence, current research is predominantly led by independent scholars, lacking extensive national and inter-institutional collaborations, which limits its impact. It is recommended to strengthen the cooperation and communication between domestic and foreign researchers to promote the scientific and standardized development of nanotechnology application in sepsis.
