1.Treatment of 28 Cases of Post-herpetic Neuralgia by Local Encircled Needling Method
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2006;4(4):250-251
According to the affected area, 28 patients with herpes zoster were treated. Electroacupuncture and local encircled needling method were used for the patient with the affected head and Jiaji (Ex-B 2) on the same side of pathological changes was added to puncture for the patient with the affected chest and waist. Visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to assess analgesic effect. The result showed VAS<2 in 19 cases, VAS<5 in 7 cases and VAS>6 in 2 cases.
2.Influence of puerarin injection(葛根素注射液) on endothelial functions in patients with variant angina pectoris
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in Intensive and Critical Care 2001;8(1):31-32
Objective:To observe the curative effects of puerarin injection(葛根素注射液) on variant angina pectoris(VAP) and its influences on endothelial functions. Methods:Fortyeight cases with VAP were randomly divided into treated and control group. The treated group was treated with puerarin injection 300500 mg infused intravenously once a day, meanwhile the control group treated with conventional therapy. The therapeutic course was 1014 days for both groups. Before and after using drugs the changes in endothelin(ET) and nitric oxide (NO) were observed in two groups. Results:In both groups after therapy the clinically symptomatic convalescences and changes in electrocardiography (ECG) compared with before therapy had significant differences, but in comparison between two groups the differences had not statistical significant.Otherwise regarding to the ET and NO the differences were significant between treated group and control group. Conclusions:Puerarin injection not only possesses obviously curative effects on symptomatic convalescence and ECG changes but also is able to improve the endothelial functions.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(08):-
Objective:To explore some neuroelectrophysiological bases underlying the aggression and violence in male delinquents. Methods:47 male delinquents with official records of aggressive and violent violation and 41 normal controls were examined by resting EEG, brain evoked potentials. Results:No EEG abnormality was detected in the two groups. Compared with the normals, the male delinquents displayed prolonged V latency in auditory brainstem evoked potentials (5.8?0.1/5.5?0.1, F=9.803, P
4.Role of microglia-astrocyte crosstalk in central nervous system demyelinating diseases
Chinese Journal of Neuromedicine 2023;22(3):289-294
Microglia-astrocyte (MG-AS) crosstalk refers to the molecular conversation, mutual communication and interaction between MG and AS, thus affecting the process of brain development, function and diseases. MG determines the neurotoxic and neuroprotective phenotype of AS and regulates the innate immune function of AS; on the other hand, AS affects MG activation state, and regulates migration and phagocytosis of MG. MG-AS crosstalk plays roles in regulating neuroinflammation, neurotoxicity, neuroprotection, demyelination and myelin regeneration in central nervous system demyelinating diseases; meanwhile, multiple signaling pathways and molecules regulate MG-AS crosstalk in turn, which further affects the development of demyelinating diseases. The author summarizes and discusses the recent advance in this field at home and abroad.

Objective To investigate the expression of peripheral programmed death (PD)-1hiCXCR5-CD4+T cells and its clinical significance in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods Peripheral blood PD-1hiCXCR5-CD4+ T cells from 21 SLE patients and 16 healthy controls were examined by flow cytometry. The levels of serum anti-double-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA) antibodies were determined using immunoradiometric as-say. Data were analyzed with t test and Pearson's correlation test. Results The per-centages of PD-1hiCXCR5- cells within CD4+ T cell were significantly higher in SLE patients [(2.1 ±2.0)%] compared to normal controls [(0.3±0.3)%] (t=2.959, P<0.01). The percentages of PD-1hiCXCR5-cells within CD4+T cells in moderate to severe active SLE patients (3.0 ±2.0)% was significantly increased compared to patients with mild or inactive (1.0±1.4)%(t=2.574, P<0.05) and normal controls (0.3±0.3)% (t=5.149, P<0.01). The percentages of PD-1hiCXCR5- cells within CD4+ T cells from SLE patients were positively related with systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index (SLEDAI) (r=0.475, P=0.0297). SLE patients in serum anti-dsDNA antibodies positive group (2.7±2.1)%displayed a higher percentage of PD-1hiCXCR5-cells within CD4+T cells than patients in serum anti-dsDNA antibodies negative group (0.6 ±0.5)% (t=2.303, P<0.05). The percentages of PD-1hiCXCR5-cells within CD4+T cells from SLE patients were positively correlated with anti-dsDNA antibody titers. Conclusion The percentages of PD-1hiCXCR5- cells within CD4+ T cells from SLE patients are increased and are positively correlated with SLEDAI and anti-dsDNA antibody levels. Increased percentage of PD-1hiCXCR5-cells within CD4+T cells might play an important role in the pathogenesis of SLE.
