Background Dry eye is a common disease worldwide.Cyclosporine A(CsA) is provided to be a immunosuppressive agent and is effective on dry eye.But in China,0.05% CsA is not yet applied in dry eye treatment. Objective This study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 0.05% CsA eye drops in the treatment of dry eye. Methods This was a randomized,double-blind,vehicle-controlled parallel group study.Forty eyes of 40 patients with moderate to severe dry eye were randomly divided into two groups, with the corresponding treatment of 0.05% CsA eye drops or the vehicle emulsion. The patients in both the groups received non-preserved artificial tear.Symptoms and signs were observed before administration,(7±1),(28±2),(56±3),and (84±3) days and also 14 days after withdrawal. The clinical effective rate was considered as the primary outcome. The subjective assessment of the patients including total symptom scores and ocular surface disease index (OSDI) scores,Schirmer Ⅰ test (S Ⅰ t) with topical anaesthesia, tear film breakup time (BUT),rose Bengal and fluorescein staining scores were evaluated. The safety profile was evaluated by adverse events, visual acuity and ocular tolerance. Results At the end of this trial, the ocular symptoms scores, conjunctival hyperemia,BUT,S Ⅰ t and keratoconjunctiva staining scores of the two groups had statistically significant difference. The total effective rate of 0.05% CsA treatment group was 75% (15/20) and vehicle group was 25% (5/20).There was a statistically significant difference between groups (P =0.000),and the 95% confidence interval (C1) of the difference value of total effectiveness between the two groups was 30.80%-53.75%.At the end of this trial, there was no statistically significant difference in visual acuity distribution (P =0.890).No obvious discomfort was found in the patients received 0.05% CsA eye drops. There were no adverse events during the follow-up duration. Conclusions 0.05% CsA ophthalmic emulsion is an effective and safe treatment for dry eyes.

Objective: To analyze the distribution and drug resistance characteristics of clinical separation germ in a hospital from 2013 to 2015 to provide reference and basis for the prevention and control of nosocomial infection and rational use of antibiotics. Methods: The microbial susceptibility of isolated strains was detected using the conventional methods, and the drug sensitivity was analyzed by BioMerieux ATB 1.22.The drug sensitivity was determined according to CLSI 2014 criteria. Results: A total of 18 421 specimens were isolated during 2013 and 2015, and a total of 3 744 strains were isolated with the total positive rate of 20.32%.The separation and identification of pathogenic bacteria at the top 5 were Escherichia coli (967 strains, 44.34%), Bauman Acinetobacter (323 strains, 14.81%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (312 strains, 14.31%), Staphylococcus aureus (297 strains 13.62%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (282 strains, 12.92%).Besides the natural resistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae to amoxicillin, the resistance rate of Escherichia coli to piperacillin was over 75%, while the sensitivity rate of Klebsiella pneumoniae to piperacillin and tazobactam was more than 90%.The sensitivity of Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa to clinical antibiotics was basically below 40%, and the overall resistance level was higher than that of Bauman.MRSA was sensitive to nitrofurantoin, minocycline, quinupristin-Dafoe and leptin glycopeptide antibiotics (such as teicoplanin and vancomycin). Conclusion: The hospital should strengthen the monitoring of bacterial resistance and track the results in a timely manner so as to provide reference for the rational drug use in clinical practice.

Objective To study the effect of simvastatin on improve ventricular remodeling in rats after myocardial infarction(MI). Methods The MI models of rat were constructed, and divided into three groups:(1)MI group(MI-C),only ligation of left anterior descending coronary artery(LAD);(2)Simvastatin group(MI-S),ligation of LAD and gavage with simvastatin 40 mg?kg~(-1)?d~(-1);(3)Sham group(sham),no ligation of LAD.Cardiac architecture and function were determined by the echocardiography. The TNF-? mRNA expression in infarction and non-infarction regions was measured by RT-PCR. TNF-? protein was determined by Western blot and immunohistochemical staining. Results The echocardiography showed that the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDd,(7.5?0.4)mm versus(4.5?0.3)mm) significantly increased in MI-C group, compared with sham group. The fractional shortening(FS,(20.5?2.5)% versus(51.6?3.1)%) and ejection fraction(EF,(41.4?4.3)%versus(85.2?3.7)%)markedly decreased in MI-C group, while compared with sham group. Simvastatin obviously reduced left ventricle(LV) expansion and improved LV function(P

Aim To investigate the effects of red yeast rice capsules containing coenzyme Q10 on femur with an animal model of osteoporosis, which was induced by OVX with D-galactose in rats, and the results were compared with those obtained from diethylstilbestrol. Methods Three-month old female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham group ( CON ) , ovariectomized group ( OVX ) , model group ( MOD ) , diethylstilbestrol group( DES) , and red yeast rice cap-sule group( RYR) . After 60 days, the left femurs were collected for Ca, P and hyp measurement, while the right femurs were performed with three-point bending test and micro-CT evaluation, respectively. Results Compared with CON group, MOD group had a signifi-cant increase in body weight, Tb. Sp, SMI and signifi-cant decrease in maximum load, stiffness, maximum strength, break strength, elastic modulus, Ca, P, Hyp contents and indicators of BV/TV, Tb. N, BMD, Conn-Dens. On the other hand, compared with MOD group, RYR group had a lower body weight and all bone biomechanics indexes were increased without sta-tistically significant difference. At the same time, the content of Ca, P and indicators of BV/TV, Tb. N, Tb. Th, BMD, Conn-Dens increased significantly;yet Tb. Sp decreased significantly. In DES group, the results of indicators were consistent with those for RYR group. In addition, compared with DES group, in RYR group body weight decreased significantly;the content of Ca, P and indicators of BV/TV, Tb. N, Tb. Th, Conn-Dens were significantly higher, and Tb. Sp, SMI were significantly lower. Conclusions Significant bone loss and deteriorated mechanical properties of femur can be observed in animal model of osteoporosis induced by OVX combined with D-galactose. Red yeast rice cap-sules containing coenzyme Q10 show effective prevention effects. Furthermore, red yeast rice capsules(0. 5 tab-let·kg-1 ) have better effect on increasing the number of trabecular bone than diethylstilbestrol ( 30 μg · kg-1 ) does.
