1.Application of image-guided adaptive radiation therapy in lung cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(12):912-914
Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) is the product of excellence technology. It reschedules, registers according to tumor's size, shape and alteration of relative position with the surrounding tissue during the treatment.Thereby it raises the accuracy of the conformal radiotherapy. The technology is gradually being chosen by more and more patients. The technology can increase the rate of local control significantly, while reducing the occurrence of radiation-related adverse reactions.
2.Dosimetric study of adaptive radiotherapy in lung cancer
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2015;(2):247-249
Six patients with lung cancer treated with therapy were included. They were retrieved the image and re-planned by fraction 10. The volume of GTV was reduced (65. 59 ± 17. 09)% after three-stage treatments. The doses of target tumor were the same in three-stage treatments. Compared with IMRT, ART1 reduced V20 , V30 , MLD of whole lung by 2. 01%,2. 66%,241. 78 cGy(P=0. 005,0. 039,0. 026). Compared with ART1,ART2 further re-duced the indexes by 3. 21%,2. 97%,288. 64 cGy(P=0. 005,0. 013,0. 046). The doses of ipsilateral lung were reduced significantly (P<0. 05). But this was not for opposite lung. The dose V50,Dmean of heart and V55 of esopha-gus were similar to each plan. Dmean of esophagus with ART1 was smaller than with IMRT(261. 98 cGy,P=0. 002) and Dmean of esophagus with ART2 was smaller than with ART1(300. 43 cGy,P=0. 008). D2% and Dmean of spinal cord were reduced in turn significantly(P<0. 05).
3.Correlation betw een the watershed infarction types and cerebrovascular stenosis
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2015;23(12):887-892
Objective To investigate the correlation betw een the cerebral w atershed infarction (WSI) types and cerebrovascular stenosis. Methods Patients w ith WSI diagnosed by MRI and diffusion -w eighted imaging w ere enroled. Color Doppler ultrasound w as used to conduct extracranial internal carotid artery (ICA) examination. Magnetic resonance angiography w as used to conduct intracranial vascular examination. The patients w ith WSI w ere divided into cortical w atershed infarction (CWSI), internal w atershed infarction (IWSI), and mixed-type w atershed infarction (MWSI). The correlation betw een the different types of WSI and cerebral vascular stenosis w ere analyzed. Results A total of 120 patients w ith WSI w ere enroled, including 18 w ith CWSI, 48 w ith IWSI, and 54 w ith MWSI. Ipsilateral vascular stenosis: 48 patients w ere in ICA (40.0%, 22 of them in the extracranial segment, 39 in the intracranial segment), 24 (20 .0%) w ere in the anterior cerebral artery, 86 (71.7%) w ere in the middle cerebral artery, 40 (33.3%) w ere in the posterior cerebral artery, 35 (29.2%) w ere in the vertebral basilar artery, and 36 (30.0%) w ere in ICA +MCA. There w ere significant differences in the detection rates of ipsilateral ICA, MCA and ICA + MCA stenosis among different types of WSI. Multivariate logistic regression analysis show ed that CWSI often accompanied by the ipsilateral ICA stenosis (odds ratio [ OR] 0.022; 95% confidence interval [ CI] 0.002 -0.230; P =0.001); IWSI often accompanied by the MCA stenosis ( OR 40.164; 95% CI 3.861 -417.810; P =0.002), w hile MWSI often accompanied by the ipsilateral MCA stenosis ( OR 9.586; 95% CI
2.776 -33.126; P <0.001) and ipsilateral ICA + MCA stenoses ( OR 7.481; 95% CI 2.541 -22.022; P <0.001). Conclusion There w ere significant differences in the incidence of the ipsilateral ICA, MCA, and ICA + MCA stenosis among the different types of WSI. CWSI often accompanied by the ipsilateral ICA stenosis, IWSI often accompanied by the ipsilateral MCA stenosis, and MWSI often accompanied by the ipsilateral ICA + MCA stenosis.
4.Investigation and analysis of prevalence of nosocomial infections in 2010~2012
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2014;(3):316-318,319
Objective Through investigation on hospital infection, to learn the actual status of hospital infection and improve hospital infection management work continuously. Methods Via transect investigation, all hospital-ized patients were investigated by bed-visiting and patients, medical records, checking at the same time. ResultsA total of 3032 cases were enrolled, and the prevalence from 2010 to 2012 were 6. 10%, 5.30% and 4.17%, re-spectively. ICU had the highest prevalence of 39.29%. The lower respiratory tract ranked the first place (45.16%) among infection sites. Invasive operation increased the risk of nosocomial infections. The utilization rates of antibiotics of the hospitalized patients from 2010 to 2012 were 67.7%, 64. 8%, and 54. 1%, respectively. The microbial submission rates for the therapeutic medication were 39 . 00%, 46.99%, and 55 . 01%, respective-ly. The gram-negative bacteria were dominant among the isolated bacterias, accounting for 61.39%. ConclusionThe prevalence survey in the nearly three years shows that the prevalence of nosocomial infections is decreasing, and the microbial submission rate for the therapeutic medication is also increasing by improved hospitalized conditions, strict management of antibiotics and enhanced surveillance.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;(1):36-37
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of puncturing Tianshu (ST 25) alone in treating intractable constipation in the elderly.Method Totally 193 senile subjects with intractable constipation were randomized into group A of 57 cases, group B of 73 cases, and group C of 63 cases. Group A was intervened by acupuncture at Tianshu (ST 25), group B was by Lactulose oral solution, and group C was by retention enema. The clinical efficacies and effect-lasting time of the three groups were compared. Result The total effective rate was 89.3% in group A, versus 88.6% in group B and 92.1% in group C, and the between-group differences were statistically insignificant (P>0.05). Of the markedly effective and improved cases, the effect-lasting time in group A was significantly different from that in group B and C (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture at Tianshu (ST 25) alone is an effective method in treating senile intractable constipation.

AIM: To study the inhibitive effects of valsartan and spironolactone on expression of insulin like growth factor 1 in cardiacmyocytes of spontaneously hypertensive rats. METHODS: 18 SHRs were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=6 in each): valsartan group treated with 30 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 valsartan, spironolactone group treated with 20 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 spironolactone, and control group treated with placebo. All were administrated by gastric perfusion. 6 WKY rats were served as control. After 13 weeks administration, the expressions of IGF 1 in cardiacmycytes were measured by immunohistochemistry and the IGF 1 concentrations in myocardium were measured by radiommunoassay. RESULTS: The expression of IGF 1 was higher in SHR group than that in the WKY group (P
