Objective To investigate the impact of health education and standard treatments on the life quality of asthmatic children.Methods We conducted clinic treatments of 110 cases of asthmatic children lasting for 6 months,which were divided into standard treatment and health education group with 60 cases and group without standard treatment and health education with 50 cases.We emphasized the education management on cases in experimental group,which strictly obeyed the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to formulate classified treatments as well as regular follow-up.Control group received the same treatments as experimental group yet without emphasizing health education about asthma on parents,which was accompanied with irregular follow-up.We compared the before-treatment and after-treatment life-quality and lung functions of asthmatic children.Moreover,we used Pediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (PAQLQ) to evaluate the before-treatment and after-treatment life quality of asthmatic children.Results After follow-up lasting for 6 months,the treatments of experiment group had obvious improvements (P ＜0.01).The improvements of peak expiratory flow (PEF) of lung function test and timed vital capacity of the first second (FEV1) of experimental group were also better than the improvements of these two metrics of control group (P ＜ 0.01).In addition,after 6 months,in both all dimensions of PAQLQ and total score,the differences between before and after treatment of experimental group were significant (P ＜ 0.01,P ＜ 0.05) ; and the differences between experimental group and control group were also significant in both all dimensions of PAQLQ score (12.4 ±2.1) and total score comparing to the control group (8.1 ±2.3),and the differences are also significant (t =2.5,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Health education and standard treatments significantly improved the life quality of asthmatic children with a good compliance of treatment and a low recurrence rate,which is worth of popularizing.

Purpose:Evaluation of technique and clinical value of CT-guided transthoracic punc ture biopsy.Materials and methods:Between Feb 1994 and Oct 1997,CT guided transthoracic puncture biopsy was performed in 55cases including unknown pulmonary(44cases),pleural(6 cades)and mediastinal (6 cases)diseases with 20gDFBN and 18g ADGSTN.36 males and 19 females,aged from 23 to 78 years (mean age 55 years)were included.The assembled materials were evaluated cytologically in 25 cases and histopathologically in 55 cases.Results:The needle tip passed through percutaneouslly into the lesion under CT-guided in all 55 cases and obtained specimens for cytology(25 cases)and histopathology(55 cases).Accuracy rate were 60% for cytology and 87.5% for histopathology.Among 35 cases of tumor, histopathologic classification had been done in 26 cases.Complication occurred in 7cases(13%),including pneumothorax(2 cases)and hemoptysis(5 cases).Conclusion:CT-guided TPB is a method of combining advanced imaging tecnique and pathology.It is a simple,highly accurate,safe diagnostic tool,especially for unknown pulmonary,pleura,mediastinal lesions.

Objective To establish an animal model of preeclampsia by injecting ultra-low-dose lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to rats in early pregnancy,and to lay the foundation for further study on mechanisms of preeclampsia.Methods Twenty-four pregnant rats were divided into six groups according to the random number table and were injected with LPS 0.3,0.5,0.7,1.0,2.0 μg/kg or saline 2 ml respectively through tail veins on day 5 of pregnancy.The differences in blood pressure,urinary protein and pathological changes in placenta among groups were compared to confirm the suitable dose of LPS for establishing preeclamptic model.Then another 19 pregnant rats were injected with the chosen dose of LPS slowly through tail veins on day 5 of pregnancy; 15 of which were chosen as model group; the other four were chosen as postpartum group.Three non-pregnant rats were as non-pregnant group.Besides,another 15 pregnant rats were injected with saline as pregnant control group.Systolic blood pressure,urinary protein excretion,placental weight,fetal weight,serum white blood cell counts,blood platelet counts,plasma anti-thrombin-Ⅲ content,D-dimer content were examined and compared among groups with one way analysis of variance; histopathologic studies were also done on the placentas,kidneys and aortas of the rats.Results (1) Placental weight of LPS 0.3 μg/kg group increased compared with control group.One pregnant rats(1/4) in LPS 1.0 μg/kg group and LPS 2.0 μg/kg group died on day 16 of pregnancy as a result of vaginal bleeding.Systolic blood pressure of LPS 0.5 μg/kg group rose steadily,while no significant changes were found in other groups.Urinary protein increased in all LPS groups,while urinary protein of LPS 0.7 μg/kg group and LPS 1.0 μg/kg group peaked on day 12 of pregnancy and then decreased; urinary protein of LPS 0.5 μg/kg group increased most significantly,and fetus in LPS 0.5,0.7 and 2.0 μg/kg groups had lighter body weight.So LPS 0.5 μg/kg was chosen as the suitable dose to establish preeclamptic model.(2)Compared with pregnant control group,model group had higher systolic blood pressure [(124.89±1.79) mm Hg vs (119.02±1.80) mm Hg,LSD test,P=0.03] from day 6 of pregnancy,more urinary protein [(2.02±0.29) mg vs (1.11±0.18) mg,LSD test,P=0.00] from day 9 of pregnancy,more absorbed embryos [3.6％ (7/194) vs 0.0％ (0/200),Fisher exact test,P=0.01] at day 20 of pregnancy,higher incidence of placenta bleeding [4.1％ (8/194) vs 0.0％ (0/200),Fisher exact test,P=0.00] and fetal growth restriction [13.9％ (27/194) vs 6.0％ (12/200),X2=6.92,Fisher exacttest,P=0.01].Model group showed more inflammatory cells infiltration in the placenta,more glomerular mesangial cells,swelling and desquamated of renal tubular epithelial cells compared to control group.Blood pressure and urinary protein of the model group recovered to the baseline at the sixth day of postpartum,and no changes in blood pressure and urinary protein were found in non-pregnant rats.Conclusions Injection of LPS 0.5 μg/kg on day 5 of pregnancy through tail veins could induce the clinical symptoms of preeclampsia in rats,which might be an ideal model for further preeclampsia research.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Xuesaitong soft capsule on symptoms of TCM in patients with stroke and cerebral infraction. METHODS:112 patients were divided into 2 groups,84 cases for experimental group and 28 cases for control group using CDAS 2.0 software. Experimental group were given Xuesaitong soft capsule and stimulation agent of Yinxingye soft capsule 2 pill at a time for 28 days,tid. RESULTS:100 patients including 75 cases for experimental group and 25 cases for control group had been completed experiment. There were statistical significance in difference between 2 groups in respect of improving half paralyzed symptoms,speech lost,dizziness and quarrel skew. Above aspects of experimental group were better than control group. CONCLUSION:Xuesaitong soft capsule have sound effect on blood stasis in stroke patients in recovery period.

Objective To explore the antibacterial effect and mechanisms of platelets (PLT)on Staphylococcus epidermidis (SE).Methods Built infectious model of SE in vitro,whose final concentration was 105 CFU/ml in the reaction.Separately cocultured these models with PLT (the final concentration 400 × 109/L)-plasma (positive control)and BHI medium 12 hours later,and detected the antibacterial effect of PLT by making a liquid thinner and spreading counting method,and draw-ing antibacterial curve.Meanwhile,observed the bacterial structure by transmission electron microscope (TEM),and initially explored the antibacterial mechanism of PLT.Results The study showed the antibacterial effect of PLT on SE was very ob-vious,which appeared later than the plasma (M)group,but enduring.The images of TEM showed an electronlight region appeared in the centre of bacterium,contained condensed DNA molecules and leaded to slower fission.Conclusion PLT can damage the DNA structure of SE,and then affect the fission of SE,finally inhibit the proliferation of SE.

Objective To develop a nested PCR for the detection of early syphilis and genotyping of Treponema pallidum (TP), and to investigate the distribution of genotypes of TP in Guangzhou. Methods Specimens were consecutively collected from genital ulcers of patients with suspected chancre during 2002-2004, and were detected by dark-field microscopy and nested PCR. The acidic repeat protein (arp) gene and the T. pallidum repeat (tpr) gene family were amplified with the positive specimens above. The number of repeats presented in the arp gene and the restriction fragment length polymorphism by Mse I in the tpr gene were analyzed by electrophoresis. The strains were genotyped according to Pillay's criteria. Results Out of 62 patients with suspected chancre, 33 cases (53.2%) were positive by dark-field microscopy and 54 cases (87.1%) by nested PCR. Of 47 TP-positive specimens genotyped by arp gene, 36 (76.6%) were type 14, while of 49 cases genotyped by tpr gene 39 (79.6%) were type d. By combining genotypes of arp and tpr genes, 7 genotypes were found, including 14d (31, 66.0%), 13d (5, 10.6%), 14b (4, 8.5%), 12b (3, 6.4%), 12d (2, 4.3%), 15d(l, 2.2%) and 14i (1, 2.2%). Conclusions Nested PCR shows a high sensitivity in early detection of TP. Genotype 14d seems the predominant type of TP in Guangzhou.

Objective To investigate the positive rates and susceptibility of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) in urogenital mycoplasma infection under three years.Methods Culture,identification and susceptibility test were performed on 4 414 specimens collected from suspected patients with mycoplasma infection by using Antu mycoplasma kits.Results In the 4 414 patients,2 295 cases with mycoplasma infection were detected and the positive rate was 51.99％.The infection rates of Uu and Mh respectively were 40.69％ and 2.08％,and the both infection rate was 9.22％.Antibiotic sensitive rates of josamycin(JOX),doxycycline(DOX),clarithromycin(CLA),gatifloxacin(GAT) and erythromycin(ERY) were 96.03％,95.51 ％,78.69 ％％,77.21 ％ and 72.55 ％.Drug resistant rates of roxithromycin(RXT),thiamphenicol (THI),clindamycin (CLI) and clarithromycin(CLA) were 16.90％,22.27％,41.96％ and 17.60％.Conclusion Uu is the predominant mycoplasma in urogenital tract infection in the study.DOX,JOS,GAT and ERY can be chosen as the fist line drugs for the treatment of urogenital tract infection.RXT,THI,CLI and CLA with high drug resistant rates are not recommended to be used.

An HA-1-DC nucleic-acid vaccine was constructed to induce anti-leukemia effect after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). DCs were generated from HSCT donors in vitro, and its immunologic activity was assayed by using flow cytometry and mixed lymphocytes reaction. HA-1 gene was electroporated into the cultured DCs to construct a DC nucleic-acid vaccine. After transfection for 48 h, the expression of HA-1 protein could be detected by using Western blot. The DCs were cultured with syngenic lymphocytes to induce specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). The cytoxicity of the CTLs was detected by LDH assay. The results showed that The DCs derived from peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) expressed the phenotype of DCs, and were effective in stimulating proliferation of the allogenic lymphocytes. After electroporating for 48-h, HA-1 protein was detected by using Western blot. The cytotoxicty of inducing CTLs was higher than the control group. It was suggested that minor histocompatibility antigen HA-1 could be considered as a target of immunotherapy against leukemia after HSCT.

Objective: To explore the prevalence of body weight control behaviors (BWCB) among middle school students in Jiangsu province. Methods: The database was established part from the surveillance of adolescent common disease and health related factors in Jiangsu province in 2017 and analysis were carried out to describe the prevalence rates of four basic BWCB and their comorbidity. Results: Among 18 855 investigators, 75.8% middle school students reported having taken at least one kind of BWCB within 30 days before investigation, the report rates of BWCB of middle school students among male and female were 77.3% and 74.3%(P<0.01), showed decreasing tendency from grade 1 of junior middle school to grade 3 of senior middle school (Kendall’s tau-c=-0.10, P<0.01), those of malnutrition, normal body weight, overweight and obesity were 57.2%, 72.8%, 83.8%, 86.7% respectively and showed increasing tendency(Kendall’s tau-c=0.13, P<0.01). Reported rate of Changing diet structure, physical exercise, reducing diet and taking slimming drug prevalence were 58.7%, 61.0%, 17.9%, 2.6%, orderly. There are 15 combinations of BWCB based on those 4 kinds of behavior. In the highest five types list ,changing diet structure & physical exercise (35.2%) was the most common type, and followed by physical exercise(13.0%), Changing diet structure(9.2%), Changing diet structure & physical exercise & reducing diet(8.6%), Changing diet structure & physical exercise & reducing diet(3.4%), others 6.5%. The proportions of top five kinds of BWCB among middle school students taken BWCB were 46.4%, 17.1%, 12.2%, 11.3%, 4.5%, respectively, accounting for 91.5%. The probabilities of different types of BWCB were similar between urban and town(χ2=9.13, P=0.10), different among sex(χ2=351.17, P<0.01), districts(χ2=140.20, P<0.01), school type and nutrition status(χ2=343.95, 309.62, P<0.01). Conclusion Some overweight or obesity students report on control body weight, while some report taking medicine and reducing diet behavior. Health education on healthy body weight should be implemented for middle school students to cultivate healthy body image so as to keep healthy body weight.

OBJECTIVEWe sought to master the clinical characteristics and prognosis of hard mental lung disease, improving this disease's diagnosis and treatment quality.

METHODSWe recruited two suspected patients with hard mental lung disease and collected their occupational history, examination results of occupational health, and past medical records. By virtue of laboratory tests, high Kv chest radiography, CT and HRCT of chest, fiberoptic bronchoscopy and ECG examination, diagnostic report was synthesized respectively by respiratory physicians and pathologist from three different agencies. Then the report was submitted to diagnosis organizations of occupational disease, and diagnostic conclusion of occupational disease was drawn after discussion by at least three diagnosticians of occupational disease.

RESULTSWe found that both of the two suspected patients were exposed to dusts of hard metal, and length of exposure service ranged from 8 to 9 years. Clinical manifestations were dominated by dry cough, wheezing after activities, and pathological manifestation was characteristic giant cell interstitial pneumonia. The prognosis and outcome of the disease were different.

CONCLUSIONAccording to exact occupational exposure history, clinical manifestations, combined with the results of high Kv chest radiography, CT of chest and pathological manifestation, it can be diagnosed with hard mental lung disease.
