Objective To evaluate Chinese children’s blood lead levels(BLLs) and identify the distribution features with time and to provide the data for developing the policy to control environmental lead pollution.Methods The papers on children BLLs published from 2004 to Aug.2007 with sampling time since 2001 were collected,by searching Chinese Biomedical Disk(CBMDisk),Chinese Journal Full-test Database(CJFD) and other ways.Thirty-five articles eligible for inclusion criteria were reviewed.Also,the data were compared with our former study carried out in 2004 with articles studying time between 1995 and 2003.Results The mean BLL of Chinese children between 2001 and 2007 was 80.7 ?g/L(45.5-165.3 ?g/L),and 23.9%(3.2%-80.7%)were higher than 100 ?g/L,both of which were lower than the levels in 1995 to 2003.Four of 24 provinces or cities reported had average BLLs≥100 ?g/L.Of the 24 provinces or cities,only four had higher BLL and prevalence rates of lead poisoning(BLL ≥100 ?g/L) than that in 1995 to 2003.The mean BLL of children living in industrial areas was higher than that of children in urban and suburbs areas,and the mean BLL in suburbs was higher compared with urban areas.Boys BLL was 79.3 ?g/L,significantly higher than girls(76.9 ?g/L)(P

Multiple sclerosis(MS)is a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system and one of the most common autoimmune diseases,characterized by wide-spread lesions and relapsing-remitting encephalomyelitis,accompanied by optic nerve damage.Patients worldwide total about 2.5 million,mostly young adults and women.This disease remains incurable. Dimethylfumarate (DMF)is a new oral drug for MS,which was approved by the FDA in 2013 for clinical treatment of re-lapsing-remitting MS.It can reduce the activity of disease,and the relapsing-remitting MS relapse.This paper outlines the application of DMF to the treatment of MS and its mechanism of action.

AIM To investigate the role of Trp3 in the Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR in HEK293 cells and the effect of tyrosine kinase on it. METHODS With lipofect AMINE2000 reagent, hTrp3 cDNA was transfected to HEK293 cells and ? 1B HEK293 cells respectively. The expression of Trp3 was examined by Western blot. With Fura 2/AM spectrophoto fluorometry, Ca 2+ influx was determined. RESULTS HTrp3 was expressed endogenously in HEK293 cells, and the expression increased in hTrp3 transfected cells. Compared with untransfected cells, transfection of hTrp3 cDNA increased Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR ( P 0 05). 5～30 ?mol?L -1 genistein inhibited Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR in hTrp3 cDNA transfected cells and the maximum inhibitory rate was (75 2?12 6)% . CONCLUSION Transfection of hTrp3 cDNA increased Ca 2+ influx induced by ? 1B AR in HEK293 cells. This process was regulated by tyrosine kinase.

ObjectiveTo observe in vivo segmental lumbar motion in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH) during functional weight-bearing activities.MethodsFifteen patients with LDH at L4-5 were studied as experimental group.Ten healthy volunteers were recruited as control group.Three-dimension(3D) lumbar spine models of L3,L4 and L5 were reconstructed from thin section CT scans.Spine motions were then reproduced by matching lumbar spine models and images got from dual fluoroscopic imaging system (DFIS)under different motion state (standing,flexion-extension,left-right twisting and left-right bending).From local coordinate systems at the end plates,the motion of the cephalad vertebrae relative to the caudal vertebrae was calculated for vertebrae levels:L4-5 and L3-4.ResultsThe motion pattern at L4-5 was found to be altered.During flexion-extension,the migrations of the affected segments along the frontal axis,sagittal axis,vertical axis were similar with that of the control group,but the rotation angle along the frontal axis was significantly larger than that of the control group (P＜0.05).During left-right bending and left-right twisting,the migration and rotation angle along the frontal axis were significantly larger than those of control group.During flexionextension,the migrations of the neighboring segments (L3-4) along the three axes were larger than those of the control group,but there were no statistical significances.During left-right bending and left-right twisting,the migrations of the neighboring segments (L3-4) along the vertical axis were significantly larger than those of the control group (P＜0.05).ConclusionThe 3D lumbar motion pattern in LDH patient is different with that of normal people.For the affected segment,compared with the normal people,the range of flexion-extension motion and the translocation in left-right direction were significantly larger,but the rotation range along the vertical axis was smaller.

Objective To investigate the histological and ultrastructural characteristics of liver graft after different warm ischemia time (WIT) in rats. Methods According to WIT, rats were randomized into 7 groups, with WIT of 0, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 minutes respectively. All specimens were investigated by light, electron microscopy, and histochemistry stain. 6, 24, and 48 hours after orthotopic liver transplantation(OLTx) ,the graft morphology was observed. Results The donor liver from non-heart-beating donors (NHBO) underwent ischemia injury both in the warm ischemia period and in the reperfusion period. Morphological changes were positively related to warm ischemia time in a time-dependent manner during the reperfusion period. There was a histocytic degeneration of different degree within 30 minutes warm ischemia. Although becoming more severe with the prolongation of warm ischemia time within this period, there was no obvious hepatocyte necrosis in any specimens. In WIT 45 min group, small focal necrosis occurred which was found in central area of hepatic lobule first. In 60 min group, patchy or diffused necrosis was observed and the area was gradually extended, while hepatic sinusoid endothelial cell obviously swelled to be bleb or balloonlike, hepatic sinusoid was obstructed and microcirculation was in disorder. Conclusion Rat liver graft undergoing warm ischemia injury is on the reversible stage within 30 minutes warm ischemia time by histological, histochemistry and ultrastructural dynamic observation. 45 min is a critical point of rat liver graft to endure warm ischemia injury, and when WIT was over 60 min, the damage is irreversible.

Host genetic, environmental and viral factors are classified as three categories that determine clinical outcomes of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. The objective of this study was to detect the associations between polymorphisms rs346473 and rs346482 in Rho GTPase-activating protein 24 (ARHGAP24) gene and disease progression of HBV infection in Han Chinese population. These two SNPs were found by our DNA pooling using Affymetrix Genome-Wide Human Mapping SNP6.0 Array in HBV carriers, and verified by using TaqMan 7900HT Sequence Detection System with 758 progressed HBV carriers versus 300 asymptomatic HBV carriers (AsC) in a discovery phase and 971 progressed HBV carriers versus 328 AsC in a replication phase. Multivariable logistic regression revealed that individuals with genotype TT at variant rs346473 displayed remarkable correlations with disease progression of HBV infection both in the discovery phase (OR, 2.693; 95% CI, 1.928-3.760; P=6.2×10(-9); additive model) and the replication phase (OR, 1.490; 95% CI, 1.104-2.012; P=9.0×10(-3); additive model). These two SNPs were in strong linkage disequilibrium with D'=0.99 and r (2)=0.951, and haplotype TT disclosed an increased susceptibility to HBV progression (OR, 1.980; 95% CI, 1.538-2.545; P=8.1×10(-8)). These findings suggest that polymorphism rs346473 in the ARHGAP24 gene might be a part of the genetic variants underlying the susceptibility of HBV carriers to disease progression.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of laparoscopic surgery in the treatment of gallstones and common bile duct stones. Methods: Eighty-seven patients with gallstones complicated with common bile duct stones who underwent concurrent laparoscopic surgery at Zhoushan Hospital from December 2015 to December 2017 were enrolled.The patients were divided into A group and B group according to the digital table.A group(38 cases) underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) combined with laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE), and B group(49 cases) underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST) combined with laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). The curative effect of the two groups was observed.The operation time, the success rate of the operation and the rate of laparotomy were recorded in the two groups.The corresponding hospitalization time and cost were compared.The safety of the two different procedures was compared after surgery, and the complications of the two groups were recorded. Results: In A group, the average diameter of common bile duct stones was (1.02±0.25)cm, the average diameter of common bile duct diameter was (1.15±0.25)cm.In B group, the mean diameter of common bile duct stones was (0.99±0.26)cm, and the average diameter of common bile duct was (1.13±0.26) cm.The differences between the two groups were not statistically significant (t=0.513, 0.437, 0.367, P=2.083, 1.533, 1.095). The successful operation rate of A group was 92.11%(35/38), which in B group was 91.84%(45/49), the difference was not statistically significant between the two groups(χ²=0.006, P=0.974). The incidence rate of complications in B group was 20.41%, which was significantly higher than that in A group, the difference was statistically significant(χ²=3.654, P=0.019). The hospitalization time, hospitalization expenses in A group were (10.6±2.6)d, (26 649.8±3 478.6)CNY, respectively, which were significantly better than those in B group (t=21.971, 17.168, all P<0.05). Conclusion The efficacy of LC combined with LCBDE for patients with gallstones complicated with common bile duct stones is better than ERCP/EST combined with LC surgery, and the safety of the former is higher than the latter.

Objective To establish a new gas chromatography (GC)method coupled with ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE)and solid-phase microextraction (SPME)for rapid determination of seven kinds of organophosphorus pesticide residues and three kinds of pyrethroid pesticide residues in 13 Miao ethnomedicines produced in Guizhou province.Methods Japanese Honeysuckle Flower (Flos Lonicerae Japonicae,Jinyinhua)was the optimization object.SPME was used directly for enrichment of extracts obtained by ultrasonic-assisted solvent.Then gas chromatography-electron capture detector was used for the determination.Results Under optimum conditions,seven kinds of organophosphorus pesticides showed a good linear relationship at the range from 5 to 500 μg/L,and three kinds of pyrethroid pesti-cides did at the range from 2.5 to 250 μg/L.The recovery was from 85.6 % to 112.7 % with the RSD 3.2% ~9.8%.The limit of detection was from 0.02 to 0.33 μg/L.Conclusion UAE-SPME-GC established is an easy,environmental-friendly and rapid method for simultaneous determination of residual amount of 10 organophosphorus and pyrethroid pesticides in Miao ethomedicines.This method with directly enriching and sampling,was a simplified sample pretreatment procedure without purification process.

Objective To explore the expression and diagnostic value of circulating microRNA(miR)-126-3p in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Multi-centred miR chips and sequencing data were col-lected to investigate the differential expression of circulating miR-126-3p in NSCLC.In order to evaluate the comprehensive expression level of circulating miR-126-3p in the cycle,the standardized mean difference(SMD)and summary receiver operating characteristic(sROC)curve were calculated,and the area under curve(AUC)of sROC curve was analyzed.Sensitivity,specificity,positive negative likelihood ratio were ex-plored,and the expression of circulating miR-126-3p was further comprehensively analyzed in combination with tissue.By using miRDB,starBase v2.0,and TargetScan 7.1,combined with up-regulated differentially expressed genes in NSCLC,potential target genes of circulating miR-126-3p were screened using complemen-tary sequence method.Results Based on six circulating miR datasets,the expression level of circulating miR-126-3p was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The receiver operating characteristic curves showed that circulating miR-126-3p had strong diagnostic efficacy(AUC＞0.5),and the comprehensive expression of circulating miR-126-3p was lower in 199 cases of NSCLC group than in the control group(SMD=-1.46).The sROC curve showed that circulating miR-126-3p distin-guished the NSCLC group from the control group with high accuracy(AUC=0.91),Egger's test showed no publication bias(P＞0.05),with sensitivity and specificity 0.80,and positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratio were 5.37 and 0.18,respectively.In addition,a comprehensive analysis of the circulation and tissue of 1 320 NSCLC samples from 26 datasets showed that circulating miR-126-3p expression was lower in NSCLC group than in the control group(SMD=-2.07).The sROC curve showed that low-expression circu-lating miR-126-3p had high accuracy in distinguishing between the NSCLC group and the control group(AUC=0.97).In addition,potential target genes ADAM9 and SLC7A5 were screened for circulating miR-126-3p,and their expression in NSCLC group was higher than that in the control group.Conclusion Low ex-pression of circulating miR-126-3p in the circulation may be an important biomarker for high-precision screen-ing of NSCLC.
