Journal of Third Military Medical University 1984;0(01):-
Studies of the scalps from 42 patients with alopecia areala are given, using direct immunofluorescence ( DIP).Langerhans cells (LC)and T-lyrn hocytc subsets are observed. There is no significant difference between the number of OKT6 cells and Ia+ cells in the epidermis of all groups and the control.LC is seen in hair-bulb in many patients and most frequently in active stage. The main change of LC in hair follicle is increasing of T6+Ia- cells, not significant of T6+Ia+ cells. Most of the infiltrates around the hair follicles are T( OKT3+) cells.T4+cells number and T4/T8 ratio in active arc larger than in resting and recovering stages.DIF shows 88% of the patients having deposits of C3,IgG,and IgM.This suggests that alopecia areata may be the disorder of immnue associated with cellular and humoral immunity.

Acute myocardial ischemia and reperfusion led to arrhythmias and increase of glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (GOT),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),non-csterified fatty acid (FFA) and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, and decrease of superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in rats. 3, 6-di-methylamino-dibenzopyri-odonium edetate (IHC-72) 5 mg?kg-1 iv significantly reduced the incidence of ventricular tachy-cardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation(VF) ,shortened the duration of arrhythmias induced by reperfusion, decreased the release of GOT, LDH and FFA, obviously reduced the MDA content, and effectively protected SOD activity in ischemia-reperfused rat hearts. Our experimental results suggested that IHC-72 had protective effects on ischemia-reperfusion injury rat hearts in vivo. The mechanism of the protection might be associated with the inhibition of cellular lipid peroxidation.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of saikosaponin-d(SSd) on tissue plasminogen activator(TPA),plasminogen activator inhibitor(PAI),malonaldehyde(MDA) and NO in rats with liver fibrosis induced by dimethylnitrosamine(DMN).METHODS:Eighteen SD healthy rats were randomized to control group(NS ip qd for 4 weeks),model group(10mg? kg-1 DMN ip 3 times per week for 4 weeks) and SSd-treated group(10mg? kg-1 DMN ip 3 times per week + SSd 1.8 mg? kg-1 ip for 28 consecutive days). All rats were killed 1h after the last time of administration, blood samples were taken from abdominal aorta and liver samples were taken for the observation of pathology and detection of indices of TPA,PAI,MDA and NO etc.RESULTS:SSd could lessen the degree of liver fibrosis and improve the fibrinolytic activities of TPA and PAI,meanwhile,it showed clearance effect on MDA and marked protective effect on hepatic cells. There were significant differences between SSd-treated group and the model group.CONCLUSION:SSd exhibited protective function on experimental hepatic fibrosis in rats, which may be attributed to the improving of fibrinolytic activity, eliminating of lipid peroxidation and enhancing of NO level.

Objective To explore the ultrasound characteristics of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the bile duct( IPM N-B) and evaluate its diagnostic value . Methods Seventeen cases of IPM N-B were diagnosed by ultrasonic examination and confirmed by surgery and pathology . The ultrasound findings and distribution of color Doppler flow signals were observed and analyzed in comparison with the surgical and pathological results . Results Ultrasound revealed the characteristics of IPMN-B:① Bile duct mural nodules that looked like papillary or polypoid were observed; ② Asymmetry bile duct dilatation ,namely obvious dilatation in the lesion intrahepatic bile duct ,but only mild dilatation in the normal intrahepatic bile duct ;③Typical lesions showed mucus in bile duct along bile duct wall without acoustic shadow or move . High frequency ultrasound revealed that mucus in bile duct could float that looked like gelatin when operator vibrated probe in those superficial lesions . This is reliable characteristics of IPMN-B by ultrasound . Conclusions Ultrasound is of high value in the diagnosis of IPMN-B .

Objective To compare the effects of three different softening methods ( soaking, sprinkle-moistening and decompression-quenching methods) on cortex cinnamomi, contents of water extraction, volatile oil content and cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic acid were analyzed to determine the best softening method of cinnamon. Methods Water extraction and volatile oil contents of each sample were deter-mined according to China Pharmacopoeia criteria. And the high performance liquid chromatography ( HPLC) method was used for determining the content of cinnamic acid and cinnamicaldehyde. Multi-in-dex comprehensive evaluation method was used to analyze the results. Results The order of comprehen-sive evaluation scores was decompression-quenched > soaked > the original medicine> sprinkle-moin-stening. Conclusion Cortex cinnamomi processed by the softening method of decompression-quenching seems to have the characteristic of the best luster and richest fragrance; furthermore, this method seems to take the least time and damage to the fewest effective components of the medicine, proving itself to be the best softening process.
