Objective To study the correlation between intelligence and gross motor function for children with cerebral palsy. Methods 90 children with cerebral palsy (CP) were assessed with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), Wechsler preschool and primary scale of intelligence (WPPSI), Wechsler intelligence scale for children (WISC-R) and analyzed statistically. Results The intelligence quotient (IQ) and verbal intelligence quotient (VIQ) of the children with athetotic cerebral palsy were normal, but lower than the average level of normal children(P<0.05). The IQ, VIQ and performance intelligence quotient (PIQ) of the children with spastic cerebral palsy were below the normal (P<0.05), the difference between VIQ and PIQ was significant (P<0.05). For children with spastic cerebral palsy, there was linear correlation between intelligence and the class of GMFCS, and for children with athetotic cerebral palsy there was no linear correlation. Conclusion There were differences of intelligence level and intelligence structure in different types of cerebral palsy, the correlation between intelligence and the class of GMFCS were also different in different types of cerebral palsy.

Objective To find out the mechanism of strephenopodia and strephexopodia of children with spastic cerebral palsy by analyzing their gait character.MethodsForty children with spastic cerebral palsy and forty healthy children with normal walking ability were involved in this research.Footscan 7 gait analysis system was used to measure foot initial touchdown part,the ratio of different part touchdown phase to single supporting phase,the degree of strephenopodia and strephexopodia in different part.Two groups' characteristic parameters were analyzed by statistics method.ResultsSignificant differences were found in foot first touchdown part between two groups(P<0.05).The phenomenon that toes or metatarsus or whole foot first touch the earth was found in children with spastic cerebral palsy.The ratio of anterior foot and middle foot touchdown phase to single supporting phase were higher than normal children(P<0.05).In spastic cerebral palsy group the phenomenon of strephexopodia was more serious than strephenopodia during anterior foot touchdown phase.ConclusionLots of children with spastic cerebral palsy are suffering long-time compression pain and strephexopodia with anterior foot,active rectification must be performed during rehabilitation care.

Objective:To investigate the effect of transforming growth factor (TGF- β) signal in muscle fiber itself during inflammation/immunity response on intramuscular inflammation. Methods:Sixteen wild C57BL/6 mice (wild group) and sixteen mice with skeletal muscle-specific deficiency of T βRⅡ (knock-out group) between 4-8 weeks of age were selected for this study. Acute muscle injury in mice was induced by injection of myotoxin cardiotoxin (CTX) into gastrocnemius. The differences in intramuscular inflammation were compared between the wild and knock-out groups on 0, 4, 7 and 10 d after CTX injection by observing exudation of mononuclear phagocytes, macrophages, M1 type macrophages, CD4 +T cells and helpers T cells (Th1, 2&17). Two newborn C57BL/6 wild mice and 2 SM TGF- βr2-/- knock-out mice were selected to culture primary myoblasts in vitro which were divided into 2 groups: an interferon group subjected to interferon simulation and a control group subjected to addition of an equal amount of solvent. The differences in expression of IL-6, IL-10, MCP-1, MIP-1α, H-2K b, H2-Ea, Toll-like receptor (TLR)3 and TLR7 were compared between the interferon and control groups, as well as between the wild and knock-out groups. Results:On 4&7 d after CTX injection, the ratios of mononuclear/macrophage (75.73%±3.62%, 45.27%± 2.32%), macrophages (38.67%±2.76%, 24.87%±2.19%), M1 macrophages (43.21%±0.11%, 30.43%±2.19%), CD4 +T cells (20.13%±1.62%, 5.67%±0.32%) in the muscle tissue from the knock-out mice were significantly higher than those from the wild mice (58.52%±2.43%, 29.21%±2.45%; 20.63%±2.32%, 16.23%±1.25%; 24.98%±0.35%, 14.23%±1.69%; 10.70%±0.43%, 2.50%±0.45%), with a majority of Th1&Th17 ( P<0.05). In vitro results showed that the levels of IL-6, MCP-1, MIP-1α, H-2K b, H2-Ea and TLR3 were significantly upregulated in the interferon group compared with the control group and that such upregulation in the nock-out mice was more significant than in the wild mice ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Endogenous TGF- β signal activation plays a role in the functional recovery after muscle trauma, because it is involved in the regulation of immune behavior of muscle fibers, thus affecting intramuscular inflammation and muscle regeneration.

Objective To analyze the antibody types of autoimmune hemolytic anemia(AIHA)patients in Panyu dis-trict,Guangzhou and track the therapeutic effect of blood transfusion,so as to provide reference for clinical transfusion treat-ment strategy of AIHA patients.Methods From January 2021 to October 2023,96 ambiguous cross-matching blood sam-ples from Blood Transfusion Departments of local hospitals sent to Panyu Central Blood Station were analyzed,and 25 sam-ples of AIHA patients were identified.Then blood group identification,Rh system antigen phenotyping,antibody screening and cross-matching were further performed to analyze the correlation between antibody types and transfusion efficacy in AIHA patients.Results Among the 25 samples of AIHA patients,17 showed consistency between forward and reverse blood grouping and8 showed discrepancy.There were 19(19/25,76%)samples incompatible in cross match on the major side,of which 18(18/19,94.7%)were positive for direct Coombs test,autoantibodies and non-specific antibodies,and1(1/19,5.3%)was positive for autoantibody and alloantibody.There were 6(6/25,24%)samples compatible in cross match on the major side,of which 3(3/6,50%)were positive for autoantibodies,3(3/6,50%)were positive for au-toantibody and alloantibody.Of the 25 AIHA patients,20 received blood transfusion treatment and could be traced,and 5 patients did not receive blood transfusion treatment or transferred to other hospitals and could not be traced.Blood transfu-sion was effective in 11(11/20,55%)cases,partially effective in 6(6/20,30%)cases,and ineffective in 3(3/20,15%)cases.Among the ABO blood group incompatibility samples,transfusion was effective or partially effective in 17(17/20,85%)cases.Conclusion The transfusion efficacy of AIHA patients is not directly related to the results of cross-matc-hing.Under the premise of regulating the autoimmune environment and eliminating the ABO blood group incompatibility caused by unexpected alloantibodies,AIHA patients with incompatible cross-matching can be transfused when necessary,and transfusion of ABO and Rh system antigen homologous blood can improve the safety and efficiency of transfusion.

Objective:To explore the optimal keV for the visualization of rectal cancer and to investigate its diagnostic performance in the preoperative T staging of rectal cancer using virtual monoenergetic image (VMI) on a novel dual-layer spectral detector CT.Methods:Totally 43 patients with pathologically confirmed rectal cancer were involved in this retrospective study in Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from May to October 2019. All the patients underwent novel dual-layer spectral detector CT scanning within 1 week before surgery. The 40, 50, 60, 70 keV VMI and 120 kVp conventional polyenergetic image (PI) were reconstructed based on the venous phase imagings. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) of the rectal cancer were measured and the image quality was scored using a 5-point scale to obtain the best keV VMI. Taking pathological results as golden standard, the accuracy rate of T staging was calculated and compared between the best keV VMI and 120 kVp PI. The CT attenuation, SNR and CNR were compared with one-way ANOVA analysis among the 5 groups of images.Image quality scores were assessed with Friedman test,and the accuracy rate was compared by McNemar test or Fisher exact test.Results:The SNR and CNR of rectal cancer at 40-70 keV VMI was better than 120 kVp PI ( P<0.05), the SNR at 40 keV VMI was the highest among all the VMI ( P<0.05), the CNR at 40 keV VMI was better, but there was no significant difference between 40 and 50 keV VMI ( P>0.05). The image scores at 40-60 keV VMI were all significantly superior to those of the 120 kVp PI ( P<0.001). 40 keV VMI was the best image. The accuracy rate of 40 keV VMI (67.4%, 29/43) was higher than that of 120 kVp PI (48.8%, 21/43) in the T stage ( P=0.008). The 40 keV VMI had a higher diagnostic accuracy rate (83.7%, 36/43) and specificity （58.8%, 10/17） in diagnosis of locally advanced rectal cancer (T3-4, P=0.016, 0.031). Conclusion:The image quality of novel dual-layer spectral detector CT at 40 keV VMI is good, which can improve the accuracy rate of preoperative T staging of rectal cancer.

Bioactive glass (BG) has been widely used in bone tissue engineering due to its good osteogenic property and bioactivity, but it still has some deficiencies, such as poor cell adhesion and low osteogenic rate and so on. Mesoporous biological glass (MBG) is a kind of new material originated from BG and mesoporous silica (MS). Because of its large number of nano-channel, large specific surface area, easy degradation, good biocompatibility and biological activity, MBG has great application prospects in the field of bone tissue engineering. This review would present MBG preparation and experimental research in order to provide the theoretical basis and experimental reference for related researches.

BackgroundPostoperative cognitive dysfunction （POCD） is a common complication in elderly patients after surgery， and has a great impact on postoperative rehabilitation of patients. ObjectiveTo explore the effect of mindfulness-based therapy on cognitive function and sleep quality in elderly patients after surgery under local anesthesia， so as to provide references for reducing their incidence risk of POCD and improving sleep quality. MethodsThe simple random sampling method was utilized to select 78 elderly patients who underwent surgery under local anesthesia in The Third Hospital of Mianyang from March 2022 to March 2023. Participants were assigned into study group and control group， each with 39 cases. All patients were subjected to conventional treatment and nursing interventions， and study group added mindfulness-based therapy on this basis. Mini-Mental State Examination （MMSE） was administered to patients on 1 day before surgery， and on the 1^st， 3^rd and 5^th day after surgery. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index （PSQI） was employed on 1 day before surgery and on the 3^rd day after surgery. ResultsMMSE scores revealed a significant time effect， group effect and time×group interaction effect （F=78.251， 197.071， 371.915， P<0.05）. Analysis of simple effect denoted that study group scored higher on MMSE on the 1^st， 3^rd and 5^th day after surgery compared with control group， with statistical significance （t=-3.579， -1.764， -0.253， P<0.05）. Study group reported lower incidence rates of POCD on the 1^st， 3^rd and 5^th day after surgery compared with control group， with statistical significance （χ²=2.631， 3.471， 5.135， P<0.05）. On the 3^rd day after surgery，study group scored lower on PSQI than control group（P<0.05）， and PSQI total score， sleep latency， subjective sleep quality， daytime dysfunction and hypnotic drug use factor scores of study group were lower than baseline， with statistical significance（F=43.175， 12.594， 11.092， 4.579， 3.514， P<0.01）. ConclusionMindfulness-based therapy may have certain value in reducing incidence of POCD and improving sleep quality in elderly patients who underwent surgery under local anesthesia.

Synonyms of Fangji Fulingtang exist in ancient medical books， while the formula composition in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber is more widespread and far-reaching. In this formula， Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix， Astragali Radix， Cinnamomi Ramulus， Poria， and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma are the dried root of Stephania tetrandra， the dried root of Astragalus embranaceus var. mongholicus， the dried shoot of Cinnamomum cassia， the dried sclerotium of Poria cocos， and the dried root and rhizome of Glycyrrhiza uralensis， respectively.
