A new method for the rapid determination of total phthalates (PAEs) in edible oils was developed. The PAEs in edible oils all were hydrolyzed to phthalic acid with tetrabutylammonium chloride (TBAC) as catalyst. Then phthalic acid was extracted by the supramolecular solvent ( SUPRAS) made up of octanol, tetrahydrofuran and aqueous solution, and detected by high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS / MS). As a result, hydrolysis time was 10 min. The linear range of phthalic acid was 0. 05- 2. 0 mg / L with a good correlation coefficients ( r > 0. 999). The limits of detection ( LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were 5. 41 and 18. 05 μg / kg, respectively. The recoveries of target analyte at three spiked levels were in the range of 84. 6% - 104. 5% . The repeatability, expressed as relative standard deviation (RSD), was 2. 6% for intra-day and 3. 7% for inter-day. The total PAEs content of 12 edible oils was found in the range of 0. 30-1. 09 mg / kg.

Objective: To investigate the impact for family history of hypertension on masked hypertension (MH) morbidity with relevant cardiac damage. Methods: Our research included in 3 groups: MH group, n=250 consecutive patients treated in our hospital from 2010-01 to 2015-04, Hypertension group, n=250 and Control group, n=250 subjects with normal blood pressure. The family history of hypertension, general clinical information, routine biochemical indexes and the findings of echocardiography were studied and compared among different groups. Results: ① There were 70 (28%) patients with family history of hypertension in MH group, 87 (34.8%) in Hypertension group and 26 (10.4%) in Control group. The ratio of family history of hypertension in MH group was higher than Control group, P<0.001, while it was similar between MH group and Hypertension group, P>0.05. Logistic regression analysis presented that family history of hypertension and body mass index were positively related to the morbidities of MH (r=1.468, r=0.173) and hypertension (r=1.195, r=0.086). ② Compared with Control group, MH group had increased left ventricular mass index (85.64 ± 17.7) g/m2 vs (80.50 ± 15.53) g/m2 and the maximum blood flow velocity of aortic valve (115.74 ± 16.54) cm/s vs (112.40±14.21) cm/s, all P<0.05. In MH group, compared with those without family history of hypertension, the patients with family history had the higher left ventricular mass index (89.22 ± 19.08) g/m2 vs (84.25 ± 16.99) g/m2 and the maximum blood flow velocity of aortic valve (119.19 ± 14.97) g/m2 vs (114.39 ± 16.96) g/m2, all P<0.05. Conclusion: The subjects with family history of hypertension had the higher risk of MH morbidity with more severe cardiac damage.

Objective To investigate correlation between QT interval(QT),corrected QT interval(QTc) and metabolic syndrome(MS). Methods Residents who participated in our survey concerning atherosclerosis and related diseases conducted in Shenyang were included. They accomplished questionnaire, physical examination, laboratory tests and electrocardiography test. We divided them into MS group and non-metabolic syndrome (NMS)group according to International Diabetes Federation(IDF)diagnostic criteria for MS. QT interval was measured from the standard 12-lead electrocardiogram. QTc was calculated by using Bazett and Fridericia equations. We analyze correlation of QT ,QTc and MS. Results A total of 739 residents who were 35~64 years old were included. Individuals with MS had longer QTcB and QTcF than NMS group[(415.8 ± 31.9)ms vs.(410.1 ± 32.1)ms, (407.2± 29.1)ms vs.(402.6 ± 28.8)ms,P<0.05]. The more the number of abnormal MS parameters they had, the longer the QT,QTcB and QTcF they had. Regression analysis showed that QT was associated with serum potassium, smoking, blood glucose, and LDL,and QTcB and QTcF were associated with hypertension, waist circumference and blood potassium. Conclusions MS is associated with corrected QTc. Careful ECG monitoring among persons with MS for early detection of a long corrected QT interval may prevent severe and often fatal arrhythmias or sudden death.

OBJECTIVES:
To evaluate the application value of CT-based radiomics features for the ascending and descending types of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
METHODS:
A total of 217 NPC patients (48 ascending type and 169 descending type), who obtained CT images before radiotherapy in Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University from February 2015 to October 2017, were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were randomly divided into a training set (=153) and a test set (=64). Gross tumor volume in the nasopharynx (GTVnx) was selected as regions of interest (ROI) and was analyzed by radiomics. A total of 1 300 radiomics features were extracted via IBEX. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) logistic regression was performed to choose the significant features. Support vector machine (SVM) and random forest (RF) classifiers were built and verified.
RESULTS:
Six features were selected by the LASSO from 1 300 radiomics features. Compared with SVM classifier, RF classifier showed better classification performance. The area under curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity were 0.989, 0.941, 1.000, and 0.924, respectively for the training set; 0.994, 0.937, 1.000, and 0.924, respectively for the validation set.
CONCLUSIONS
CT-based radiomics features possess great potential in differentiating ascending and descending NPC. It provides a certain basis for accurate medical treatment of NPC, and may affect the treatment strategy of NPC in the future.
