Objective To explore the improvement of traditional incision in thoracotomy and the application of subaxillary vertical small incision in lung operations. Methods We carried out a retrospective analysis on documents of 680 cases of subaxillary vertical small incision pneumonectomy conducted in this hospital between December 1996 and June 2003. Results The length of incision was 8~13 cm (mean, 11 2 cm). The time for thoracotomy was 4 5~10 min (mean, 6 min) and the operation time was 50~ 170 min (mean, 135 min). The intraoperative blood loss was 100~1200 ml (mean, 350 ml), the postoperative drainage volume was 120~800 ml (mean, 300 ml), and the perioperative blood transfusion, 0~1400 ml (mean, 300 ml). Postoperative pain classification results revealed that 585 cases of grade 1, 60 cases of grade 2 and 35 cases of grade 3 severity were observed. The postoperative hospital stay was 10~21 days (mean, 14 days). No surgical death occurred. Conclusions Subaxillary vertical small incision can be simply made. It offers minimal invasion, less blood loss, mild postoperative pain, quick recovery and good cosmetic results, being a viable option in most operations of pneumonectomy.

Objective To discuss the diagnosis and surgical management of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma(PSH).Methods Clinical records of 33 cases of PSH(34 lesions) in this hospital from 1987 to 2002 were reviewed. There were 6 male cases and 27 female cases, with a mean age of 41.3 years(range,24~57 years).Twenty-three cases had an initial symptom of bloody sputum, while 10 cases were disclosed by physical examinations.Image findings revealed solitary mass of the lung in all the cases,in 5 of which a "crescent sign" was presented. Results Preoperatively,28 cases were diagnosed as having pulmonary benign tumors(including 5 cases of suspected sclerosing hemangioma),1 case was clarified as having PSH by percutaneous needle aspiration cytology, and 4 cases were misdiagnosed as having lung cancer. All the patients received surgical treatment, including 21 cases of unilateral pulmonary lobectomy,1 case of bilateral lobectomy,5 cases of segmentectomy,4 cases of wedge resection(including 1 case of bilateral thoracoscopic wedge resection),and 2 cases of tumor excision. The operation time was 45~210 min(mean,90 min),and the blood loss was 100~600 ml(mean,230 ml).No peri-operative deaths were encountered.Follow-up surveys in 33 cases for(3~)10 years(mean,5.5 years) found no recurrence. Conclusions In middle-aged women,if the sign of bloody sputum develops, and image findings indicate the solitary mass of the lung, especially with a "crescent sign",a diagnosis of PSH is possible.Percutaneous needle aspiration cytology is helpful to make a confirmative diagnosis in some patients. It is advisable to manage the disease surgically.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of treating liver cancer using 131I-anti-CD147-monoclonal-antibody (131I-anti- CD147-McAb) by transcatheter hepatic arterial infusion (TAI) in a rabbit liver cancer model. Methods Forty-five rabbit models were randomly divided into three groups evenly. Transcatheter hepatic artery infusion under general anesthesia were performed in all three groups. Group A:control group, saline. Group B:pure 131I solution. Group C: 131I-anti-CD147-McAb solution. About 2 ml blood sample was obtained from all rabbits for liver, kidney, and thyroid function at pre-TAI and post-TAI 1 day, 3 days ,7 days, 14 days, 21 days. The rabbits were scanned by single photon emission computed tomographic (SPECT) to monitor radionuclide bio-distribution and tumor size on 1 day, 7 days, 14 days, 21days after procedures in group B and C. On 14 days after procedure, five rabbits were randomly selected to be sacrificed in each group for pathological and immunological investigations. The remaining rabbits continued to be fed, and survival rates were measured. Results The TAI and SPECT-CT/CT procedures were successfully performed in all rabbits. Test results showed that AST and ALT levels tended to increase transiently 1 day after TAI (P<0.05). The liver function returned to pre-operative levels (P> 0.05) 7 days after TAI. FT3 and FT4 mean values of rabbits in group B and C continued to decline 7 days after TAI, while thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) showed corresponding increase (P<0.05). WBC mean value of rabbits in group B and C declined slightly after procedures (P>0.05). SPEC-CT imaging of rabbits shows that most of the radionuclide was gathered in the gastrointestinal tract and thyroid in Group B, however, radionuclide was mainly concentrated in the tumor lesions in Group C. Fourteen days after procedures, radionuclide imaging of all rabbits disappeared in group B and C. The VX2 liver tumors increased rapidly after treatment in group A and B;but the tumors gradually reduced their size in group C. At 14 days after TAI: The proportion of tumor necrosis in group C was significantly greater than that in groups A and B (P<0.05). The microvessel density (MVD) number of residual tumor in group C was less than groups A or B (P<0.05).TUNEL analysis suggested that more apoptosis bodies was displayed in the residual tumor tissue in group C than that in groups A and B, but the expression of MMP-2 and vessel endothelial grouth factor (VEGF) was significantly reduced in group C than group A and group B. Median survival time of the rabbits in groups A, B, C was 22 days, 26 days and 54 days respectively. Survival time of the rabbits in group C was significantly prolonged than other two groups (P<0.01). Conclusions Radioimmunotherapy with 131I-anti-CD147-McAb by TAI can inhibit the growth and metastasis of liver cancer, and prolong the survival of experimental animals. The method is effective and safe in this animal study.

The derivatization towards the hydroxyl groups of steroid environmental endocrine disrupting chemicals, such as estrone(E1),17β-estradiol(E2),estriol(E3) and 17α-ethynylestradoil( EE2),with A,O-bis (trimethylsilyl) trifluoroacetamide ( BSTFA ) as derivatization reagent followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) was studied. The effects of the amount of BSTFA,derivatization temperature and time on the derivatization of target compounds,as well as the stability of steroid derivatives, calibration curves, instrumental quantification limits were investigated. The cleavage mechanism of steroid derivatives characteristic fragment ions was also interpreted. The results showed that better derivatization results were obtained when the amount of BSTFA was 25 μL for 100 μL steroids standard mix solution at 0.01 g/L;it is unnecessary to heating in the derivatization, better results were obtained when the steroids were derivatized with BSTFA at room temperature (20℃) for 10 min. The derivatives of target compounds were stable because their relative response factors(RRFs) had no observable change when deposited at -20℃ for 48 h. Under the optimal conditions, good linear correlation was obtained and the instrumental quantification limit was 0. 3μg/L for E1 and E2,while it was 5μg/L for EE2 and E3.

Objective To explore neuroprotective effects of blonanserin on H2O2-induced injury in PC12 cells. Meth?ods PC12 cells were divided into four groups:control group (C group), H2O2-treated group (H group), blonanserin pretreat?ed group (B group) and positive control group (vitamin E- pretreated, E group). The effects of different concentrations of blonanserin (0, 5, 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 μmol·L-1) on cell proliferation in PC 12 cells were observed. MTT assay was used to detect the cell activity of different groups. The apoptotic rates of different groups were measured by TUNEL assay. The mor?phological changes were observed using inverted microscope and Hoechst 33258 staining. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) vi?ability and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were detecded by biochemical methods in four groups. Results The appropriate concentration of blonanserin (0-20 μmol·L-1) can promote the growth of PC12 cells. Comparing with the C group, the apoptot?ic rate and MDA level were increased in group H, while the cell viability and the SOD viability were decreased obviously ( P<0.05). Compared with H group, the cell viability, SOD viability were significantly increased, while the MDA level and apoptotic rate were decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion Blonanserin shows neuroprotective effect on H2O2-induced injury in PC12 cells.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
A salt-tolerant strain GYW capable of decolorating azo dye was isolated and identified as Halo-monas sp.by 16S rDNA.The result showed that the decolorizing salt-tolerant bacteria could survive above the 10% salt concentration and it could decolorize many dyes. The strain had a high decolorizing rate on acid red GR under the condition of pH 7.5,anaerobic 30?C and 10% NaCl.The ion of Cl- strong inhibited the decolorization of acid red GR,and the ion of SO42- affected little on the decolorization, and the lycine addi-tion with the optimal concentration of 200 mg/L could enhanced the decolorization rate under high NaCl concentration.

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of single-center infant kidney donor adult dual kidney transplantation to explore the difference of different operation methods and the operation options of different donor kidney conditions so as to improve the success rate of children kidney donor adult dual kidney transplantation and reduce complications. Methods:A total of 42 cases of infant and adult dual kidney transplantations at Department of Kidney Transplantation in The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from December 2012 to May 2019 were divided into two groups according to whether or not donor kidney fulfilled the criteria of three " 5" . According to different surgical approaches, they were divided into three groups of A (classical En-Bloc operation), B (separated dual kidney transplantation) and C (modified operation). The clinical data and prognoses were analyzed. Results:The median follow-up period was 55(11-92) months. The estimated glomerular filtration rate was 123.4(92.2-156.6) ml/min for operation A, 97.2(81.3-116.6) ml/min for operation B and 133.9(133.9-133.9) ml/min for operation C. In donor group not fulfilling the " 5" principle, no thrombotic event occurred for operation A/C and 3 cases of transplantation for operation B. There were single renal embolism ( n=2) and dual renal embolism ( n=1)(3/5, 60%)( P<0.05). Urinary protein was positive in the last follow-up: operation A (1/2, 50%) and operation B (3/5, 60%) ( P<0.05). The estimated glomerular filtration rate at the last follow-up was 82.4(80.9-83.9) ml/min for operation A, 71.8(46.1-114.2) ml/min for operation B and 122(83.3-142.4) ml/min for operation C. The 1-year graft survival rate was 100% and 89.5% in three " 5" donor group and 3-year graft survival rate was 100% and 84.2% respectively. Conclusions:Satisfactory outcomes might be obtained during dual kidney transplantation for infants and adults. The incidence of thrombosis, urine leakage and urinary protein is lower in improved kidney transplantation group than that in previously operated group. The problem of graft hyperperfusion injury is well solved. And the long-term follow-up outcome is excellent.
