Objective To evaluate the effects of modulated, medium frequency electrotherapy on hemodynamics after thoracic surgery to provide non-pharmacological measures for preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT).Methods Seventy thoracic surgery patients were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Both groups received conventional treatment and nursing. The experimental group (35 patients) was treated with modulated, medium frequency electrotherapy additionally while the control group (35 patients) was not. The vein systolic maximum velocity (Vmax), vein diastolic minimum velocity (Vmin) and time-averaged mean velocity (TAVM) in the femoral vein, the superficial femoral vein, the deep femoral vein, the popliteal vein and the anterior tibial vein were observed before the operation, 4h after the operation, just after 20 minutes of electrotherapy, 15 min after the electrotherapy and 30 min after the electrotherapy. Results There were significant differences among the time points in the experimental group. There was no significant difference among the time points in the control group. There were significant differences in lower extremity hemodynamics between the experimental group and the control group at end of the electrotherapy session, but no significant differences at the later time points. Conclusions Modulated, medium frequency electrotherapy has a significant effect on lower extremity hemodynamics. It is an effective method for DVT prophylaxis in perioperative thoracic surgical patients.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2011;33(3):212-213
Objective To study the immunological regulation of Nasal Healing Spraying Agent (NHSA). Methods Test models were setup by irradiation. The models were administrated with NHSA by lavage and immune adherence of red cells was tested by chaplet experiment with blank and positive control. Results NHSA could increase Red Blood Cell-C3b Receptor Rosette (RBC-C3bRR) and reduce Red Blood Cell-Immune Complex Rosette (RBC-ICR) in mice. Compared with blank control group, the results in the high dose group and middle dose group were statistically significant (P<0.01). The result also showed that NHSA could elevate the quantity and activity of Red Blood Cell-C3b Receptor (RBC-C3bR) and reduce the Immune Complex (IC) to enhance the red cell immune function in mice effectively. Conclusion NHSA could elevate the RBC immunity function in mice and increase immunoregulatory function.

0.05). The sequence of five clones from one serum which was identified precore mutation by mPCR-RFLP were all A1896 mutant strains.Another serum identified mixture infection by mPCR-RFLP , one clone was A1896 mutant strain and four were G1896 wild strains. The results of mPCR-RFLP were verified by cloning. Conclusions Comparison with sequencing, the mPCR-RFLP method is simple, accurate and can be used in large-scale surveys and clinical research.

The quality of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the concentrated reflection of its pharmaceutical value. We should pay attention to the quality of Chinese medicine because it is the core problem for the development of traditional Chinese medicine. Thequality of traditional Chinese medicine is the important connotation of Chinese medicine professional high-level personnel training. Thequality of Chinese medicine has become a priority of degree and diploma education in different levels of traditional Chinese medicine class specialized courses. The quality of Chinese medicine is an important content of traditional Chinese medicine curriculum system and includes the knowledge of Chinese traditional medicine quality factor, quality requirements, quality characteristics, quality management and quality evaluation, etc. This paper mainly discusses thequality of Chinese traditional medicine curriculum structure, textbook compilation and talent cultivation.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(6):488-490
Objective To investigate the effects of protein active composition of Scorpio on apoptosis of L1210 tumor cells for the purpose of establishing the quality evaluation method of biological effect of Scorpio. Methods L1210 cells were examined by trypan blue exclusion. The proliferation of cells was determined by improved MTT assay. Flow cytometry was performed to analyze cell apoptosis with propidium iodide (PI). Results When the concentration of protein active composition of Scorpio exceeded or equaled 37 mg/ml, the coefficient correlation of the growth inhibiting curve of L1210 cells was 0.9357, and IC50 was 175 mg/ml. The excellence time was 0 to 48 hours. When the concentration of protein active composition of Scorpio exceeded or equaled 9.25 mg/ml, the apoptosis ratio of L1210 cells was raised significantly. Conclusion The protein active composition of Scorpio might promote the apoptosis and restrain the proliferation of L1210 cells. The value of anti-tumor biological effect of the protein active composition of Scorpio was 9.25 ~ 175 mg/ml. This value may be one of the indexes for quality evaluation of biological effect of Scorpio.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;35(7):563-569
Objective:
To investigate the current status and influencing factors of knowledge, attitude, and practice of hypertension prevention and control among rural residents in Shanxi Province, so as to provide insights into implementation of health education pertaining to hypertension control in rural areas.
Methods:
A total of 7 403 residents were sampled using a multi-stage cluster random sampling method from rural areas of Yangqu, Daning, and Yonghe counties of Shanxi Province from November 2020 to July 2021 for face-to-face questionnaire surveys and physical examinations. Residents' basic characteristics, knowledge, attitude, and practice of hypertension prevention and control, and height, weight, blood pressure were collected, and factors affecting knowledge, attitude, and practice of hypertension prevention and control were identified using a generalized linear model.
Results:
A total of 7 403 questionnaires were allocated, and 7 031 effective questionnaires were recovered, with an effective response rate of 94.98%. The respondents included 3 035 men (43.17%) and 3 996 women (56.83%), and had a mean age of (58.45±13.75) years. The median scores of hypertension prevention and control knowledge, attitude and practice were 5 (interquartile range, 4), 16 (interquartile range, 5) and 14 (interquartile range, 7) points, with scoring percentages of 48.40%, 80.55% and 54.41%, respectively. Generalized linear model analysis showed that an educational level of junior high school and above, annual family income per capita of ≥4 000 RMB, family history of hypertension, development of hypertension among family members or friends, overweight/obesity and presence of depression resulted in high scores for hypertension prevention and control knowledge; annual family income per capita of ≥10 000 RMB, family history of hypertension, presence of hypertension among family members or friends, mild/severe insomnia and presence of depression resulted in high scores for hypertension prevention and control attitude, while age of ≥65 years and blood pressure of ≥140/≥90 mmHg resulted in low scores for attitude; females, age of ≥45 years, an educational level of junior high school and above, blood pressure of ≥140/≥90 mmHg, family history of hypertension, presence of hypertension among family members or friends and overweight/obesity resulted in high scores for hypertension prevention and control practice, and residents had a low body weight had a low score for practice (all P<0.05).
Conclusions
The hypertension prevention and control attitude is satisfactory among rural residents in Shanxi Province; however, the hypertension prevention and control knowledge and practice are poor. Health education pertaining to hypertension prevention and control should be strengthened, and personalized health education is needed targeting individuals with a low educational level and low income.
