1.Nursing Care in Oral Medicine Outpatient Clinic and Its Role in Control of Cross Infection

OBJECTIVE To diminish and discontinue intra-hospital cross infection in oral medicine outpatient clinic.METHODS The administration of personal resources control was developed,the equipment and systemic control of aseptic process and isolation was reasonably arranged,and the quality control was enhanced.RESULTS Every criterion of aseptic and isolation work all adapted to the demanding set up by Ministry of Health referred to hospital infection control quality standard,oral medicine outpatient clinic infection control was standardized and regular scientific channel was set up.CONCLUSIONS Nursing administration care can play a main and key role in the control of cross infection inside hospital in oral medicine outpatient clinic.
2.Clinical analysis of diabetic mother neonatal blood glucose intervention in the perinatal period

Objective To investigate the influences of different intervention in maternal gestational diabetes newborn(IDMs)on blood glucose and complications in the perinatal period.Methods 205 IDMs were divided into observation group and control group.The observation group was born within 1 hour after birth or use baby bottles or nasogastric(feeding)feeding 10% glucose 5mL/kg.1-2 hours,raw milk,2-3 hours after until the normal blood glucose 2 times in a row.The control group was given priority to with breastfeeding,feeding difficulty with artificial feeding.Born after 1h,2h,3h,6h,12h,24h,48h,blood sugar,high statistical neonatal hypoglycemia,neonatal bilirubin levels,neonatal diseases were monitored.Results There was no significant difference in incidence of hypoglycemia between the two groups (P >0 .0 5 ).Born after2 h and 3 h ,the glucose levels ofthe control group were (3 .0 1 ± 0.45)mmol/L,(3.02 ±0.51 )mmol/L,respectively,those in the observation group were (3.14 ±0.72)mmol/L, (3.18 ±0.69)mmol/L,there were significant differences between the two groups(t =3.901,4.236,all P <0.05). The incidence rates of hypoglycemia in the control group 2h,3h after birth were 28.0%,19.0%,those in the observa-tion group were 5.7% and 2.8%,there were significant differences between the two groups(χ2 =9.215,6.852,all P <0.05).Born after 12h,24h,48h,the blood glucose levels in the two groups were in the normal range,there were no significant differences (all P >0.05 ).The incidence rate of hyperbilirubinemia in the observation group was 21.0%,which was significantly lower than the control group 8.6%,there was significant difference between the two groups(χ2 =5.216,P <0.05 ).Conclusion IDMs different intervention methods in the perinatal period can decrease the incidence of low blood sugar 2h,3h after birth,reduce the incidence of high neonatal bilirubin,and have no effect on other diseases of newborn babies.
3.Compare the characteristics of liver damage in tsutsugamushi disease during different periods

Objective To compare the characteristics of liver damage in tsutsugamushi disease during different periods. Methods Group A contained 56 cases of tsutsugamushi disease admitted from January 1997 to December 2000,of which 21 cases were complicated by liver damage,while group B contained 80 cased of it admitted from January 2006 to December 2009,including 47 cases complicated by liver damage.Comparative analysis were conducted retrospectively for two groups in terms of liver damage. Results The average age of group A(41.1 ± 14.7)years was significantly lower than that of group B(52.9 ± 15.5)years(t=3.014,P <0.01); The incidences of hepatomegaly and splenomegaly in group A were significantly higher than group B(x2=4.675、6.254,both P <0.05)whereas group B had significantly higher incidences of lack of appetite,abdominal distension and jaundice(all P <0.05);The values of various liver function in Group B were significantly higher than group A(all P <0.05). Conclusion The incidence of tsutsugamushi disease is increasing in recent years and the liver damage is becoming more severe.
4.Restoration of Tetracycline stained Teeth with a Visible Light Cured Compound Resin

We began to restore tetracycline stained teeth with a visible light cured compound resin in 1986. Thirty-three cases, a total number of 86teeth were cured with follow-up for 6-12 months. The beneficial rate was over 90% This paper presents the therapeutic method and its procedures for three (?) of tetracycline stained teeth. and this paper also discusses the cause of fail ure cases. We suggest the conclusion that this method is a simple, better one, with some advantages: no need for polishing teeth or polishing little, cavities well closing and no obvious stimulation to the dental pulps.
5.Analysis of the Situation and Trend of Drugs Used in the Hospital of Shanghai District During the Period 1998~2000

OBJECTIVE:To clarify the trend of drugs used in Shanghai District and the relationship between drug-use and medical insurance reformation METHODS:Data of the period 1998~2000 was analysed which was provided by hospital drug use analysis system of 46 hospitals in Shanghai District RESULTS:Total value of purchase in 2000 increased by a wide margin in comparison with those in past 2 years The increasing range of imported drugs reduced and that of domestic drugs increased year by year While the increasing rangs of joint venture products kept stable The percentages of the purchase value of the first 100 and 15 kinds of drug in total value of purchase declined year by year The sequence of drugs did not change in 2000 compared with that in 1999 CONCLUSION:There is a close relation between the trend of drug consumption and medical insurance reformation
7.The Notch signaling pathway is involved in intestinal adaptation in a massive small bowel resection rat model

Objective To investigate the role of Notch signaling in massive small bowel resection(MSBR)-associated crypt epi-thelial cell proliferation.Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats were subj ected to sham operation(bowel transection and reanastomo-sis)or 70 % mid-SBR.Intestinal tissue samples were collected at 7 d after operation.The expression of Notch pathway mRNAs and proteins were analyzed by RT-PCR and Western blot.The expression of the Notch pathway proteins Jagged-1,NICD and Hes-1 also determined through immunohistochemical.Furthermore,IEC-6 cells were used to examine the function of the Jagged-1 signaling system.Results SBR increased crypt epithelial cell proliferation and increased expression of Jagged-1 and Hes-1 mRNA and protein along with cleaved Notch-1.Immunohistochemical staining showed that Jagged-1,cleaved Notch-1 and Hes-1 colocalized in the same crypt epithelial cell population.Recombinant Jagged-1 significantly stimulated the proliferation of IEC-6 cells.Conclusion The Jag-ged-1/Notch-1/Hes-1 signaling pathway is involve in intestinal adaptation through increase crypt epithelial cell proliferation.
8.A STUDY OF GASTRIC MUCOSAL HISTOLOGY AND GASTRIC ACID SECRETION AFTER VAGOTOMY

3.5) .Ninteen patients with duodenal ulcer underwent HSV(12) or SV+A (7).BAO and PAO(pentagastrin)decreased by 76.8% and 60% after HSV as compared to 83.4% and 90.4% after SV + A . Geeral clinical postoperative results were appro-ximately the same in the two groups, wih 83.3 % and 86% visick I or II for HSV and SV + A respctively.Results of both animal experiments and clinical investigations showed that HSV caused neither histolo-gical changes in gastric mucosa nor the development or augmentation of gastritis. In contrast bath TV + PP and SV + A induced augmentation of gastritis (especially in the antrum and around the stoma) which might have resulted from reflux of duodenal contents. There was, howver, no relationship between reduction of acicse-cretion and the presence or absence of gatritis and its severity.No reduction of gastric glands were observed. There were no significant changes in size. shape and density of parietal cells postoperatively either. These results provided no histological evidence for post-vagotomy acid secretory reduction.
9.Cyclosporine inhibits apoptosis in experimental murine xerophthalamia conjunctival epithelium.

This study examined the inhibitory effect of topical cyclosporine (CsA) treatment on conjunctiva epithelial apoptosis in a murine model of xerophthalamia. Dry eye was induced in 3 groups of C57BL6 mice by subcutaneous injection of scopolamine (t.i.d) and exposure to an air draft and low-humidity environment for 16 h each day for 12 days. The dry eye control group received no topical treatment; another group received 1 microL of 0.05% CsA topically (t.i.d, dry eye+CsA); and the third group received 1 microL of the castor oil vehicle of CsA topically (t.i.d, dry eye + vehicle). Normal mice were used as untreated controls. Twelve days later, the mice were killed, and their conjunctivas were excised. The number of the conjunctival goblet cells was counted in tissue sections stained with periodic acid Schiff (PAS) reagent. Their conjunctiva epithelium had been investigated by immuno-histochemical staining to detect the goblet cells and the expression of Caspase-3, Bax and bcl-2. Our results showed that compared with dry eye control and dry eye mice + vehicle groups, the number of conjunctival epithelial goblet cells was significantly greater in the untreated controls and dry eye mice receiving CsA (P < 0.01 for both groups). There was no significant difference in the number of conjunctival epithelial goblet cells between the dry eye control and dry eye+vehicle group. It was also true of the number of conjunctival epithelial goblet cells when comparison was made between the normal group and the dry eye+CsA group. Expressions of Caspas-3 and Bax were increased and ex-pression of bcl-2 was decreased in conjunctival epithelial cells in dry eye control and dry eye mice+vehicle groups. There was a significant positive correlation between goblet cell number and the number of cells that expressed bcl-2, and a negative correlation between goblet cells and Caspase-3 and Bax expression. It is concluded that the topical use of CsA could significantly reduce conjunctival epithelial apoptosis and protect goblet cell against the loss in experimental murine xerophathalamia. Inhibition of apoptosis appears to be a key mechanism responsible for the therapeutic effect of CsA on xerophthalamia.

Excision repair cross complementing group 1 (ERCC1) gene is an enzyme of the speed limit of DNA repair protein in nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathways.Researches suggest that ERCC1 has been associated with cisplatin resistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.Thus,ERCC1 gene is a new target in malignant tumor gene therapy research,providing a new approach for the treatment of malignant,especially NSCLC.
