Objective To study the diagnostic value of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in patients with SARS.Methods The level of hs-CRP and CRP in patients with SARS,general bacterial pneumonia and the control are quantitatively detceted by automatically partielc enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay. Results The quantification level of -hs-CRP and CRP are 0 69?0 62mg/L and 4 4?0 9 mg/L in healthy control respectively,10 79?1 36 mg/L and 98 0?28 9 mg/L in bacterial pneumonia,3 16?3 72 mg/L and 11 0?9 6 mg/L in SARS.Conclusion The serum level of hs-CRP and CRP rese in patients with both SARS and bacterial pneumonia, especially in the latter, which is 2 4 and 7 9 times more than the former. This suggests that hs-CRP and CRP may be goog indicators to differentiate SARS with general bacterial pneumonia.

Objective:To introduce a method combining thread-burying in eyebrow and construction of double eyelid for treatment of upper eyelid cutis laxa in the middle-aged and young. Methods: We used 3-0 non-invasive thread for intradermal suture and fixed the eyebrow to the superciliary periost, then double eyelid construction was performed to remove the superfluous skin of upper eyelid in 23 patients with upper eyelid cutis laxa. Results: All the 23 cases obtained satisfactory clinical outcomes, with the upper eyelid cutis laxa obviously improved. Conclusion: Thread-burying in eyebrow combined with double eyelid construction is a simple and effective strategy for treatment of middle-aged and young patients with upper eyelid cutis laxa.

Objective To study the practical clinical value of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) combined with other laparoscopic surgery. Methods 206 patients treated by LC combined with other laparoscopic surgery were analysed retrospectively. Results Among the 206 cases of LC combined with other laparoscopic surgery, LC was combined with choledochal exploration in 64 patients, with appendectomy in 29 patients, with fenestration of hepatic cyst in 38 patients, with other hepatic operations in 13 patients, with unroofing of kidney cyst in 15 patients, with release of abdominal adhesions in 31 patients, and with other operative procedures in 16 patients. Laparoscopic operations were successful in 204 patients, and 2 patients were converted to laparotomy. Postoperative bile fistula occurred in 2 patients; 1 healed with conservative therapy, and 1 healed after reoperation. Conclusions Laparoscopic cholecystectomy combined with other laparoscopic surgery can adequately present the advantages of microsurgery by safe, effective and economical management of various abdominal diseases.
