The college students innovative test project,which advocates student-centered teaching pattern focusing on questions and subjects is an important component of the project on undergraduate teaching quality and teaching reform in medical college of Shanghai Jiao Tong university.The innovative test project has effectively fostered the innovative spirits,practical abilities,scientific attitudes and learning initiatives of the college students after being implementing for more than four years.Besides,it has changed the teaching philosophy of teachers and created a favorable atmosphere of innovative practice.Several problems have emerged during the implementation of the project including broad topics,limited sample size and incorrect motives for doing tests.Exclusive mechanism aiming at the long-term effect of the project should be established, the concept of the project should be promoted and the communication platform should be built in order to consummate this project.

AIM: To study the pharmacological effect of Weichangshu (WCS) (Rhizoma coptidis, Fructus Evodiae., etc.) on rodent gastrointestinal function and gastric mucosa, and to analyze its analgesic and antidiarrheal mechanism. METHOD: Mouse's hypermobility induced by neostigmine and its gastric emptying were treated by WCS in comparison with normal subjects, rat's gastric ulcer induced by absolute ethanol, diarrhea induced by castor oil, pain induced by acetic acid and rat's gastric secretion and absorption were observed. RESULTS: The experimental results showed that WCS did not affect normal mouse's intestinal propulsion but significantly antagonized neostigmine induced intestinal propulsion and inhibited the gastric mucosa injure and decreased the frequency of the writhe and limited diarrhea. CONCLUSION: WCS has power to recover gastrointestinal function and lessen gastric mucosa injury and has analgesic and antidiarrheal effect.

Objective Promote the development of disciplines and enforce the construction and training of talent echelon through selection and assessment of discipline and academy leaders.Methods Conduct classified management on different disciplines and academy leaders concerning theirworking positions.The specific measurements include setting up selection and evaluation systems separately with different focuses,implementing dynamic management,establishing performance oriented mechanisms of promotion and demotion during the tenure period.Results The construction of talent echelon plays a significant role in capacity building of young talents,team building and development of all disciplines.Conclusions Systematic measurements could promote the development of disciplines and cultivation of reserved talents,including attaching importance on talent echelon establishment,defining suitable function of hospital,strengthening talent team building;establish a well-functioning talent management mechanism and effective incentive mechanisms.

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of tuina plus foot bath with Chinese medicine for patients with diabetic foot (DF) in early stage.Methods:A total of 70 patients with early-stage DF were randomly allocated by the random number table into two groups,with 35 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional medication,while patients in the observation group received tuina plus foot bath with Chinese medicine on the basis of conventional medication.The clinical efficacy was compared after 2 courses of treatment.Results:After treatment,intra-group comparisons of ankle-brachial index (ABI) showed statistical significance in both groups (both P＜0.05).The curative rate was 83.3％ in the observation group,with the total effective rate of 96.7％,versus 29.4％ and 76.5％ in the control group,respectively,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (both P＜0.05),indicating a better effect in the observation group.Conclusion:Tuina plus foot bath with Chinese medicine has a good therapeutic effect for DF patients in early stage.

One hundred elderly patients with hyperthyroidism were enrolled in a paired design study.The outcome of ~(131)Ⅰand antithyroid drug(ATD)treatments was examined after 2 years.The results showed that ~(131)Ⅰcould be recognized as the safer,more convenient and effective treatment than ATD for the elderly patients with hyperthyroidism.

2-Dimensional gel electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) were used to screen differentially expressed serum proteins in Uyghur patients with hyperuricemia and control subjects.Western blot was used to validate differential proteins.Gel-image analysis revealed that there were 11 differential protein spots.A total of 4 differential protein spots were successfully identified by MALDI-TOF-MS.Complement 3,complement 4,haptoglobin,and apolipoprotein Al levels were up-regulated in patients as compared with controls.The result of complement 3 expression was validated by Western blot,which is accordant with that of proteomics.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Ru'ai Shuhou Recipe (RSR), a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine, on 5-year recurrence rate after mastectomy in breast cancer. METHODS: A total of 300 patients with breast cancer were divided into two groups: treatment group and control group. The patients in the treatment group were treated with Western medicine and RSR, and the patients in the control group were treated only with Western medicine (the same as the treatment group). In the two groups, the 5-year recurrence rates after mastectomy in breast cancer were investigated. RESULTS: Thirty-four breast cancer patients were lost to five-year follow-up during the course of investigation, and 266 breast cancer patients went through the evaluation. The 5-year recurrence rate after mastectomy in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The recurrence rate after mastectomy was influenced by positive lymph node, primary breast tumor size, clinical stage, and patients' health status. There was significant difference in the 5-year recurrence rates between the two groups (P<0.05) under the following conditions, such as the positive lymph nodes more than four, the primary breast tumor larger than two centimeters, and in the clinical stage II and III, estrogen receptor (ER)-positive/progesterone receptor (PR)-positive and ER-negative/PR-negative. The recurrence rate was not associated with the operation method and age distribution. CONCLUSION: RSR can reduce the 5-year recurrence rate after mastectomy in breast cancer.

Objective To study the influence of different body serum iron levels on follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),luteinizing hormone (LH) and uterine ovarian index,and explore the body serum iron level effects on female mice sexual maturity further.Methods 36 three weeks C57BL/6J female mice were randomly divided into the normal control group,strengthen-iron 1 group and strengthen-iron 2 group,12 cases in each group.The normal control group with normal diet(310mgFe/kg),strengthen-iron 1 group and strengthen-iron 2 group were given high -iron diets(respectively with 465mgFe/kg and 620mgFe/kg) after born 3 weeks.each group body,uterus and ovary mass after 2 weeks were checked;colorimetric method was used to detect the serum iron level;the serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) were detected by chemiluminescent immunoassay.Results The body of mice serum iron levels,uterine ovarian index (uterine ovarian wet mass/body mass) and follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) level of strengthen-iron 1 group and strengthen-iron 2 group were higher than those of normal control group (F =9.11,11.11,7.09,all P ＜ 0.01).Luteinizing hormone (LH) level of the strengthen-iron group was higher than those of normal control group (F =3.89,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Uterine ovarian index,follicle stimulating hormone level and luteinizing hormone level were affected with increased serum iron level;It suggests that the increasing serum iron level can cause female mice sexual maturity in advance.

Objective To explore the influence factors for bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD) in different gestational age preterm infants.Methods The medical records of 118 premature infants who were diagnosed as BPD at West China Second Hospital,Sichuan University from January 1,2011 to December 31,2015 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the gestational age,the premature infants were divided into extremely-early-premature infants group (＜ 28 weeks),very-early-premature infants group (28-31 weeks) and late-premature infants group (32-36 weeks).The differences in pregnancy complications,the use of glucocorticoids before delivery,gender,mode of production,medication for preterm infants with different gestational age preterm infants were analyzed.Results One hundred and eighteen preterm infants included 18 extremely-early-premature infants,82 very-early-premature infants,and 18 late-preterm infants;71 baby boys and 47 baby girls,with birth weight ≤1 000 g in 27 cases,1 000-1 500 g in 70 cases,1 500-2 000 g in 15 cases,and ＞2 000 g in 6 cases.There was a statistically significant difference as for the full use of continuous positive airway pressure between the extremely-early-premature infants group (9 cases) and the late-preterm infants group(2 cases) (x2 =6.415,P =0.011).The late-preterm infants group whose mothers experienced preeclampsia were more seriously affect than extremely-early premature infants group (x2 =4.018,P =0.045) and very-early-premature infants group (x2 =4.878,P =0.027),and there was no statistically significant difference between extremely-early-premature infants group and very-early-premature infants group (x2 =0.279,P =0.597).A significantly increased total oxygen duration was observed in extremely-early-premature infants group [(56.56 ± 29.58) d] compared with very-early-premature infants group[(43.15 ± 14.86) d] and late-preterm-infants group [(37.75 ± 16.87) d] (F =8.185,P =0.000) with statistically significant difference.A significantly increased hospitalization time was observed in extremely-early-premature infants group [(56.56 ± 29.58) d] com-pared with very early premature infants group [(46.23 ± 14.04) d] and late-preterm-infants group [(39.06 ± 29.81) d] (F =5.606,P =0.004).Conclusions The number of BPD in extremely-early-premature infants and very-early-premature infants increases compared with that in the late-preterm infants.Gestational age is the high risk factor for the occurrence of BPD,the gestational age should be delayed as late as possible.Prevention of extremely-early-premature birth and very-early-premature birth,and avoidance of intrauterine hypoxia and rational use of oxygen are the important measures for prevention of BPD occurred in premature infants and reducing hospitalization time.

Objective To compare the effectiveness of medicated γintrauterine device (IUD) and medicated genefix IUD inserted immediately after abortion. Methods A multicenter clinical trail was performed for the study from Mar. 2012 to Jan. 2013. Totally 840 women who volunteered to participate were randomly allocated to γ-group (medicated γ IUD) or genefix-group (medicated genefix IUD) immediately after abortion. While 464 abortion women who had not used IUD or steroids contraceptive methods were chosen as control group. The effectiveness of the IUD were followed up for 1 year. All women were required to record the number of vaginal bleeding days and blood volume of vaginal bleeding within 3 months after abortion. Results At the 12th month, the expulsion was the most common reason for termination. The expulsion rates of genefix-group and γ-group were 2.48/100 women years and 3.12/100 women years, respectively (P>0.05). For the expulsion reasons, IUD moving down could account for more than seventy percent. The removal rate for IUD usage of two IUD groups were almost equal (3.91/100 women years verus 4.35/100 women years), the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). At the 90th day after abortion, comparing with control group, the bleeding and (or) spotting days of genefix-group and γ-group extended by 3.9 and 2.6 days respectively, the differences had statistical significance between the three groups (P<0.05). Among the bleeding and (or) spotting days, spotting days prolonged significantly. At the 12th month, spotting days of genefix-group andγ-group were (9.2±5.9) days and (8.5±4.6) days respectively, more than (5.2 ± 4.0) days of control group. The differences had statistical significance between IUD with control group (P<0.05), and had not between the two kinds of IUD (P>0.05). Conclusion The insertion of medicated genefix IUD and medicated γ IUD immediately after abortion is safe, feasible, has slight side effects and could be effective contraception.
