Intestinal infection is one of the most common infectious diseases in children in China, and the intestinal infection is often featured as the diarrhea the main clinical symptom. Systematically understanding the etiological characteristics of intestinal infection in children in China and efficiently detecting the pathogens are crucial on the early treatment and prevention of diseases. The detection technology of clinical pathogenic microorganisms in China is undergoing a revolutionary era from microscopic examination to metagenomic sequencing.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the status and papers information of Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology, and provide a guide for authors, readers and editing staffs.

METHODSWe retrieved papers of Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology from 2009 to 2013 from CNKI, and performed a statistical analysis of papers information contained in the text using bibliometrics method. Papers information such as document type, found support, author affiliation type, and discipline classification, etc. was analyzed.

RESULTSSeven hundred and forty two papers including 27 full English articles in total were published in Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology from 2009 to 2013. More papers were supported by national, provincial, and the other foundation, it was about 82.6% of all papers.

CONCLUSIONChinese Journal of Applied Physiology has stable manuscript resources, various discipline papers, and play an important role for development of applied physiology in China.

Objective To explore the development requirements and tentative ideas on the standardized teaching wards in the internship course of undergraduate nursing students. Methods 134 nursing undergraduate students before the internship and 70 nursing teachers were recruited in this study. A self-made questionnaire was distributed to these students and teachers to explore their requirements and needs in the development of the standardized teaching wards. Results The majority of students and nursing teachers thought that it was necessary to design and develop the standardized teaching wards for the nursing students and the six items of this study were accepted by them. Conclusion The standardized teaching wards will be designed and developed according to the six items of this study.

Objective To investigate relationship between microRNA-200c and ZEB1 in cervical epithelial mesenchymal transition factor. Methods 50 cases diagnosed with cervical cancer whose tumor tissue were taken to be the experiment group.50 cases diagnosed with uterine myoma whose normal tissue were taken to be the control group.ZEB1 and microRNA-200c of uterine tissue were were detected.Results The average level of ZEB1 in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), and in cervical cancer, lymph node metastasis and the depth of myometrial invasion had statistically significant (P<0.05).In experimental group, microRNA-200c average was lower than control group (P<0.05), and in cervical cancer, different pathological grade group, lymph node metastasis and deep muscular layer infiltration had statistically significant(P<0.05).In experimental group, ZEB1 and microRNA-200c showed negative correlation(r =-0.270 P =0.001).Conclusion The expression level of ZEB1 in cervical cancer is higher, and the expression level of microRNA-200c in cervical cancer is lower, suggesting that the two factors may play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of cervical cancer.The correlation between the two factors suggests that microRNA-200c may be involved in the process of cervical cancer by ZEB1.

Objective The effect of leech injection on experimental therombus formation in rats was studied. Methods The method of common carotid artery-external jugular vein by accessory pathway in rats was used. leech injection to observe its antithrombotic effect. At the same, related indecex were assessed. Results The leech injection inhibited the formation of experimental thrombus obviously and reduced aggregation of plate]et and adhesiveness of platelet. Conclusion It is suggested that leech injection has the effect of antithrombosis formation.

Objective To explore the protective effect of atorvastatin on irradiated endothelium and the thrombomodulin(TM)expression.Methods Cultured human coronary artery endothelial cells(HCAEC)and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC)were treated by atorvastatin at the final concentration of 10 μmol/ml for 10 min,and then irradiated with 2 and 25 Gy.Cell cycles status and TM expression were quantitatively measured by flow cytometry 24 hours after irradiation.Protein C activation in endothelial cells was also assessod.Results After administration with atorvastatin for 24 h,the TM expression increased by 77%,59% and 61% in normal control group,2 Gy group and 25 Gy group,respectively(t=27.395,26.420,58.065;P=0.000).The protein C levels decreased by 23% and 34% compared with the normal group post-irradiation to 2 and 25 Gy,but increased by 79% and 76% compared with the irradiated control group after administration with atorvastatin.The rates of cell apoptosis decreased by 6% and 16% in 2 Gy and 25 Gy groups,respectively after administration with atorvastatin for 24 h(t=4.178,17.863;P=0.000).Conclusions Atorva statin can protect endothelia cell from irradiation-induced apeptosis by increasing TM expression and protein C activation.

Objective Following the prognosis of patients with myasthenia gravis(MG) who received both immunosuppressants and thymectomy, to determine whether the sequence and timing of treatment have influences on outcomes of MG and also to select significant predictors of prognosis.Methods It was a retrospective study which reviewed 105 patients with MG who underwent thymectomy and immunosuppressants between Januay, 2000 and December, 2013.All patients were divided into two subgroups based on their order of treatment.Thirty two patients were called as immunosuppressants-first group, and 73 patients were called as thymectomy-first group.The ratios of ideal status of two groups were compared with use of the ChiSquare test.Predictors of ideal status were analyzed by logistic regression.Results (1) After 1 year, 2 years and 5 years of intervention, the proportion of ideal status was significantly higher in the thymectomy-first group than that in the immunosuppressants-first group[(33％-50％) vs.(10％-20％), P ＜0.05].For oMG patients, after 1 year, 2 years and 5 years of treatment, thymectomy-first group had a higher ideal status rates than immunosuppressants-first group[(25％-50％) vs.(11％-18％)].But no significant difference was noted in the rates of ideal status at each follow-up time point.(2)Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that sequence of treatment (OR =0.154, 95 ％ CI: 0.046-0.518, P =0.002) and symptom-thymectomy interval(OR =0.903,95 ％ CI: 0.835-0.976, P =0.010) were the significant predictors of ideal status.Conclusion Thymectomy prior to immunosuppressants is associated with relatively good prognosis.It is suggested that patients with gMG, or adult patients with oMG who are resistant to drug, will be better to undergo thymecotomy as early as possible.

Objective To study the characters of using the high pressure injector in the contrast CT scanning for children. Methods Summarized the nursing measures of 407 children who had accepted the contrast CT scanning. Results There were 369 children have obtained perfect effects of CT scanning, 35 children have obtained general effects and there were 2 children failure. Conclusion The method of using high pressure injector in the contrast CT scanning for children is convenient, safety and effective.

Objective:To establish the quality standard for Sonehus braehyotus DC. Methods:The pharmacognosy of Sonehus braehyotus DC. were studied,and the qualitative identification by TLC and the quantitative analysis by HPLC were established. Re-sults:The microscopic characteristics of Sonehus braehyotus DC. were obvious. The TLC spots were clear with high resolution,and the quantitative research of chlorogenic acid in 10 batches of Sonehus braehyotus DC. was performed by HPLC. Conclusion:The quality control standard for Sonehus braehyotus DC. is established through the experimental studies.
