Objective To explore the association between epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) thickness and left ventricular remodeling,left ventricular dysfunction in dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).Methods One hundred and sixteen patients with DCM (DCM group) and 76 healthy subjects (control group) were examined by ultrasoundcardiogram.Left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD),left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVESV),left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV),left ventricular end-systolic volume index (LVESVI),left ventficular end-diastolic volume index (LVEDVI),left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and EAT thickness were measured or calculated,and the relationship was evaluated.Results EAT thickness in DCM group was significantly lower than that in control group [(4.7 ± 1.2) mm vs.(7.6 ± 2.1) mm],and there was statistical difference (P ＜ 0.05).The linear correlation analysis results showed there was positive correlation between EAT thickness and LVESD,LVEDD,LVESV,LVEDV,LVEDVI,LVESVI (r =0.236,0.220,0.245,0.256,0.282,0.279,P ＜ 0.05),and there was no relationship between EAT thickness and LVEF (r =0.134,P ＞0.05).Conclusions In patients with DCM,there is a correlation between EAT thickness and ventricular remodeling.There is no correlation between EAT thickness and left ventricular dysfunction.

Objective To study the expansion and purification of human retinal progenitors cultured in vitro.(Methods Human) embryonic retinal progenitor cells(RPCs) were cultured.The characteristics of neural stem cell were observed.The expression of Nestin was examined flow cytometry(FCM) for the comparsion between the primary and secondary passages.The differentiation of RPCs had been observed after that they had been cultured in different conditions.Results Human RPCs had proliferated and formed cell clusters with a shape of neurosphere.After digestion,the scattered progenitors formed secondary neurosphere-like cell clusters.The cells in those clusters expressed Nestin and were negative for the mature retinal cell proteins.After spontaneous differentiation,the retinal progenitors expressed special proteins of mature retinal cells,including neuron specific enolase(NSE),glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP),protein kinase C(PKC) and Syntaxin-1.The expression of Nestin in the secondary culture passage was(39.3?18.9)%,which was significantly higher than that of the primary passage [(28.7?17.7)%](P

Objective To identify Mallotus panicutus (lam) Muell.Arg and explore the acute toxicity.Methods Pharmacognostic identification and chemical reaction methods were adopted to the identification.The maximum concentration and maximum volume of ethanol extracts of M.panicutus (lam) Muell.Arg were given via intragastric administration in mice to observe the toxic and side effects after 14 days.Results The chemical reaction showed M.panicutus(lam) Muell.Arg concluded the constituents such as flavone and saponin and there was no acute toxicity in mice.After 14 days,the growth rate of mice weight of blank group and drug group were 73.5% and 62.9% (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The results could be taken as the reference for analyzing the quality of this drug and guiding the clinical medication.

Objectives To observe the effect of flurbiprofen as preemptive analgesic and it's relative adverse reactions in pa-tients undergoing selective craniotomy .Methods Sixty patients undergoing selective craniotomy were divided into two groups randomly by age,sex,location of craniotomy:observation group (Group-flurbiprofen) and control group (Group-saline).Monitored sonoclot signal and estimate bleeding amount during the operation .Evaluated the quality of emergence after operation .Recorded the VAS pain scores 2 hours,6 hours,12 hours and 24 hours after operation ,and the occurrence of adverse reactions as nausea , vomiting and respiratory de-pression.Results The concentration of prostaglandin E2(PGE2) in the serum of the observation group was lower than that of control group( P <0.05).There were no significant differences in ACT (activated coagulation time) and CR (clot rate) of the two groups( P>0.05),but the PF (platelet function) of observation group was lower than that of control group ( P <0.05).There were no signifi-cant differences in awakening time and extubation time of the two groups ( P >0.05).The 2 hours'pain scores of the two groups was of no significant difference( P >0.05),but the pain scores of observation group were lower than that of control group in 6 hours,12 hours and 24 hours after operation( P <0.05).The occurrence of nausea , vomoting and respiratory depression had no significant differences ( P >0.05) .Conclusions Flurbiprofen as preemptive analgesic can reduce the postoperative pain in patients undergoing cranioto -my,without increasing the occurrence of nausea , vomit and respiratory depression .It can effect the platelet function ,but could not in-crease the amount of bleeding .

Objective To analyze the value of the serum BHMT for diagnosis of hepatic injury in patients with acute poisoning.Methods ELISA method was used to detect BHMT in serum samples,and the samples were detected in the sera of normal persons and patients with acute poisoning.Results 300 samples were detected in the sera of normal persons by ELISA method.The average level of human serum B HMT content in 300 samples was 9.02 ng/mL(6.19-12.84 ng/mL),and the 95 ％ medical reference value of BHMT content in healthy people ranges from 0.00 to 28.01 ng/mL.BHMT and ALT were detected in 43 samples from acute liver injury,the Spearman analysis indicating a good positive correlation between BHMT and ALT(rs =0.757 62,P＜0.001).The comparison of the content of BHMT was made between the serum samples from 20 renal damage patient and 20 normal human serum,there was no significant difference in the BHMT content between the serum of patients with renal injury and the normal human serum(P＞0.05).Conclusion The medical reference value range for of serum BHMT content in healthy population ranges from 0.00 to 28.01 ng/mL.There was a good positive correlation between BHMT and ALT.BHMT might not be closely related to kidney injury,while be more specific to liver injure.BHMT could be a better marker of acute poisoning liver injury.
