Objective To explore the clinical significance of platelet count, C-reaction protein and D-dimer in Kawasaki disease children with coronary artery lesion. Methods 54 cases of children with KD treated in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were divided into coronary artery injury (CAL) group (n=15) and without coronary artery injury (NCAL) group (n=39), according to the cardiac ultrasound examination. The relationship between the changes of platelet count, C reactive protein and D- two and coronary artery lesion in the 2 groups of acute and convalescent stages were detected. Platelet count, C-reaction protein and D-dimer of 54 healthy children were measured as a control. Results The levels of the platelet count, C-reaction protein and D-dimer of the KD children during acute stage are significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05), while the levels of C-reaction protein and D-dimer of the KD children during recovery stage was significantly decreased after treatment (P<0.05), the platelet count is remarkably increased (P<0.01). The platelet count, C-reaction protein and D-dimer for the KD children with coronary artery malformation, either at acute stage or recovery stage, compared with the control group were significantly different (P<0.05), with statistical significance. Conclusion The changes of the platelet count, C-reaction protein and D-dimer levels have close relations with the cardiovascular damage to the KD children.

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of ABCG2 protein in hepato-cellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods Specimens of HCC were collected at The First Aifiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 2005 to December 2006. The expression of ABCG2 protein in 165 samples of HCC tissue, 25 samples of normal liver tissue and 40 samples of cirrhotic liver tissue was detected using immunohisto-chemistry. The correlation between the expression of ABCG2 protein and clinicopathological characters was then analyzed. Enumeration data, survival rate and the difference between groups were analyzed with a chi-square test, the Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank test, respectively. Results ABCG2 protein expression was weakly posi-tive in all normal and cirrhotic liver tissues. In HCC tissues, the expression of ABCG2 protein was strongly positive in 66 cases and weakly positive in 99 cases. The expression of ABCG2 protein was related to tumor diameter, tumor number, adjacent organ invasion and TNM stages (χ2 =8. 130, 14. 279, 4. 820, 21. 179, P <0. 05). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that patients with strongly positive ABCG2 protein had a significantly lower 3-year overall survival (24. 1%) compared with those with weakly positive ABCG2 protein (39. 4%) (χ2 = 15.716, P<0.05). Conclusions The expression level of ABCG2 protein is related to tumor invasiveness, TNM stage and prognosis. ABCG2 has the potential to become a new target for HCC treatment.

Objective To discuss the effect of different methods of dropping the high temperature of the tubercular meningitis patients. Methods 35 cases with tubercular meningitis with high fever were divided into research group(11 cases) and control group(24 cases) ,24 patients in control group were treated by traditional cooling method, 11 patients in research group were rteated by mild hypothermia therapy, The self signs, the intracranial pressure,Glasgow scores, complications and the death rates of patients were assessed and compared. Results The effective rates of the research and control cooling method were 81.8% and 41.7% respectively. The difference between the two groups was significant; After the intervention, compared with the control group, the self scale is superior in research group, and the intracranial pressure and the death rates of patients were lower, and patients'Glasgow scores were higher, but the complications between the two groups had no significant differences. Conclusion Mild hypothermia can effectively control patients'temperature,at the same time, which can improve the patients conscious state and reduce the mortality.
