Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1995;0(02):-
Eight mongrel dogs were involved in the investigation of sevoflurane effects on renal blood flow (RBF). After intravenous anesthesia and surgical preparation, RBF, MAP, HR, CVP, CO and SV were recorded as baseline. Sevoflurane was then administered to achieve end-tidal concentrations of 1, 2, 3 and 4% in succession. Following 20 mins equilibration at each concentration, and 30 mins after the termination of inhalation, the above parameters were measured repeatly for comparing. Results showed significant dose-related depressions of RBF, MAP, HR and CO with sevoflurane. RBF didn't reduce significantly until MAP decreased to 9.3kPa, with end-tidal concentration of sevoflurane no less than 3%, it didn't recover in step with improved hemodynamic parameters after sevoflurane withdrawal. This study indicates that sevoflurane may influence little on autoregulation of RBF, its dose-related cardiac depression may be responsible for the reduction of RBF.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the influence of controlling multiple cardiovascular risk factors on early renal impairment in patients with metabolic syndrome. Methods 619 in-patients were categorized, according to the diseases they were suffering from into essential hypertension group (EH, 144 cases, m/f=74/70), type 2 diabetes mellitus group (T2DM, 134 cases, m/f=79/55), and metabolic syndrome group (MS, 341 cases, m/f=167/174). The effects of controlling the blood pressure, blood glucose and plasma lipid on early renal impairment were evaluated. Results 1. There were more than one half of the patients in MS and EH with blood pressure above 140/90 mmHg, more than one half of the patients in MS and DM with HbA1c above 7.0%, and more than one half of the patients in MS with triglyceride≥1.7mmol/L with or without high density lipoprotein

Objective To discuss X-ray signs of cervica spondylosis. Methods Complete information on 327 cases of cervical spondylosis was analyzed retrospectively. Results These were 245 cases of vertebral spur, accounting for 75% ;210 cases of cervical curve changes, accounting for 62% ; 154 cases of disc stenosis, accounting for 47 % ; 137 cases of forainal stenosis stenosis, accounting for 42% ;135 case of luschka j iont degeneration, accounting for41% ;124 cases of neck ligament calcification, accounting for 38%.Conclusion Vertebral bone spur, luschka jiont degeneration and disc and foraminal stenosis were important signs of cervical spondylosis.X-ray diagnosis of cervical spondylosis had an important value.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2002;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the effects of chronic periodontitis on heart attack and stability of coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods Number of missed teeth was recorded and periodontal index evaluated in 266 patients with CAD, including 72 cases of acute mycocardial infarction (AMI sub-group), 91 cases of unstable angina pectoris (UAP sub-group) and 103 cases of stable angina pectoris (SAP sub- group ), and 266 healthy controls. Comparison was made between the both groups and between each sub-group and controls. Results Periodontal index in CAD group was higher than that in control group ( P 0.05). Conclusions Chronic periodontitis can affect heart attack and stability of CAD, which may be an independent risk factor for CAD.
