Objective To evaluate the reliability and sensitivity of detection of thyroid carcinoma lymph node micrometastasis with MUC1.Methods In 488 cases of thyroid disease,1% methylene blue 1.0-2.0mL was injected into the thyroid nodule or surrounding thyroid tissue 24hours before operation.The dye-stained lymph nodes were detected at operation and RT-PCR method was used to determine MCUI in the clinically blue-stained lymph nodes.Results The detection rate of the blue-stained lymph nodes in thyroid carcinoma was 93%,and in benign lesions was 0%.In the research group,80 cases were found to have blue-stained lymph nodes,the detection rate was 95% and was higher than the pathologr diagnostic rate which was 86%(P

Objective To prove the application of bilingual teaching in the child health care curriculum. MethodsEnglish dubbing and Chinese subtitling DVD coursewares of child growth and development were played to medical interns.The interns were asked to do questionnaires to examine feasibility and effectiveness. Results In 8-year program medical students,77.8% of them and 64.8% of the 5-year nutrition professional students could understand the contents of more than 90%.If there was no Chinese subtitles,the ratio were only 5.6% and 6.4%.Most students preferred English subtitles and dubbing,and endorsed the model of bilingual teaching. Conclusion DVD coursewares with Chinese subtitles and English dubbing can be widely used in the teaching of child health care.

Objective:To study the positive expression rate of M2 subtype of macrophage cell surface molecules and the inflammatory factors of PPS in IL-4-induced M2 macrophage.Methods:The experiment was divided into 5 groups:blank control group, Model group,PPS groups(50 μg/ml,100 μg/ml and 200 μg/ml).The expression of CD206 and CD23 was used as bio-maker to confirm IL-4 induced macrophages by treating RAW264.7 with 20ng/ml of IL-4.IL-4 induced RAW264.7 cells were treated with PPS of 50μg/ml,100μg/ml and 200μg/ml for 24 h.Then the expression of CD206,CD16/32 and CD40 were analyzed by flow cytometry, and the mRNA expression of IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-10 and iNOS were detect by qRT-PCR.Results: After treated with IL-4,the positive rate of CD206 of RAW264.7 were high.After treated with PPS ,the rate of CD16/32 and CD40 in IL-4 induced RAW264.7 cells were high ,the expression of CD206 decreased,and the mRNA level of IL-1βand TNF-αincreased.Conclusion:RAW264.7 cells can be polarlized to M2 subtype macrophage by using 20 ng/ml IL-4.PPS enhances the mRNA of IL-1β,TNF-αand the expression of CD40, CD16/32 in IL-4-induced RAW264.7 cells .These results indicate that PPS can induce the M2 subtype to become M1 macrophages, can improve immune function of macrophages.

Objective To explore lymphocyte differentially expressed protein profile and its pathogenic significance in Huaihua Dong peoples with hypertension.Methods The lymphocyte protein profiles among 130 cases of blood specimen were detected and identified with matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization/time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) and Mascot search against protein database.Results The reproducible protein-maps of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis were obtained among three groups.Compared with Dong normal peoples,the protein disulfide isomerase-related protein 5 and heat shock protein 27 showed higher expressions in the Dong peoples with hypertension (P ＜ 0.01),but chain A,structure of haemoglobin in the deoxy quaternary state with ligand bound at the alpha haems is no statistical significance(P ＞0.05).Those three proteins were upregulated in Han peoples with hypertension (P ＜0.01).Conclusions The up-regulation of the protein disulfide isomerase-related protein 5 and heat shock protein 27 in the Dong and Han peoples with hypertension suggest that those two proteins might be associated with the occurrence and development of hypertension.

Objective To investigate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)in p21and p27 genes with the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).Methods Genotypes were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restrictive fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)method in 234 patients with EOC and 284 control women in China.Results (1)The frequencies of the p21 in healthy controls were 34.2%.49.6%and 16.2%,while the distribution of the C and T allele was 59.0%and 41.0%,respectively.The p21 C/C(28.2%),C/T(53.0%),T/T(18.8%)distribution in ovarian cancer patients was not significantly different from that in healthy controls(P＞0.05).There was no statistic difference in allele distribution between ovarian cancer patients and healthy controls(P＞0.05)either.The stratification analysis by tumor histological type did show that the genotype distribution in four types of ovarian cancer patients was significantly different from that in healthy controls(P=0.02).The C/C genotype was likely to reduce the risk of epithelial endometrial cancer.and the adjusted odds ratio was 0.56(95%CI:0.32-0.98).(2)The genotype frequencies of the p27 in healthy controls were 88.4%,10.9%and 0.7%.while the distribution of the V and G allele was 93.8%and 6.2%.respectively.The V/V(93.6%),V/G(5.1%)and G/G(1.3%)distribution in ovarian cancer patients was significantly different from that in healthy controls(P=0.04).There was no statistic difference in allele distributionbetween ovarian cancer patients and healthy controls(P＞0.05).Compared with the V/G and G/G genotypes,the V/V genotype increased the risk of EOC,the adjusted odds ratio was 1.92(95%CI:1.02-3.63).Conclusion The C/C genotype of p21 may reduce the risk of epithelial endometrial cancer,and the genotype of p27 V/V may be a potential risk factor for susceptibility to EOC.
