1.Clinical application of transrectal ultrasound in treatment of prostate cancer

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of transrecral ultrasound in the treatment of prostate cancer.Methods 23 cases of prostate cancer treated with PSA,CT,MRI and postoperative pathological confirmation were analysed respectively and the results of transrectal ultrasound were compared.Results The diag- nostic match rate of transrectal ultrasound for prostate cancer was 77%.Transrectal ultrasound showed hypoecho nodes in prostate.Conclusion Transrecral ultrasound could detect prostate cancer.

Objective To investigate the effect of catalpol from Radix Rehmanniae on A?25-35-induced apoptosis of PC12 cells.Methods PC12 cells were routinely cultivated and treated by A?25-35(final concentration,20 ?mol/L) 24 hours after the addition of catalpol or saline.Forty-eight hours later,cells were examined for viability and apoptosis by MTT method and TUNEL method,respectively,while Bax and Bcl-2 mRNA expression were analyzed by semi-quantitive RT-PCR. Objective To clarify the human and animals brucellosis epidemic trends of ABa Prefectufe of Sichuan Province during 2000-2007,to strengthen the prevention and control and determine the strategy for its prevention and cure of brucellosis.Methods According to the National Surveillance of Brucella Document,serology[tube agglutination test(SAT)and plate agglutination test(PAT)]method was used to test the key people,SAT and rose Bengal plate test(RBPF)method to test the yaks and sheep in monitoring sites.Results There were 2 new human brucellosis during 2000-2007.Two thousand and eighty-eight human blood serum were detected.36 people were serohlogie positive,the detection rate was 1.72%(36/2088);the highest rate was in 2003.up to 2.65%(9/339).One hundred and eighty-two thousand,nine hundred and sixty-four cattle and sheep were quarantined.7368 were serologic positive,the detection rate was 4.03%(7368/182 964),4.16%(4844/116 356)for vak and 3.79%(2524/66 608)for sheep;the highest rate being 5.74%(195/3396)in 2001.Conclusions These general trends of human brucellosis is stable,while animals brucellosis has increased in ABa prefecture during 2000-2007.Effective prevention and cure should be adopted to prevent its outbreak.
4.Differential analysis of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis profile of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and adjacent tissue

Objective To study the difference of expression of proteins in pancreatic cancer and adjacent fissue.Methods Proteomes of eight pairs of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissue samples and adjacent tissue samples were obtained by high resolution two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2-DE).Comprehensive analyses of proteins were focused on total protein spots exhibiting statistical alternations between the two groups.Protein identification was done by peptide mass fingerprinting with tandem mass spectrometry(MS/MS).In addition,Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were performed to verify the expression of certain candidate protein.Results A total of 28 protein spot-features were found to be significantly increased and 17 significantly decreased in tumor tissues.Thirty of these protein spots were identified,which included enzymes,antioxidant proteins,signal transduction proteins,calcium-binding protein,structural proteins,chaperones and others.Western blotting and IHC further validated up-regulated expressions of one candidate protein(annexin II)in tumor tissues.Conclusions The analysis of proteomics with 2-DE on human tissue is a useful method for discovering valuable cancer marker candidates.These differential expressed proteins may serve as biomarkers for early detection and therapeutic targets to pancreatic cancer.
5.Clinical aesthetic effect of vermilion repair on cleft lips after using double-line reconstruction

Objective To discuss the clinical aesthetic effect of vermilion repair on cleft lips after using double-line reconstruction.Methods 68 children with cleft lip were repaired according to the principle of double-line reconstruction,and two contents including 7 projects,such as shapes of upper lips,vermilion borders of lips,vermilion shapes and lips,etc,were evaluated comprehensively within one month after operation for assessing the postoperative effect.Results 68 cases were followed up,with the follow-up rate of 100%,and 62 cases (91.2%) were satisfied with the vermilion repair.Six cases (8.8%) had a common effect of vermilion shapes after repair.In the 7 contents evaluated,satisfactory results were achieved in the projects except the relatively poor symmetry vermilion borders of lips.Conclusions The double-line reconstruction helps to improve the aesthetic effect of vermilion repair on cleft lips.
6.Effects of rehabilitation training on behavior and sensory evoked potential of rats with acute cerebral infarction

ObjectiveTo observe effects of rehabilitation training on behavior and sensory evoked potential of rats with acute cerebral infarction.Methods30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham operation groups (group A), model group (group B), and rehabilitation group (group C). Animal model was made by blocking the middle cerebral artery (MCA). For each group, the Bederson Neural Function was scored and balancing wood, rotating bar, and net screen were tested at the 24 hours, 3rd day and 7th day after operation respectively. The sensory evoked potential (SEP) latency of each group was also tested right after operation and on the 7th day after operation.ResultsComparing with group A, Bederson Neural Function scores of groups B and C indicated significant differences at each time (P<0.01). The ability of grasping, walking and coordinating of all groups handicapped 24 hours after operation, however, with time continuing, every function of group A restored and that of group B or C improved partly, but showed significant difference compared with group A (P<0.01). On the 3rd day after operation, balancing wood test of group C was better than that of group B (P<0.05), on the 7th day after operation, except Bederson Neural Function scores, there were significant difference between groups C and B (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Right after operation, compared with group A, the SEP latency of group B and C showed significant difference (P<0.01), on the 7th day after operation, the SEP latency of group C improved significantly compared with itself right after operation (P<0.01).ConclusionThe rehabilitation training can improve the MCAO rats' ability of equilibrating,grasping and walking and adjust the abnormal latency of SEP after MCAO, and prevent the nerve cells from damage caused by ischemic trauma.
7.Expression patterns of Th1 and Th2 cytokine genes in childhood acute idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura

Objective To study the expression patterns of Th1 and Th2 cytokine genes in childhood acute idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP) and its clinical value.Methods Peripheral blood samples from 30 patients with acute ITP before and after treatment (ITP group) and those from 20 normal healthy subjects (healthy control group) were collected (healthy control group),and reverse transcriptases polymerase chain reaction was performed to determine the mRNA expressions of Th1 and Th2 cytokine genes before and after treatment,which were compared with those of the health controls.Results The positive rate of expression levels of Th1 cytokine genes in samples from ITP patients (3.3%,3.3%) were significantly lower than those from healthy control group (all P < 0.05) and increased to normal level after treatment(16.7%,23.3%).In contrast,Th2 cytokine genes (IL-4,IL-6,IL-10)in the samples from the ITP patients(33.3%,43.3%,40.0%) were significantly higher than those from the healthy control group (all P <0.05) and decreased after treatment(10.0%,23.3%,20.0%).Conclusions Such data indicate that ITP is a Th2 cell predominant autoimmune disease,and the abnormal immunity due to Th1/Th2 shift is significant in the pathogenesis of ITP.
8.Therapeutic effect of clopidogrel combined aspirin on acute myocardial infarction

Objective :To comprehensively analyze therapeutic effect of clopidogrel combined aspirin on acute myo-cardial infarction (AMI).Methods :A total of 100 AMI patients treated in our hospital were selected ,and equally divided into clopidogrel group and combined treatment group (received clopidogrel combined aspirin ).Both groups received routine treatment for 4 weeks .Total effective rate ,platelet aggregation rate (PAR) ,coronary recanaliza-tion time ,prothrombin time (PT) ,left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and incidence rate of cardiovascular e-vents during hospitalization were compared between two groups .Results :Total effective rate of combined treatment group was significantly higher than that of clopidogrel group (96. 00% vs.80.00%, P=0.014).Compared with clopidogrel group after treatment ,there were significant reductions in PAR [ (47.63 ± 7.83)% vs.(38.45 ± 8.55)%] ,incidence rate of cardiovascular events (24.00% vs.4.00%) and coronary recanalization time [(45.44 ± 4.42) vs.(41.93 ± 5.85)] ,P and significant rise in LVEF [ (48.56 ± 5.79)% vs.(55.51 ± 6.44)%] in combined treatment group , P<0. 01 all.Conclusion : The clinical effect of clopidogrel combined with aspirin in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction is significant .

Chinese medicine pairs (CMP) are specific compatibility with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory as principle, which was formed on basis of effect and treatment theory of TCM. The compatibility of CMP can enhance the effect, or reduce the toxicity. So, compatibility effects of CMP were studied from different pharmacology levels including animals, tissues and organs, cell and molecular levels, their synergy and compatibility attenuation were also evaluated with monomer component-component (group) compatibility-single herb-CMP-formulae as the main line, and the action mechanisms were investigated, all of which can provide scientific basis for the clinical applications of CMP and creation of TCM new drugs.
