Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion in treating urinary retention after anorectal operation.Method Forty patients with urinary retention after anorectal operation were randomly allocated to a treatment group and a control group, 20 cases each. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture -moxibustion, and the control group by oral administration of Pyridostigmine bromide tablets. For the two groups, 10 d treatments were taken as a course. Two treatment courses later, the residual urine volume and spontaneous micturition were measured to see the changes, and the clinical efficacies were also compared. Result The total effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group versus 70.0% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The residual urine volume was significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05). After the intervention, the residual urine volume in the treatment group was significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05). After the treatment, the mean spontaneous micturition time was (16.52±3.18)min in the treatment group, versus (41.37±5.63)min in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture-moxibustion is an effective approach in treating urinary retention after anorectal operation, since it can reduce the residual urine volume and shorten the spontaneous micturition duration.

OBJECTIVE:To improve the efficiency and accuracy in database management of drug storehouse.METH?ODS:The computerized database management pattern of drug storehouse in the hospital where the authors work was intro?duced as follows:the account books of storehouse in-and out-record as well as invoice payments were established in Excel by computers,and these drug storehouse data were managed with the support of‘Military Health No.1’system.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:The established pattern can fill in the gap in‘Military Health No.1’system and improve the database man?agement of drug storehouse in hospital.

Objective To study the effects of intrathecally administered morphine and ketamine on nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity and nitric oxide content in the spinal cord.Methods Thirty-two male Wistar rats weighing 220-260 g were anesthetized with intraperitoneal chloral hydrate 300 mg?kg-1 . A catheter was implanted in subarachnoid space at lumbal region. Sciatic constriction injury (SCI) was produced by loose ligation of right sciatic nerve trunk with 4-0 cutgut. On the 4th postoperative day the animals were randomly divided into four groups of 8 animals :(1) control group (C); (2) morphine group (M);(3) ketamine group (K) and morphine-ketamine group (KM) . Morphine 20 ?g / ketamine 20 ?g / morphine 10 ?g + ketamine 10 ?g were injected intrathecally every day for 7 consecutive days in group M, K and KM. In control group normal saline was injected intrathecally instead of morphine and / or ketamine. The withdrawal latenvies to radiant heat focused on plantar surface were measured as radiant heat threshold before intrathecal administration of the analgesic (baseline) and 30 min after intrathecal administration of ketamine and / or morphine every day for 7consecutive days. The percentage of maximal possible effect ( MPE % ) was calculated : MPE % = (latency after intrathecal administration-baseline latency) / (radiant heat cut-off time-baseline latency) X 100% . After 7 days of intrathecal administration the animals were decapitated and the spinal cord was immediately removed and the lumbal spinal cord was dissected on ice. Background Researches have suggested that the defocus can induce the change of static visual acuity,but whether it produce influence on dynamic visual acuity is not clear.Objective This study was to investigate the impact of myopic defocus on static visual acuity and dynamic visual acuity and explore the essential difierence between static visual acuity and dynamic visual acuity. Methods Forty volunteers were enrolled in this trial.including 20 adults with the age of 27.4±1.64 years and 20 children with the age of 11.70+1.49 years.All the eyes of subjects received regular examined to excluded the eye disease with the best corrected vision of ≥1.0 D,astigmatism of ≤0.75 D and anisometropia ＜1.50 D.+1.00 D,+1.50 D,+2.00 D,+2.50 D slasses were ware respectively for the defocus on the foundation of full correction.Dynamic visual acuity was inspected by using selfmade DVA-I training software.and static visual acuity wag tested by static visual acuity chart (Precision Vision,CAT.NO.2125).This clinical trial complied with the Helsinki Declaration and obtained the approval of Ethic Committee of Wenzhou Medical College.Written informed consent was received from each individual prior to the protocol. Results The dynamic and static visual acuities were gradually decreased with the elevation of defocus (F=506.907,P=0.000).No significant differences were found between static visual acuity and dynamic visual acuity in adult or children at various defocus(P＞0.05).The regression linear analysis showed that a positive correlation between static visual acuity with defoeus(R2=0.819,t=26.72,P=0.000) or dynamic visual acuity with defoeus(R2=0.826,t=27.42,P=0.000).The slope and intercept between defocus with static visual acuity were steeper than that between defocus and dynamic visual acuity (slope:F=34.18,P=0.000;intercept:F=1005.56,P=0.001). Conclusion The effect of defocus on static visual acuity is different from that of dynamic visual acuity.It could be speculated that dynamic visual acuity is related not only to refractive systems but also other factor.

Objective To study the different effects between intermittent eliminating white blood cells and immunosuppressive agents pulse therapy in children′s anaphylatoid purpura nephritis on the base of hormone′s treatment.Methods Twelve cases of anaphylatoid purpura nephritis were enrolled in the study and divided into 2 groups.After failure in the hormone′s treatment,the observation group was applied with intermittent eliminating white blood cells(5 mL/kg,1-2 times/week),and the control group was treated with immunosuppressive agents[cyclophosphamide(CTX) 0.8-1.0 g/m~2,or methotrexate(MTX) 8-10 g/m~2].Results There were no significant differences between the 2 groups.The observation group had no obvious side effects,but the control group all had different side effects.Conclusion The treatment of intermittent eliminating white blood cells can have better effects without the side effect resulting from immunosuppressive agents.

Objective To investigate the influence of coxsackie B virus (CVB) and mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) superinfection on immunological manifestation of recurrent respiratory tract inflammations(RRI) in children.Methods One hundred and thirty-two hospitalized children with RRI between Jan.to Dec.2005 were divided into negative control group,MP infection group,CVB infection group and superintection group by determining anti-MP IgM and anti-CVB IgM.Blood sedimentation,C-reactive protein,IgG,IgA,IgM and T lymphocyte subpopulation etc.were determined in four groups.The anti-MP IgM was determined by specificity immune agglutination test.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect anti-CVB IgM.The IgG,IgA,IgM were determined by simple agar diffusion method.T lymphocyte subpopulation was tested by flow cytometry.Results The percentage of CVB infection was 32.1%,mainly expressed in the 1-3 years old children;the percentage of MP infection was 22.7%,mainly expressed in children over 3 years old.In both CVB and MP infection group,the ten-dency of IgG increased and that of IgA decreased.IgM in the CVB and MP superinfection group was obviously higher than that in negative control group and MP infection group (Pa

Objective To understand the mechanism of cerebral energy failure after hypoxia ischemia at the molecular level and to establish the protocol for the safe and effective treatment of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).Methods One hundred neonatal rats were divided into normal control group and hypoxic-ischemic(HI) group. SD rats of both groups were decapitated at the time of 2 h,24 h,48 h,72 h and 7 d after HI.These tissues of cerebrum,cortex and hippocampus were taken out to explore the influence of HI on the expression of GLUT1 and GLUT3 genes with the method of RT-PCR.Results There was an enhancement in the expression of GLUT1 and GLUT3 genes with the increasing of day age. The expression was more intense in hippocampus than that in cortex. However, HI could significantly enhance the expression of GLUT genes. The expression was higher in cortex than that in hippocampus. The expression of two genes reached the peak at 24 h after HI, but was significantly lower than that in control group at 7 d after HI.Conclusion The increased expression of GLUT genes can maintain the energy supplement for the brain and delay a cascade reaction of cerebral energy failure.

One hundred elderly patients with hyperthyroidism were enrolled in a paired design study.The outcome of ~(131)Ⅰand antithyroid drug(ATD)treatments was examined after 2 years.The results showed that ~(131)Ⅰcould be recognized as the safer,more convenient and effective treatment than ATD for the elderly patients with hyperthyroidism.
